We were traveling through Little Rock, Arkansas on a Friday looking for a good cheese dip and saw this restaurant mentioned in a top 10 list. It did not disappoint! It was very busy on a Friday and there was a wait for tables but we found two empty seats at the bar and ordered our meal there. There were friendly patrons and friendly service at the bar so that turned out very enjoyable. And the food was amazing - that smoked queso appetizer served with potato chips (versus tortilla chips we expected) was surprisingly was so delicious. I got a grilled shrimp basket and my husband got the blackened catfish basket. The shrimp were grilled with seasoning to perfection but I couldn't resist dipping them in the leftover queso along with my fries. Took it to the next level of flavor combining them with the dip. I can see why the place was so busy - patrons next to us were describing other delicious dishes served there and I don't doubt they are all good! If we are traveling through again this would definitely be a stop we would plan to make again for a meal. read more

I think they are losing sight of the details. There needs to be a good deep cleaning. The floors are sticky, the menus are dirty and please feel free to clean the salt and pepper shakers. The best you can hope for is you walk in and receive food. The food won't 'wow' you and the service won't impress. They feel they are doing their job by bringing you food. Did the manager forget they are in the service industry? Poorly trained staff who show up to work to hang out and BS with their friends instead of work. They will not cook a burger medium rare. They flat out refuse. Blackened catfish was disgustingly mushy and undercooked. The bartender didn't even notice that I had over half my plate of food left when we were done. He reached over our plates that were pushed to the edge of the bar with napkins piled on top. I gave 2 stars because the beer is super cold and the bartender was nice. Not attentive but nice. Service was good, food was good, and patio option was great cuz we had our 2 dogs with us. I ordered crawfish etoufee & onion rings; hubby got the jambalaya. To drink, I had the huckleberry strawberry lemonade & boo had the bourbon swizzle. Mine was good, he said there was too much mint in his, otherwise it was good. We love the food at Copper Mule. The last two times we have eaten there we have been confused about the bill. I sent a letter to the restaurant and the owner called us to explain the bill and also stated he and his wife would review the bill and make it a little easier to understand. He was very nice and offered us a small token of appreciation for letting him know our concerns. We will be back. Love the shrimp and grits and gumbo. read more

There is nothing I can say other than, "Why did it take me so long to try The Copper Mule?!" Everything was perfect. The hamburgers were cooked exactly to our liking. The onion rings were quite possibly the best I've ever had. My wife said her club sandwich was amazing. The Mule Balls were a step out of my culinary comfort zone, but they were excellent. Pretty good Cajun food for a restaurant north of Monroe and Shreveport, LA. Our table of three enjoyed staples like red beans and rice, fried shrimp Po Boy, and a nice seafood pasta dish. Crawfish Po'boy was pretty good! Not New Orleans' quality, but probably one of the best for central Arkansas!

I ordered Hamburger steak medium rare, came out as tough as a clowns shoe after a three ring circus, which is what it became at the Copper Mule. They told me they would remake it and comp it. Well it came back blue, more rare than even this clown would eat. They double charged me for the hamburger steak and took one off!! That's what the manager called a comp on my lunch!! What a complete fiasco. After telling him the remake was also inedible, he finally took off the second charge of the hamburger steak. Zero stars for customer service. Zero stars for common sense. Zero for service. After every request the waitress disappeared for an eternity and showed up like she just left the table, ugh. The crawfish Mac and cheese was tasty, the only reason the clown was lenient! My wife ordered the blackened catfish and was pleased, taste was good, a tad pricey in the clowns opinion. One area is dedicated to dining and the other has a bar that fills the entire wall with a few tables scattered around as well. I came to Little Rock yesterday to meet with some clients. After the meeting I offered to take them to lunch and they suggested this place. I had the crawfish & cheese dip app (outstanding!) and the shrimp & grits entree (the best I've eaten outside of Charleston and New Orleans!). But the best part for me was the service from Nicole R. She knew when to check on us and when to leave us alone. She was friendly and professional, as expected from someone in the hospitality industry, but she has a natural charm and wit that someone either has or doesn't. Food was excellent, would have been spectacular if it had been served in a timely manner. There were 4 of us and and everyone's food was no longer hot or even warm by the time it was served. I complained about the fries being cold and everyone else had finished eating by the time i got my hamburger and warm fries back. So I really liked everything I ordered but my friends did not. Plus service was really slow so that's the reason for 4 stars. First off this place is super cute! I loved the decor and bar. I wanted to come here for the fun drinks I had seen online. So I ordered a pink flamingo and asked for it in a fun glass, it came out in a light bulb. I loved it! Could not taste the alcohol it tasted like juice but I def get it after!! Second drink I got was a blueberry mojito which just came out in a regular glass. I later learned they have actually stopped doing the fun glasses cause ppl stole them. I ordered the shrimp in grits for my meal and it was so good! Everything here is very heavy which is probably why my friends didn't like it. The seafood sampler, everything is friend so they couldn't eat it all. Very heavy on oil. The shrimp and grits I could tell was also more than fattening but very creamy and delicious so I didn't care. I came back a returning time with a friend cause she wanted to try the drinks. Had the chicken sandwich, it was not really seasoned. The greens tasted like they came out of a can, the hamburger was dry, and the fried green tomatoes were greasy.
