My favorite place in Little Rock to get a well served burger. The variety of patty options is awesome, I am not vegan/vegetarian but the vegan patty is freaking delicious. Love the herbs & truffle fries, nothing I've tried here has disappointed me! read more

Ate here on Saturday around 5:45. Seated right away. Hostess could have used a smile but our waitress Deloris was very good and friendly. Burger was good. Thai salad not what it used to be. Steak was very tough last 2 times we have been here and under cooked. read more

I got a classic sandwhich. It just came with lettuce and the patty. Just dry. I then asked for ketchup. No ketchup?? This is the worst take out I've gotten read more

Upon arrival server told us they close the upstairs (best spot in the restaurant) from 2-4pm to clean so she sat us in the most boring part of the restaurant (the side). The food was decent and the server was nice. I would come back if I'm around here. I recommend opening up the whole restaurant though. read more

Stopped into The Big Orange and I've got to give credit where it's due; the bartender was incredibly friendly and gave the kind of hospitality that actually makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Service-wise, they were on point. Now for the food... whew. The turkey burger was easily one of the worst I've ever had, absolutely no seasoning, no flavor, just dry disappointment wearing a bun. The truffle fries were the bright spot of the night, crispy and actually tasty. But the southern fried chicken sandwich? Same story as the turkey burger. Bland, flat, desperate for even a pinch of seasoning to wake it up. If The Big Orange took the same pride in seasoning their food as they do in training their bartenders, this place would be a hit. Until then, the hospitality is great, the vibes are decent, but the kitchen seriously needs to turn the flavor up. read more

Overall 3.25 Stars As we were heading to Branson, we did a layover in Little Rock and were hankering for a burger. After reviewing several burger establishments, I picked Big Orange for their eclectic menu options. Ambiance - 3.5 stars We arrived 1 hr before closing and took about 5 minutes before we seated. The decor is modern with spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Even had a second floor for larger gatherings. There is central open bar with multiple chairs. When busy, I would suggest the outdoor seating area because it will get loud inside. Service 3.75 Stars Our server was pleasant and professional. She made some recommendations and we placed our order. Food: over 3.25 stars - all items are a la carte 1. 4 Stars - Umami bomb a mixed Half (veggies) & Half (Beef) Patty, Havarti Cheese, White American Cheese, Sautéed Mushrooms, Caramelized Onion, Thyme, Arugula, Butter Leaf Lettuce, and Garlic Mayo. This is must order item. The half n half patty was juicy and very flavorful. The melted cheese was a big compliment to the patty and the onions were slightly sweet. Great combination! 2. 2.75 stars Price- The waffle sweet potato fries w mango curry ketchup. This was not a hit due to the limp fries and the curry seasoning. It seems they gave us leftover fries from the basket. And the curry in the mango ketchup was a bit overpowering for the taste buds. 3. 2.75 Stars - Farmer's Burger* Havarti Cheese, Over Easy Farm Egg, Petit Jean Bacon, Butter Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and Garlic Mayo. Nothing special about the burger. The burger supposed to be medium - med well but the burger was well done. If you prefer a burger with neutral flavors, this would be burger for you. I prefer my burger to have a little bit more flavor so I added the curry mango ketchup to it. It tasted much better. 4. 3.25 Stars Truffle Garlic Herb fries. These were hot, fresh and crunchy. There was slight hint truffle oil but not overwhelming. I prefer these over the sweet potato fries Price: 2.75 stars - each menu item is a la' carte and the burgers prices are more expensive than other places. We spent $45 for two burgers and specialty fries, not including the one beer which was the least expensive thing our ticket. Would I recommend the place...maybe but there are other burger joints I would try when passing through Little Rock again. read more

Service was good. Burger was only ok. I believe they use a very lean ground beef which sacrifices flavor. I'd prefer a little more flavor in the beef. Maybe they could season the patty's some? read more

Great burgers and reasonable price. You can take out or eat there. I love them. I love the French fries good and hot

