Called on Friday to get reservation for 10 on Sunday for a birthday. Arrived at 12.20 to be told did not have reservation down After 15 mins of checking found it was not put down for correct day..they finally put enough tables together for our party. Stating this never happens to them and they were on 8 mins behind on reservation time. Waitress took orders promptly..but we had to ask for items that were suppose to come with our meals. They did not even ask if any one wanted dessert..it was a birthday party. The management never came by to check on our table..Food was ok..nothing special Hostess was not friendly and never smiled except when we left..she was sitting at the bar.. read more

We enjoyed their house-made thousand island dressing in crisp and cold dinner salads, their excellent ribeye, what might have been "the best chicken friend chicken ever," and a tasty remoulade sauce with fried green tomatoes. Everything smelled so good when we walked in. I was really looking forward to lunch. It's a very clean, nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, I think we chose poorly on our orders. We had the fried green tomatoes and crab cake appetizers. The tomatoes weren't to our liking. They were very thick cut. May be a preference thing. Just used to a much thinner cut. The crab cakes were pretty good. But it was only an ok lunch for $50! We went for a Sunday brunch and it was easy to make s reservation. The seating area is spacious and the tables are not up against each other where you can hear others conversations. Very nice. We were seated immediately and a server came and took our drink order. After a bit another server came and asked if we had been helped and he took our drink and food orders. The original server came back and apologized for being slow. Our food came and it was delicious! And the service was spot on the rest of our dining experience. We will definitely go back and try a dinner! read more

The food and service were great. So also a fun fact. The bathroom was super nice and clean. My wife had the French toast and I had the shrimp and grits. It's funny how they give a disclaimer on the grits. The disclaimer is they are going to be purple. They don't make them in hour and the grits they buy are purple. I enjoyed the dish with purple grits underneath the savory sauce. My wife had her signature Bloody Maria which was great. I had the saline sunrise (tequila sunrise) definitely will wake you up. Lol. We made reservations for Sunday brunch at Blue Heaven. The parking lot is clean and well maintained. Signs the interior probably is too. The interior of the restaurant is clean and bright. Tables are spaced far enough apart to give room for chairs to easily slide in and away from the tables. The noise volume was low so a conversation could be held. Walls are adorned with original art. A fun one is of Blue Heaven restaurant in Key West. The waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable of menu items. My husband and I each chose a hamburger with fried potatoes. Delicious!! I could only eat 1/2 of my burger it was so filling. Our son had waffles & chicken. Another delicious choice according to him. Our daughter in law had the breakfast burrito. She said it was very good and huge. She took 1/2 of it home. I'm looking forward to coming back to Benton so we can experience Blue Heaven again. Pictured here my friends is something called the triple crown. It is a filet topped with a crab cake, shrimp and a cream sauce. This was served with asparagus and a twice baked potatoe. Prior to this wonderful collection of goodness hitting the table, I enjoyed a side salad side salad and some rather bland crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms we nice in texture and not skimpy on stuffing, but they lacked seasoning. Back to the triple crown previously mentioned, it was anything but bland! The filet was cooked to perfection, a nice medium rare. Every bite of this meat melted in my mouth. I enjoy steak quite a bit and have been to a variety of places to have it. I can easily say this was the best steak I have ever had! Pairing this steak with a tender crab cake and plump shrimp was a genius idea. When we asked how often the triple crown was a nightly special, we were told pretty often lately. Maybe I shouldn't share this goodness with others, but it's too good to deny others a chance of the having the same experience as me. Dessert was not had as the restaurant was closing and frankly, there was not room after I cleaned my plate. RAVE! Blue Heaven! The best food I've ever had. The bread was like a pillow. I got the shrimp scampi and it's the first restaurant I've had in a long time that made me say wow. I beat our waitress to asking for the desserts because I wanted to see how good that can be and we got the Reese's pie. I hate peanut butter and it was amazing! These days I've been staying home and cooking restaurant favorites but that experience made the money worth it. The issue we continue to have with this restaurant is being treated as if they don't want your business. Manager and hostess are rude and disrespectful. We have tried to eat here multiple times and getting a table is the challenge. She will not even take your name to get on a list to be seated. She recommended that we go somewhere else!!! We have eaten here several times, the food is good and the wait staff has always been very friendly. But we refuse to beg to get a seat to spend a fortune when we can go elsewhere where business is appreciated. Not going back. read more

The environment, inside and out, is amazing! These people really went all in to make everything so beautiful and fancy, yet still homey and comfortable. The food is a little pricey, but pretty good overall. I was most excited about, but mostly disappointed in the fried duck confit. It was pretty dry, but the skin was tasty. I also tried the fried cornish hen. It had more flavor and was juicier than the duck, but was still a little disappointing. The fried green tomatoes were good, but a very small portion. I heard the burger is amazing, though. The strawberry cake everyone was talking about was very dry. Looking back on it, the food was not the best part of the experience. I've passed this building for years, it's always been a blue plate lunch style place. We were in town for a football game, and not many options that aren't fast food. Glad we tried it. The building looks great on the inside. Not sure what it looked like prior, but I suspect it wasn't anything like this. The patio area looked super swell, too, although we were there pretty close to closing so the place was pretty empty. Overall, the food was fresh and the service was good. Not a lot of value for the price, though. Pre-tip was $135 for the two of us, and that was with two apps, two entrees, and a beer. Service was efficient. The crab cakes were great: good amount of crab and the sauce was sort of like a runny pimento cheese. Not a fan of green tomatoes; no fault of Blue Heaven, I just don't like them. My wife did, and that's all that matters. Salads were good. Nothing special. A little skimpy on the dressing, but that's on me. I usually ask for extra proactively (I like it moist,) but just forgot. My wife had the Caesar. Wife had the blackened snapper. She was a huge fan. Really enjoyed it, and honestly it seemed under priced. Well cooked: flaky and moist (nice!), not dry or overly salty. I had the bone-in tenderloin. I'm used to seeing these types of cuts at Eddie V's, Empire, or Arthur's. This was indeed a tenderloin, with some bone on it. Not like the prep I've seen elsewhere. It was on the thin side, so it was partially overcooked and not my preferred medium-rare, but was good. It looked dry, but actually was not. Not a lot of value for $65, but the price would be in line with any steak place, but with a thicker cut. Not a fan of the sautéed brussel sprouts. They were more uncooked, than cooked and the whole preparation was a little bland. I'm not sure when I'll be back in that area with time to kill, but I'd probably go back. Good food. Good service. Steak was cooked correctly (MR). The menu is back lit which levels the place up. The atmosphere is nice. Then your servers are wearing shorts and tie dye shirts. Idk, for the price and the atmosphere it just makes everything feel off? I don't know how to describe it. Just makes it seem "cheap" which it is not. I say level up on the servers dress code. My first time trying blue Heaven. It's a small restaurant in Benton, AR. It took about 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes before our waitress came to our table. I ordered the French toast with a side of bacon and potatoes. The French toast came out warm, bacon was cold and burnt, and the potatoes were cold too. The food food was just okay, nothing special.
