We dined at Copper Grill in Downtown Little Rock on a Friday evening to celebrate my mother's birthday. Even though the restaurant was full, we were seated right away which was a great start to the evening. Our server was very attentive and friendly, checking on us often and making sure everything came out just right. The ambiance was warm and cozy, making it a perfect place for a relaxed celebration. We ordered the grilled pear salad with shrimp, a Caesar salad with salmon, a side of onion rings, fries, and for dessert the coconut cream pie and cheesecake. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I've eaten here several times before and the food is consistently great. It is always a reliable spot for a nice dinner downtown. I asked for a recommendation for a restaurant from the airport hotel where we were staying. They quickly recommended the copper grill and it did not disappoint. The seafood is guaranteed to be from Lake or Sea within 48 hours or something like that so very fresh I had the red fish sandwich which was delicious and the grilled vegetables which were equally is delicious, relaxing atmosphere and our waitress, Suzy, made us feel right at home. The restaurant and our waitress are a great face for Little Rock. Next time I'm in town I will be back. read more

Copper Grill had some really good food. I got the Sweet Hot Burger and my girlfriend had the pork chop--both were amazing. Great flavors, cooked right, no complaints on the food side at all. The staff was super nice too, everyone we talked to was friendly. The only downside was the pacing. It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks, another 30 for our appetizer (which we ordered with the drinks), and then another 30 for our meals. Kinda weird since it wasn't even that busy. Also didn't get our waters refilled until the end when we asked. Overall though, solid spot. Would totally go back, just hope the service is a little quicker next time. read more

I was here during a conference- we chose this spot for a group dinner for 15. They readily accommodated the reservation. The place is very nice, interior nice decorated. I think the day we were there they may have been short on staff or our group was just large because the service was slightly slow, but very nice. I had fried oysters and the salmon sliders- both VERY good. I wish I wasn't so tired from the day, I would have enjoyed more overall but the food was very good, service solid. The appetizers were very decent (spicy shrimp and onion rings), probably should have gotten the sampler after contemplation - it looked amazing. The meatloaf was "moderately" good, just void of any distinct seasoning. The pork chop was plentiful. Both serving sizes were a great value for the price paid. OAN: some of the staff seems marginal in the customer service department. Again, the wait staff ALL appearances were excellent (just slow in our instance). The entry greeting at hostess was lukewarm (at best). Almost felt - unwelcoming. And we dined just as the sun set and we chose a window so that we could look out onto the patio. The guys were told to come and raise all shades. When you approach my table to enter my personal dining space and change the ambiance, the acceptable thing to do is say "we normally raise the shades at this time, is that ok." ‍ Extra points for having a nice looking patio. read more

We came in 10 minutes before HH ended and was sat about 5-7 minutes after. It was a group of 13 and overall the service was good considering the party size. We ordered multiple orders of wings, oysters and shrimp for the table to share. As entrees, we ordered the smothered redfish, their standard cheese burger, a catfish platter, the seafood pasta, a pork chop dinner and fried oysters. We also ordered a few alcoholic beverages, which everyone who had one enjoyed. Overall, the food was okay. The fried chicken wings were regular. There's much better chicken as far as taste and quality in the Little Rock area. The ranch was good and helped the chicken out ALOT. 5/10 Redfish entree was good! A bit spicy, leaving a trail of spice in your mouth minutes after eating. 7/10 Cheeseburger w/ pepperjack cheese and fries. I prefer another main chain for those but it was okay. 6/10 Catfish entree - 5/10 Pork chop- 7/10 Seafood pasta- 7/10 Broiled oysters- 6/10 Fried oysters- 5/10 The worst dish was definitely the fried shrimp. I don't know if the shrimp weren't cooked properly or if they used gulf shrimp but it was extremely fishy and chewy. We ordered 3 orders and ended up eating ONE as a table. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. I personally wouldn't come in for anything else but a drink and maybe the redfish entree. read more

Was in town for a conference and a few of us walked over to this place. There was a bit of a wait but they got us seated quicker than the estimated time. Bartender makes a great Paloma! The fried Mac n cheese balls are a must. I wasn't a fan of the blackberry jam with them but it tasted great on its own. I had a cheeseburger..flavored well but way overcooked. I ordered medium rare and got well done..I ate it anyway bc I was starved. They have a lot of interesting menu options so I would visit again when in town. I really wanted to like this restaurant. We were in Little Rock to pick up relatives from the airport and wanted to have a nice dinner before heading back home. The evening started off pretty well, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was darker than I like, but I guess it's ok if you are looking for a romantic spot. We ordered the oyster appetizer and it was quite good, but not enough for all four of us, so we ordered ordered a second. Then it took a turn toward the strange. My sister asked about a wine, and asked if she could taste it because the server had no information. While the server told her he would bring her a taste, he also admonished her that she couldn't taste a whole lot of wines. She had only asked to taste one specific wine, and he didn't specify what "a whole lot of wines" meant. The menu was a bit limited, so we opted for burgers, usually a safe bet in a grill. My sister ordered the house specialty burger and my nephew and I the classic cheeseburger. We ordered three different cooking temperatures, medium rare, medium, and medium well, and all had a different choice of cheese. While the sever didn't write anything down, he clarified the order twice. My sister and I chose to substitute mashed potatoes for the fries when we were told they were not hand cut. That should have been our first clue. I thought it was odd that we neither smelled nor heard food on the grill, but chalked it up to good separation of the kitchen and dining areas. When the food arrived, the reason was clear. The burgers were previously frozen, with the telltale fake grill marks, and none were cooked to the requested temperatures. They were very salty, dry, and tasteless. When the server asked if everything was okay, and I told him my burger was overcooked he accused me of ordering that way and took no responsibility, never offering to correct the problem. When we asked about sending it back, he appeared to be uncomfortable and mumbled "I can see what they say." It would seem that the wait staff are not empowered to satisfy the customer. The rest of the meal was no better. The mashed potatoes were institutional without even a hint of the promised garlic. Clearly they were made from potato flakes. On a positive note, the salad and wings Mom ordered were tasty. And the waiter was kind enough to answer truthfully when asked if the carrot cake was good. Overall, not a great dining experience. Perhaps I would recommend for drinks and appetizers, but definitely not for a meal. read more

Modern easy menu a bit heavy on the seafood side but does cater to non seafood eaters. Paying for the bill expect a 3% fee to use a card. Oysters salads meatloaf catfish and everything in between. Nice setup. Rolled silverware. Friendly and fast service. Sat down and about a minute later I had an ice water automatically brought to my table. Nice outdoor seating area. Hand sanitizer on each table. Good tasty food A bit pricey like $$$ I would say you would spend about 25- 50 per person on average not to include drinks. Server was great friendly and attentive without being over barring. So the reason I took away 1 star. The meatloaf and garlic mash was ok but not great. Meatloaf temp was not consistent for example there are a pieces one was hot the other was lukewarm. The potatoes were lazy mashed and cold to eat making it seem like they may have been sitting in a pan eating to be scooped onto a plate. A bit bland and not creamy at all.
