I called in a large cheese dip for pickup, without thinking to ask the price. When I got there I was shocked when my total was $15.38! For 12 oz cheese dip. That seems ridiculous high.

I'm in Little Rock for a couple of weeks and asked the ladies at a clinic I was working at, where they eat Mexican food. This is where they told me to go. It took me a bit to find it, it kind of sits back, in a strip mall type of building. I entered, and there was one other customer, and a couple of guys at the bar. I was immediately seated. No cute decorations here, only brown wooden tables, and wooden chairs, and booths. There's a t.v. also. I ordered iced tea, unsweetened (no one has messed that up yet, in Little Rock, this is a good thing), and a number 7, I think it is. 2 enchiladas, one taco, and Spanish rice. I was sure I asked for a chicken and a cheese enchilada, and beef taco. What I received were 2 chicken enchiladas, and one chicken taco. Starved, I didn't complain, besides the service was top notch. The enchilada is, as I believe, more "authentic" (that nasty little word that's taken very seriously in Kansas City). The shell is a steamed corn tortilla, with filling, and a yummy red sauce. Dumb me, I should've ordered something with guacamole. The enchiladas were perfectly spiced, but I was bored with chicken by then, oh well, I should've said something. Before my meal was bought to me, they bought out chips and sauce. The sauce is not too hot, and the chips, oh my goodness, the chips, were delicious. The taco (damn, chicken), was, well, chicken....and I don't particularly like chicken tacos. The rice was perfect, and with plenty left over, I was able to eat the left overs for dinner tonight in the hotel. I have driven around Little Rock ans saw other Mexican restaurants, and will also be checking them out this next week. It is really cool that I found this one. I'd be back, but there are so many other great places to try!

Classic AR Tex Mex with a great white queso and spicy salsa upon request, "Salsa Sergio". Many other great options but this cheese dip and salsa is why you come here. Regular salsa great consistency and taste too.

Got there a little early and our table was ready. Since it was a fixed menu, we only had a few options to choose from. First course I chose duck and pancetta, meatball, and my wife chose the Ahi Crudo. Ahi Crudo - flavors were good, just wish they would have gone with a sashimi cut over the thicker cut of tuna. It had a little chew to it. Duck and Pancetta meatball- probably the best seasoned bite of the evening, almost to the point of being too salty. The meatball was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Second course I chose the lobster bisque, and my wife chose the strawberry and beet salad. Lobster bisque - lobster meat was very tender, and you could taste the good salty water that they boiled it in. The base of the bisque was lacking a depth of flavor. I expected it to be more pronounced lobster flavor in the biscuit itself. It was good. It was just a different flavor than I was expecting. Strawberry / Beet salad - the salad was very good. I liked the cheese that they put on the salad. Luckily I was able to steal a few bites from my wife. Main course I ordered the New York strip, and my wife ordered the lobster risotto. New York Strip - when the steak hit the table, I was very excited. As you can see from the photos, it was cooked perfectly. From the first bite, I could tell the steak was tender, but there was zero flavor. I don't know if the steak was not seasoned at all, or if they were just playing on the drizzle over the top of the mushrooms in the steak to add flavor. But the overall plate was bland and flavor. I had to add table salt, which I almost never do. Lobster risotto- lobster risotto looked amazing. My first bite of risotto that I was able to steal was pretty bland. I tried another bite before my wife finished the entire plate! The second bite was much better had a lot of of the pepper flavor in the risotto. My wife said the lobster was tender and delicious. Dessert! I chose the Tres Leches and my wife chose the chocolate pot de creme. Tres Leches - this cake was probably the overall favorite thing of the evening. You could taste the vanilla and the cream. It was a match made in heaven. The frozen strawberries on top provided a good texture contrast. Chocolate pot de creme- this was an amazing dessert also. The depth of flavor in the chocolate cream was truly remarkable. You could taste the different chocolate. Rich and decadent for the last bite. We chose to add the wine pairing on with the mail. All the ones were pretty good. Nothing earth shattering, but all paired well with the meal. Service felt a little rushed, and I understand that valentines is a big day for the restaurant. We would not be halfway through a glass of wine when the next glass of wine for the next course would show up. It almost felt like our server was trying to push the pace of our dining experience. This review will ultimately get updated. Because I never judge a restaurant based on one experience. So we look forward to our next date night, where we can stop by and try the standard menu.

Definitely a good spot to bring a date. Drinks - loved my Alley Cat Mule. My wife's drink was a special Valentines offering. We don't usually do apps,I have heard the fries are great so maybe next time. Got the sausage pie with mushrooms. I'm no Dave Portnoy, but holee smokes this is good authentic pizza. Good crunch, delicious cheese and sausage. Sauce is good but overshadowed by the crust and toppings. Ah. Mazing. Service was good, food was prompt. Can't go wrong here. Will be back to try other options - I've read the burger is the best in the state. I would expect better placesettings at the price point. Plastic dishes, the mule cup - there's definitely better options. The silverware is okay. It's like midway between affordable and nice - pick a lane. So... my only complaint is the plates. Just go already.

We had a 2 or 3 glasses of wine ($5 each on happy hour, which is great) and a couple beers ($6 on hh) so it is not like we were drinking water and wasting her time. We ordered the Arugula salad for 2 ($13), which had cannellini beans on it. I loved the dressing, it was delicious & nicely dressed. However, several pieces of the arugula was brown and old or wilted. Size of the salad was perfect for 2. We shared the Sarah Meadows pie ($26). It was just ok. Our overall take was that the bartender could have made our experience a little more enjoyable, the pizzas are one size (huge) and expensive. I wish we could order a smaller pie since it is only 2 of us. We will not be going back.
