On our last night in Little Rock AR, our team went to Hill Station for dinner based on a recommendation from our project manager. Hill Station is basically a burger place with a great craft beer selection and a huge outdoor patio. Since it was a beautiful day outside, we all decided to sit out on the patio. It was packed on this particular night, but the ambiance was beautiful and gorgeous on this day and the patio was very nice. Our server took out order right away and made sure we all had water. I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries which was great and delicious. I had the local brewery craft beer, which I cannot remember the name, but it was good. This was a very nice burger joint in Little Rock AR , and I can see why the community loves this place. It is a great family oriented restaurant for kids to enjoy the outdoor patio. The service is wonderful, and it is a wonderful neighborhood to walk around and enjoy people watching while sitting on the patio. I would like to come back here to Hill Station if I am back in Little Rock AR. It is a great burger joint! read more

The prices were high for what you get.... just 4 Duck Wings and they were just good. The waitress was very good attentive and cheerful made the experience great. So at the end I enjoyed the place but didn't find it a destination spot. It's a great neighborhood place. It was a pricy picnic table setting. Wonderful place if you're craving patio dining. Located on Kavanaugh, the whole vibe around the restaurant is carefree and light. We've been a few times and I guess I've never written a review. They have TV's outside on the patios for watching games. So much seating. So many tables with umbrellas. The outdoor layout is carried out on a few levels, so you can sit up higher for a view. I've only eaten there a few times and wasn't impressed with the food the first times...however, I honestly think that was because it was during COVID and everything was served in styrofoam and had a very "concession stand" feel to it. But we visited last night and no styrofoam! We only had apps and drinks last night, but were very satisfied with our food and drinks. We shared the small charcuterie board and the tuna nachos. I should've looked up the Tuna Nachos here before we ordered because it wasn't what I expected. It's actually a small app, so I wouldn't expect to share it with the table. I don't do raw fish, but my boyfriend loved it. The "chips" are fried rice paper, so they're light and airy. The charcuterie board was really good and well executed. Anyway, great place for relaxation, people watching, socialization, and enjoying the weather. We'll keep coming back for sure. read more

I RARELY give out food reviews but I went here with my girlfriend for my birthday brunch and it was awful. I ordered the breakfast tacos and when they came out they weren't even lukewarm. Cold to the touch. My girlfriend ordered chicken tenders and fries and fries were obviously under the heat lamp for a WHILE. Chicken hasn't seen a grain of seasoning nor the batter. For small scale dining, this place's strengths are its large space (so you probably won't wait) and inside/outside dining and menu that is slightly more diverse than traditional American pub fare. It's weaknesses are the food taste, and the service , and overall running of an eatery. I've also been to a private affair here up in their elevated outdoor dining and it was lovely - we had regularly service, the food catered to vegetarians and meat eaters alike, with fresh and heavier options--all was good. But the small dining experience has been, unfortunately, rough when I've gone. The food is fine...some dishes have had something off (artichokes appetizer way too briny), but most are middle of the road (red pepper hummus, burgers). Again, there are some unexpected and lighter elements I like--eg, cold lentil salad as a side. The entire operation has struggled when I've been there for individual / "public" dining (as opposed to private) -- waited 15 minutes before a server visited the table (although actual interpersonal interaction always good), waited way longer after finishing a meal to get a check. One time, their ordering system was down and not only did they not have a Plan B for the computer system going down to put in orders, they just said "we aren't serving any food, we aren't going to try a paper and pen system, and we have no idea when you can order." Just very suboptimal functioning, putting everybody, including waitstaff in a difficult position. I think, overall, I won't be going back at this time. read more