The Border Town Chop salad came out to $16.75 before tax with an incredibly small portion of fried chicken, which is the main part of the salad. It used to come with multiple full chicken tenders and now it's down to one single chicken tender chopped up into small bites. I hope they understand in this economy, this isn't going to win them any raving fans or returning patrons. Sadly, unless I get invited to go there I won't be back. Too little value, too high on price. read more

Alright I'm going to start with the good. The best fries I have ever had in my life were at a small resort in Fiji on its own island called Qamea. Big Orange has the closet fries to those! Absolutely phenomenal fries (I'm referencing the truffle ones with the garlic aioli)! Also, the service was great, they were fast despite being a little busy for a Wednesday evening, and they even helped me out with letting me borrow a phone charger. Now for the not great: I've been in Little Rock for 2 weeks now, and being that it is known as Burgertown USA, I've been trying my fair share of top rated burgers. Here I went with The Original and just wasn't impressed. I'd give it a 6/10. It lacked flavor and definitely didn't top my list of burgers in Little Rock. Same for the atmosphere. It seemed a little more mainstream than some of the other, more intimate places on the top rated list. Overall, great spot for fries and some drinks. I enjoyed my cookies and cream milkshake, but not Little Rock's best burger. read more

Food was pretty good for most of our group, but one burger was less than expected. When it was mentioned to the server (Grace H), she said it wasn't normal for the patty to be so small but it depended on the cook and how it was cooked. She then proceeded to ask if everything else was ok. We were also disappointed that the burgers no longer come with chips/fries/side and have to be added for an additional $5.50+. Overall, the experience was good, but wish we would've had better service. read more

Food was great. The atmosphere was laid back and sporty, fun and family friendly. You could tell the ingredients were sourced well as the quality of the food was great. The service was excellent. No bc complaints. This was our second time here and we will be back when in the area. read more

This place was so worth the stop. My family had their burgers and said they were amazing! I had the grilled turkey Thai salad with their house made dressing. The flavors were so good and worked well together. They had a bar there, too, with an array of cocktails and beers. Our waiter was amazing and took good care of us. We were sure about getting the milkshake, but our waiter suggested that we could split it. My family split a chocolate and strawberry milkshake. The chocolate was the best one IMO. The ambience was fun with lots of cool light fixtures along with modern touches like exposed ceiling and vintage vinyl record covers. Such a fun place for lunch with great food! read more

We have been going there for over 5 years. The food at this location is consistently delicious. I love their Half and Half patty. This patty is 1/2 angus and 1/2 vegetable patty. The patty is ground well that you cannot tell it is also veggie. It is delicious. Their fries are crisp and you can tell they were just fried and not sitting around waiting for an order. The fries are crisp and not greasy. Their servers are friendly and attentive (no matter how busy they are). read more

Utterly overpriced and boring. It's burgers. They are fine. Service is fine. Just not worth the hype or price.

I was unfortunately disappointed tonight (28JAN2024). Big Orange has an excellent range of menu selections and unique flavors. The staff are always friendly and their restaurants are normally well kept. Tonight, we waited for one hour and twenty minutes for three hamburgers and three fries. Our burgers did not come as ordered and we only received two fries. We were told that our order was lost. I'm not sure how that happens. (I used to wait tables at a 4 star private restaurant) The bathroom was gross and this has never been my experience before at Big Orange. Our wait was only ten minutes. They were busy but not too busy. I'm a little dismayed. read more

We stopped here on our way to Gatlinburg TN and I'm sure glad we did! Every part of the burgers I tried were amazing! The buns themselves are so good and light. Patties are full of flavor no matter which one you get and the toppings are house made it locally made for sure. I love all the different combos of flavor you can get here. In the middle of this restaurant is an eye stopping bar. Then you have the upstairs area looking down at the rest of the restaurant . Super cool! Come try them out! read more

