Waffle fries were very yummy and came with a side of cinnamon honey type butter. Mac and cheese fried ball appetizer was off the hook! Absolutely devoured these! Sweet tea was good. Booth seats comfortable. Service was very friendly, attentive, and clear communication. Music a tiny bit loud but we dealt with it. Food was simply nothing special. I had steak tacos that were so heavily covered in raw onion that onion was all you could taste, and shells were a bit stale. My husband's fried chicken sandwich was okay, but onion rings were greasy and underwhelming. Too pricey for mediocre food. I think these are normal symptoms since it was peak lunch hour, and what should have been a full house was a pretty small crowd. read more

My husband got the fried shrimp which were good and hot. I got the Napa chicken. Which I normally love. But it was cold. So much so the sauce was jelled. Veggies were hot. Not sure if the chicken and sauce were cooked first and waited for the rest, but as cold as it was, I suspect it sat longer than that. First time at this location, so maybe a bad day. I don't know. Inspired menu. Chef salad was hand cut, NOT some machine cut garden blend where everything is the same and every stem and rib is left in the salad. You taste the difference. If dining alone ensure you get the comp bread and pesto dip. Just ensure your bun is fully baked. It's dense if under done. When ordering ensure the person repeats your order. Servers are top notch. At 5 nothing tall my server one-armed fully loaded trays of entrees. When a wrong order (not of her fault) was sent back she kept me updated on progress of the property salad. The dining room clean orderly and in great condition. Here and there rags were on the counter, an empty box was on the floor, and and in a service hall one of those services cabinets are visible. They were eventually picked up. Waitress/bartender did not have much vested in serving a solo diner. When asking about a certain salad, the response was "what do you want to know?" No alternative yummy description of what was on the menu. At the end there was no offer of a cup of iced tea to go. I'd come back to try some of their other interesting menu items. read more

A friend and I had lunch here at The Bleu Monkey Grill in Little Rock. We sat in a big, comfortable booth by the windows. My Greek Salad was the best I've ever had! Fresh garden vegetables, olives, feta cheese and a perfect Greek dressing all contributed to this amazing salad. Can't wait to go get another one...maybe with grilled chicken. Food was good. However, service was horrible on Friday night 3-23-24 at 7 PM. I'm not sure if our server was high or not. He had an ear pod the entire night, at one point taking order he had the hand held order device and his cell phone side by side. He ran into a food carrier, knocked the tray into her neck and caused the food to spill everywhere, even on two people in our party, he semi blamed it on her. I really don't want to spend much more time writing a review. Seriously doubt we'll go back. Glad we were with a fun group of friends (6 of us) to help make light of the whole thing. read more

We were headed to a local fav, when I glanced over and saw The Bleu Monkey. Turned the whip around and decided to give it a try. AMAZING! Our server, Treyauna S. gave us great suggestions and was very attentive. When we come back, we will ask for her to be our server. We got two appetizers. Both absolutely delicious and very ample portions for two. The Mac & Cheese Balls came as five pieces with a sauce. The Avocado Rolls were two full rolls cut in a diagonal half for four mouthwatering rolls with a well-paired sauce. Oh! I'm forgetting about the pre-appetizer fresh baked bread. I believe it was sourdough and the oil and pesto dipping sauce went very well with it. We tried the Cosmic Crush celebrating the upcoming Eclipse. It was excellent! Our meals were the Four Cheese Pasta and the Bon Bon Chicken and Shrimp. WOW! We will be back for more Bleu Monkey! The ambiance was great too! Plenty of TVs to watch games and not very noisy. We sat across from each other and did not have to raise our voices to converse. Mostly 80s and 90s pop music played in the background. Try The Bleu Monkey Grill! Had dinner at the blue monkey, with my wife Friday night. Had no delay in getting a table Had a very pleasant waitress attend us. Ordered couple of drinks and was served quickly Had the chicken wrap appetizer. Food was fresh and quite filling. Our waitress did warn us that it was big. Wife had the portabella mushroom sandwich which she raved about all the way home I had the gumbo, nice big plate with lots of shrimp and other goodies. Had a creamy sauce which was slightly spicey again lots of food and delicious. To me a five star rating means the restaurant did everything it set out to achieve. And it did. Tried Bleu Monkey takeout for last time. I opened up my Yelp app to find Bleu Monkey so that I could order take out. I wanted three Bleu monkey burgers each with different add ons per the checklist on their app. To make a long story short, you check "add" for some add-ons and "no" for other add-ons, or "add all". When I checked "add" it deleted instead. I wanted tomato and onions and did not want pickles or "brown" lettuce. Same with the other two burgers plus one order of French fries was missing. I am headed home when I get a call from the "United States" that I suspect is spam/scam so I do not answer. I get home and immediately hear fries are missing and burgers are wrong. I am trying to look up their number when I noticed I have a voice mail and it turns out to be Julian at Bleu Monkey. I immediately called back and got passed on to voicemail. I waited ten minutes and called back. Finally got in touch with Julian. He wanted me to. Know they forgot to put the fries in the bag. I'm then busy trying to explained to him the missing vegetables. He said they are put "on the side" to keep the bun from getting wet. Yet they put the brown lettuce and pickles I did not order directly on the bun. I'm thinking brown lettuce and pickles are mostly water. Anyhow he agreed I could email him pictures to prove that they screwed up the burgers. I get off the phone and think "cold day in hell". You can't make this stuff up. In the interest of full disclosure, I did get three near perfect sit down meals after I read all the negative reviews on ND. After spending $60.00 for this major screw up, I will not be back. We were able to salvage the burgers (hamburger steak with queso) but still no fries. YMMV. read more

Staff were very friendly and I had half a dozen greet me and offer to help while I waited for my party. Atmosphere was open and relaxing with seating positioned in and out of view of the TVs and bar. The menu was wonderfully polycultural with a small tilt towards Hispanic. I shared with several colleagues and got a chance to try the bread with pesto, avocado rolls, Mac and cheese balls, orange chicken, nacho fries, Mac and cheese burger, pasta carbonara, and bread pudding. All of them were good; the avocado rolls and Mac and cheese burger were exceptional! The place also had an impressive drink selection which I wasn't able to try since I was driving. The shrimp tacos were amazing! I would order them again and again. I also had a pomegranate marg on the rocks which was great. My husband and I shared cheese dip and salsa, and he had the cheese steak/fries. The service was good, and we had enough time to enjoy our app before our food arrived, but we didn't have to wait too long for our entrees. We had no complaints about anything. We arrived about 6 on a Saturday and had no wait. By the time we left there were multiple parties waiting for tables. We will return to the Bleu Monkey! read more

If I could leave this restaurant 0 stars I would leave 0 . I walked into the restaurant with my family & upon arriving we were sat but nobody came . We waited 30 minutes & nobody took our drink order . No server ever came . Then a table of white people sat literally next to my family & immediately not even a minute passed & they were greeted & got their drink order taken . I have never felt such discrimination at any restaurant until this one . Do not come here if you are anything but white they will not get your order & they do not care about any other race . Jambalaya had good flavor, but more like soup vs a cream sauce. Would not order again. Wife had Fettuccine Alfredo and liked it. Service was satisfactory. A manager did visit the table.
