After trying to catch them open a couple of times previously, the stars finally aligned and I got to try Smashed & Stacked today. They are in the middle of transitioning from their food truck roots to a permanent brick-and-mortar location. While the space is still actively under construction, the hustle here is real. The fact that this small crew of friends is slinging fresh food takeout-style while simultaneously building out their future restaurant is impressive. I grabbed their lunch special, and coming in at just $11.06 after tax, it might just be the best value lunch in town. Finding a fresh burger, hand-cut fries, and a drink for $11 in today's economy is practically unheard of. From ordering to walkout took only about 20 minutes, which is remarkably quick given the setup and the dedication going into every order. Now for the food: The Original Burger (with Swiss substituted for cheddar): Absolute home run. The patty is infused with actual chunks of bacon, every bite was hot, juicy, and packed with flavor. Freshly cooked on the flat-top, it hit the mark on just about every level. The Fries: Near perfection. Seasoned generously with seasoned salt, you get a great mix of super crispy edges with just enough softer bites to keep the texture interesting. Even with drywall dust in the air and a temporary takeout-only setup, they did almost everything right. Smashed & Stacked easily earns a strong 4 stars today, and once this brick-and-mortar is fully finished and fired up, the rest of the hamburger scene in Little Rock better watch out. Skip the corporate chains and come support these guys! read more

Kinda salty, but good! Also very nice. I asked them to fix my fries and they did. Very heavy handed on the salt.

This is a good truck tucked in between some shops. I found it on Yelp while I was in town and looking for a place to grab some lunch. So glad I stopped here. The burger was super yummy! And the fries. I highly recommend! read more

Amazing service and even better food. BEST BURGERS around!!! Pricey but worth every Penny!!!

Super friendly people. This is a food truck. It is one of the best if not the best burger I have ever eaten. I got the original burger spicy. The sauce is perfect. Fries are small and crunchy with a good spice. Highly recommended. read more

Smashed N Stacked - Original spicy with fries - Burgers Near Me - Little Rock, Arkansas

We were visiting from Oklahoma and saw this on the map, we didn't realize it was a food truck at first but that ended up being perfect! The person at the window was very kind, we ordered the original smash and stack and asked for it to be split in half! The person at window gave us some extra fries which was amazing! When I tell you I've never had a burger this good I mean it. This is the BEST BURGER I've ever had! You really need to visit and enjoy the outdoor seating, it's a very beautiful little area! I'm very sad we don't live near this place as I would get this for dinner all the time! read more

Today was my first time to try Smashed N Stacked food truck. It's located in Pettaway Square right next to the coffee shop. There is outdoor seating and the vibe is open air. I had the Steakhouse Stack, fries, and a Diet Coke. It took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. The burger was super hot and the fries were tasty. I wish the burger had a bit more sauce. I'll be back to try their other burgers. read more

This was the first place I stopped on my day trip to Little Rock and I'm glad I stopped. A friend told me about the burgers so I had to experience this. The service was informative and nice. Food trucks that give a buzzer when your food is ready deserve all the flowers. I got the OG Smashed N Stacked. Seasoned, cheesy with a little spice from the sauce. Excellent. The patty had bacon smashed into it. Amazing. I'm definitely coming back. read more

Best burger in Little Rock. They work some kind of magic with the beef. Fries are great as well.

This food truck established in Pettaway Square is phenomenal. And it represents exactly what you'd hope: epic portions of tasty and stick-to-your-ribs burgers. We got their January monthly special (a jammy burger special) with fries, which was plenty to split between two modest-sized adults. And we had a cup of delicious coffee from Pettaway Coffee while we waited. Love this spot and space. Our cook/server was maybe having a low-energy day and wasn't super chatty, but we didn't need that -- his food spoke for itself read more

Food was awesome!! Burger great, fries great!! Definitely will be a repeat customer!!!!

We had a great experience here. This is a food truck serving up smash burgers and fries. Follow them on social media for the latest location. I was so impressed to see a food truck that offered a gluten free bun! As we travel, I always say this is such an easy option to have to serve those who are gluten free. We both ordered the original smashed n stacked that came with two patties, cheese and their signature sauce on gluten free. I opted for no cheese and added grilled onions and lettuce. Gluten free buns were kind of tough--would suggest warming them a little more for softness. Flavor was good. We really liked the shoe string fries. They actually found out they won best food truck while we were there. read more

Without a doubt, these are the best burgers I've ever had....and I'm pretty old. We ordered the original and it was unbelievable! I'm not a huge fan of French fries but theirs are delicious. read more

Absolutely delicious Had it twice in one week! Service was quick and simple to order

Yummmm-azing food!!! We got a special with gluten free bun, and peanut butter burger. The quantity was pretty good and we got fries with it so it was plenty for us. It tasted heavenly and I wish I would've tried it sooner. For a food truck, they're extremely busy but also organized which is rare. There's so seating space right in front of the truck which is nice. Will be coming back!! It's splurge for the amount spent but definitely worth it. read more

I can't say enough good about this place. If this isn't the best burger in the Rock, I don't know what is. Service is friendly, wait times usually aren't that bad unless they're really backed up. Pettaway Square is a really cool place with a great vibe, so if they are backed up it gives you time to explore. The ooey gooey and oh my cheesus are both amazing, creative burgers that I will get on occasion, but dang it's hard to stray from the spicy smashed and stacked burger! That's my go-to! It's just a great burger! Fries are fresh cut and always great. read more

Absolutely solid! This set up here in Pettaway square is vibrant and picturesque. It's like being in a different part of LR. Smashed n stacks burgers were pretty freaking delicious. We ordered the loaded fries, ooey gooey, and the classic burger. My personal favorite was the ooey gooey bc it's a unique burger and no one else does it like this. Peanut butter and jalapeño jam on a burger made the flavor profile pop. The classic is solid too. I mean it's a traditional burger with all the great fixings. It'd almost like a five guys burger is the best comparison but local and better. Highly recommend with a nice pint from Moody Brews. read more

Really great burgers!! Well-lighted food truck. Served really quick. Positive experience.

It was not good. None of it! Burger was nasty and the fries were overcooked. The service was quick...and the ambiance was nice, as it was a nice little nook of the food truck and 2 other businesses dropped in the middle of the hood. I will never eat there again, because to pay $20 for a nasty burger and fries is totally ridiculous. Glad me and my wife shared it. Even she said it was nasty. I consider myself a burger connoisseur...and this would not make it onto my top 1000 list! I always encourage people to try things out for themselves, obviously...but just be warned! Everyone else said it took a long time to cook. They were finished with ours in like 5 minutes...maybe that is why it was bad? read more