Came here with my dad, we're both big burger connoisseurs and specifically burgers are really all he eats. I was excited to try this restaurant because as much as I love a simple cheeseburger every now and then I loveee to try different combinations. The service was pretty standard and to the point. I ordered the white truffle and pecorino burger and my dad ordered the Arkansas bacon and cheddar. We both thought our burgers were really good giving them about an 8. The fries were good as well and a necessary pairing. I also ordered the Lavendar haze cocktail and loved that they have a tasting option of their frozen house cocktail for $5 both were pretty solid. To finish off the meal my dad and I decided to try the milkshakes we got the vanilla and the coffee caramel. I can honestly say after having ice cream all week at multiple dairy bars and burger stands all over Arkansas, the milkshakes fell very flat for us and just really did not taste of any quality. Nonetheless, overall I enjoyed the experience and the food as well as the ambience and will be visiting again! read more

We always look forward to a road trip that takes us through Little Rock at meal time. Big Orange is an easy detour because we know the menu to be creative, the people friendly and the vibe to be cheery. We normally settle to the bar and no matter who is behind it it's as if we are regulars. This past Sunday was no exception. Not shown in the photo is my real recommendation, the PB & Dark Chocolate shake. Whew, I'm a vanilla guy but this selection was so good it was gone before I snapped a photo of it. I have been to the one off of Markham and the one off of Chenal. I like the bar better at Markham and the atmosphere better at chenal. The burgers I have had are great. Really big though so I have to use a fork and knife. They have some cool unique cocktails. Every time I go there it's really busy. If you want a gourmet burger this is a great place. Took my boy out for his Birthday Burger while we were in town for a convention. The ambiance was so fun! The lighting and bar set up definitely gives off hip vibes. Happy Hour here would be cool I think. Burgers were big, seasoned well and not overcooked. The bun was classic and toasted inside as it should be. Fries were crispy outside and soft inside. We had chocolate shakes for dessert and our amazing kind waiter Francisco, gave us one on the house, for my kiddo's special day. Will definitely be back when we come through town! read more

Excellent food, fast, friendly service! Much better in every way than the BO location @ the Promenade

Hot hot Chicken was exactly as described and the heat was worth it! 4/5 Fries were over cooked, nothing spectacular there. 2/5 Arkansas Bacon Burger was okay. Gluten free bun was a bit tough and the actual burger was a little more done than my version of medium. 3/5 lack of safe gluten free sides outside of veggies/salad was a bummer. Would we go back? Maybe... especially if we had less of a drive and could have enjoyed a boozy dessert. read more

My husband (50), myself (49), and our adult daughter (25) entered this restaurant around 8:30 p.m. for a nightcap. The bar was open and actively serving alcohol. The place was honestly quite empty as it was a Tuesday night past 8 pm. Upon arrival, the bartender was inattentive, engaged in conversation with another couple who had elementary-aged children seated at the bar. There was an abundance of seating elsewhere in the restaurant outside of the bar area for children. (honestly our children were in bed on a school night in elementary school on at 8:30 pm). After waiting to be acknowledged, my husband attempted to order a drink. The bartender refused service, stating that my husband had "sworn at the bar in front of children." No warning was given, and no attempt was made to redirect or address the situation professionally. Instead, service was simply denied. We found it unreasonable that the presence of young children seated at a bar late in the evening dictated service to adult patrons in an establishment that serves alcohol. If the restaurant has expectations regarding language or intends to limit adult behavior due to minors being present, that policy should be clearly stated and enforced consistently, not applied selectively after the fact. The situation was handled poorly and left us feeling unwelcome. We left immediately. Unfortunately, this experience reflects a lack of professionalism and poor judgment by staff, and we will not be returning. If you have kids that like to stay up late and hang out at a bar, this is the place for you. However if you are adults seeking a place to unwind after 8:30 pm, you will not be welcome unless you have recently washed your mouth out with soup. read more

Try the Thai chopped salad with a burger patty or fish on top. Relaxed comfortable atmosphere.