Looking for a spot outdoors on a beautiful day? This is the right choice! Their outdoor space is big, brightly colored, and dog-friendly. It makes passing the time much easier. We really like their hamburgers and especially the fries! Cocktails are average but fun (I really like the spicy bloody mary). Downside has been their service. I'm giving them 4 stars because of everything else, but this is where they suffer. On the last 2 out of 3 trips we have gotten paired with a server who hasn't acknowledged us for a solid 15+ minutes. I try to be patient due to staffing shortages but at some point a quick hello isn't too much to ask. My tip: be fully ready to order everything at once. Also, use the Yelp Waitlist! I contacted Hill Station to inquire about their reservation process. I requested a brunch reservation to celebrate a milestone birthday. The staff member was unable to accommodate the first few ideal time slots but we were able to find availability on a different day. Specifically, I requested the tent area to accommodate different group needs. Four days prior to the event, I reached out to confirm but was informed that they would not honor the tent reservation for my group. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that they do not make reservations - but that they also had a conflict with a soccer group that had reserved the tent through the business owner, Dan. I did not understand the contradiction, or the cancellation without notice, and requested a call back from Dan. Dan's approach was aggressive, offensive and insulting and he stated that he 'highly doubts that his staff would have offered the tent' to me. In response to my taking offense to his insinuation that I was being dishonest or deceiving, he suggested that I must me mentally unstable and that he 'doesn't want my type' in his establishment. He is incredibly arrogant, unprofessional and disrespectful. Dan says that it is not the business policy to make reservations- except for the soccer group which has a standing reservation. Rather than addressing the reservation that had been confirmed by his staff, and subsequently cancelled without any communication to our group only four days prior to the event, he instead chose to resort to aggressive verbal abusive. I was caught off guard and stunned at Dan's inability to engage without resorting to the bullying behavior and his attack on my character despite having never met me. Most concerning was his cavalier suggestion that 'I must be mentally unstable' when I took offense to his suggestion that I was attempting to deceive him or was being anything but honest. I find it disgusting that this man finds anything appropriate with using mental health as a weapon or to gain an advantage. It was no longer about the table or the reservation but quickly became about how aggressive and nasty he allowed himself to become. His comfort level in using mental instability as a tool is nothing less than disgusting. read more

Holy cow is the food good here! We've been here a few times now. The steak frites are excellent, but the pork chop is transcendent. The sandwiches and fries are generous and sublime. I've reviewed this restaurant before and I'm back to share our latest experience. My husband and I like going here because it's in our neighborhood and the food is decent. We love the burgers and casual atmosphere. However, tonight the service was incredibly slow! I asked our waitress how much longer our food was going to be and she literally jumped down my throat! I didn't think I was rude to her, I simply asked how long! She became very defensive and angry! I've never experienced anything like this before at Hill Station. Yes, the service can be slow, but the staff is generally friendly. I don't recall the server's name but she was an older woman wearing a red skirt and Hill Station t-shirt. I'm leaving the description so that management is aware. I've worked in retail and her appropriate response would be to say, I'll check. I don't want anyone to lose their job, but maybe she needs to either find another job or remember that the customers help pay her salary and tips. My husband is a nice guy, so despite the terrible service she gave us, he still left her a tip. read more

I am giving this establishment 1/5 stars. I ordered at 2:11 via curbside pick up and was told the food would take 15 minutes. I ended up waiting approx 30 minutes just to be told that I needed to come to the bar and pick it up.... okay. Not a huge deal. Well I get to the bar and wait for the gentleman to show up with the food, he never shows. So I tell a woman I have a to-go order and she gets it for me and then takes my payment and comes back however she didn't give me my to-go drinks, I had to remind her. She was fairly rude and seemed annoyed when I asked for a receipt for the breakdown of everything I ordered (that I should've been given anyway). Which leads to my next issue: I ordered one 8oz burger and one 4oz burger. I was charged for two 8oz burgers yet given two 4oz burgers! So overall charged $8 extra for what I received. $12 for a 4oz burger is outrageous imo. It wouldn't have been a big deal if they had at least both been 8oz.... anyway after that whole issue I asked another lady at the bar if I could have a bag to carry both boxes + my drinks back to my car and she had an attitude about me asking for a bag. I feel like it was obvious I'd need a bag but they clearly didn't care. They food tastes pretty good.