If the places is over half full, it's so loud you can't hear yourself think. You'll need to shout just to speak across a table. Additionally, charging extra for fries after paying upwards of $15 for a mediocre burger is criminal. It's just another desperately quirky, bad burger joint. read more

This is a go to spot for us when we are traveling through Little Rock. There is a shared parking lot in the plaza. We were seated quickly and even when they are busy the service is good and the food doesn't take long to appear. I love that they offer local Gluten Free Buns from Dempsey's Bakery and that there are vegan milkshakes. As someone with a dairy allergy, It is a rare find to enjoy a milkshake with coconut whip cream with my burger. There are several flavors to choose from. I tend to get the Plain Jane. I love the truffle fries and have tried all the different patty options, my favorite being the 1/2 and 1/2. My husband is a huge fan of the black bean and turkey options. There are options for fries and all the different sauces are good. If you have been wondering if you should try this place, just do it and you will leave happy and full. read more

5 star shakes! I got the cookies and cream milkshake and it is fantastic!! (Similar to a Jack in the box Oreo shake but tastes so much better and not like fake dairy). The very next night I made my family return just for some shakes to-go. I went with family and we were able to be accommodated in the patio area which is very nice even when it is cold out. We got a mix of burgers and salads and they are were all pretty great. I had a fried chicken sandwich and while the first half was pretty great (I loved the sauce and the flavor), about halfway through the chicken seemed pretty soggy/oily and unappealing. It is difficult to keep a sandwich such as this crunchy but I wish I had gotten a little further through the burger. This seemed like a bit of a frying issue. My husband got the half beef half vegetable burger patty and loved it! If you like mushrooms, this is a great option for you! The fries are pretty tasty and the salads were well rounded too! Our servers took great care of us and checked on us frequently. They handled our group well as some people arrived late and the servers were on top of everything. read more

Needed a quality burger after work today and found this place. I like how this burger joint is a local Arkansas restaurant. I tried the truffle burger and it was delicious! I requested it to be cooked to medium rare. I couldn't really taste the truffle in the burger because the jam was stronger. The buns were dry, but the sauces helped make them taste better. I also had a side of house fries that my waiter said were homemade. Those weren't bad either. Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking for a diverse menu with quality burgers (or shakes, but I haven't tried the shakes yet) read more

Eating out has been the go-to activity during my time in Little Rock so my group and I decided to try out this burger place that was recommended to us. Upon entrance, I noticed there were plenty of areas to sit including plenty of indoor, a bar, and a patio for seating too. The atmosphere seemed bright and lively which added to the experience. The menu had a wide array of burger combinations and also allowed you to create your own burger. I opted for the Arkansas Bacon & Cheddar which came out pretty quick. The burger was big and tasted delicious with all the fresh ingredients. I also opted for a side of the garlic fries which tasted amazing. For dessert, I got to try the Nuts for Nutella shake which was also incredibly delicious. All in all, I had a wonderful experience trying out this place. It seems to be a great restaurant for a quick social outing with some friends. The menu was also incredibly well made so I'm sure you will easily find something you will like. read more

We ate at the Midtown Location. Cool little place. The Umami Bomb was full of flavor, cooked just right and the sautéed mushrooms are a very good addition. My wife had The Reaper with the Carolina Reaper Pepper Sauce on the side, good move. It is very spicy. She put a little on the burger then we dipped our fries in the rest of it. A little will do ya. The strawberry shake was very good too. Not over-the-top sweet like a lot of shakes. Order your shake after you get your food if you want it for desert or, they will bring it right to you if you want it for an appetizer. We split the fries and it was enough for three. You can choose your patty here, angus, half and half (angus & veggie), turkey and veggie. The Umami Bomb comes half & half and I thought it was good. Over all - good food and a lively atmosphere. Just know going in the burgers are $9.00 - $14.50 but they are good. read more
