I don't say this lightly--it was an absolute delight and privilege to dine at Southern Tail Brewing. The atmosphere is great; the space was huge with indoor and outdoor seating, with a kind of vibe that is perfect for an evening out with friends. We made a last-minute reservation for a group of 22 (yikes!) at 6:30pm on a Thursday, and they happily accommodated us. We were seated in a private back room with plenty of space, and the décor was absolutely adorable (peep the photos!). I strategically sat next to friends who were willing to split appetizers, entrées, and dessert, which gave me the perfect opportunity to sample a few of their signature dishes. We started with the Beer Cheese & Pretzel and the Brussels & Bacon, and both were fantastic. The Brussels were the standout, wonderfully charred with a smoky flavor, while the maple bacon added just the right amount of sweetness to balance everything. For our entrées, we shared the STB Craft Burger and the Chicago Hot Dog. Choosing a favorite was nearly impossible, but the hot dog ultimately won me over. The toasted poppy seed bun was chef's kiss, and the combination of pickled vegetables and relish made every bite pop with flavor. But friends ... do yourself a favor and order the brownie à la mode (or, strategically place yourself between friends that like to share because we also got the honey vanilla sundae. ). I'm not being dramatic when I say it's the best brownie I've ever had. It wasn't dense, yet it wasn't cakey either--it existed in that beautiful, perfect, magical space between the two. Warm, rich, perfectly textured, and paired with ice cream... "otherworldly" is the only word that comes to mind. I'm only visiting from out of state, but I would gladly return to Little Rock just for another meal here. An incredible dining experience from start to finish.

After a 4th of July visit to the Clinton Presidential Library, we stopped in for lunch just before the deluge. We were warmly welcomed, served ice water and left to decide what to order. After selecting some beer for a tasting flight, we ordered a shrimp po boy and the Oklahoma Smash Burger both with fries. They were both excellent. We also enjoyed all of the beers we tasted: above ground pool, porch swing (love the apricot), gluten free pineapple (tasty), and Xolo Mexican lager. Also love the variety of places and spaces for sitting, sipping, and eating. If we lived locally, we'd be regulars here! Think this is my all time favorite brewery.

We walked to Southern Tail from our hotel. However, I saw some street parking and maybe another lot across the street. The interior has a lot of seating with a welcoming atmosphere! There is also a huge outdoor patio, some of it covered. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving my daughter a detailed explanation about where po'boys originated. We ordered two flights, and surprisingly we liked every beer. This is very rare for us! I also got to sample their frozen cherry sour beer, which was really good! As for food, all of it was great...pretzels, fish and chips, burgers, and more. This was one of the nicest breweries I've been to. Even if you don't drink beer, come here for the food and atmosphere!!!

Been here a few times and every time the food, beer, and service are excellent!! Like the building as well feels like your eating in someone's living room.

The FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! You could not go wrong with anything you order here. The pretzel dog was paired well with the cheese. It tasted fresh. I found that coffee onions were pretty interesting and glad I got the burger because it did not disappoint! Got a side of brussel sprouts and it was the perfect crisp! We also ordered beer, i got the smallest light crisp beer -- the perfect size and taste!

Didn't care for this place. They were blaring March Madness - was wayyy too loud and didn't match the vibe they were going for. Happy Hour food took over 20mins to come out, why soo long. Sat at the bar, but seemed you got plastic cups outside. Food items were overpriced. They even charge you to bring your own birthday cake. It seems this place is trying to be more upscale restaurant than brewery. Won't be back.

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening around 7. They were busy but we were greeted and seated right away. They had live music playing which was a bonus for us and we were given the option to sit wherever we liked. Channing (sp) was our waitress and she was delightful. She gave us several recommendations and also offed a couple of samples of beer to try since it was our first visit and we were unsure of what we might like. We had the Brussels with bacon, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, and 1/2 shrimp po boy. Everything was incredibly delicious, ample portions, and came out piping hot. Definitely a spot to put on your must visit if in the area. The beer was also very tasty. 5 star + experience for sure.

This place is dog friendly. I'm so excited to come back with my pup one day. The place was immaculate and gorgeous. The staff was great and the merch is adorable. We really enjoyed our food. The pretzel and beer cheese was good. My burger was well cooked. My daughter loved the beer can chicken. The banana pudding hit it out of the park.

Fruity & Fun Flight + 2

Girls lunch at Southern Tail was excellent! The atmosphere was both classy and cozy. We shared the fruity flight to help us choose which beer to order with our meal. I chose Sour Puss, one of the best sour cherry beers I've ever had. Others chose strawberry jalapeno margaritas; amazing as well! We started with the meat and cheese board and enjoyed it enough to research recipes! The shrimp and grits were super creamy and included enough for leftovers! Dessert hack: get the brownie with Loblolly ice cream... pair with the Porch Swing (apricot beer)! Most pleasant surprise!

Nice clean place. Beer, service and food was all good. We had the smash burgers. They were delicious. They have a really nice outdoor area with a big tv for sports. Yard area was big enough that they have yard games. A great place for a group of friends very attentive staff. I will definitely be back.

I come back to Little Rock periodically, and I always have to stop at my favorite breweries. Today, I noticed this new brewery had opened and had to give it a try! Initially, we were going to stop by to grab a growler and bounce, but when we saw the great outdoor area and smelled the food, we unpacked the kiddos and made it our dinner stop. The inside is more of an upscale brewery in terms of the decor. The outside has a huge TV and yard with several corn hole games. The patio is so nice with many heaters. (Thank GOSH because it was freezing this weekend!) We got the Brussel sprouts, pretzels and beet cheese, Chicago dog, pork belly sliders, and kids chicken tenders with Mac and cheese. All of the food was good, but my favorite were the pretzels. These pretzels were the donuts of pretzels! The wait staff was great. The owner came out and talked to us, and she was very sweet. I can't wait to come back here again on my next visit to Arkansas!

The food and beer here is very good but my favorite part of this place is the outside. It's very spacious with a big tv outside making it great for watching sports on a nice day. The inside is also nice and spacious. The appetizers are all very good and the service is typically great. I have been here for 2 group events in the past and I will say they struggled to keep up with the demand but that could've also been just the size of the group.

We made it!

Because of the great experience I had at lunch, I decided to take my wife there on Thursday night for dinner. Let me be clear: Dinner was a hit! I will start with the Atmosphere. I will be honest, the atmosphere is nice enough. The place is clean for sure. It is not as comfortable a place as some and is reminiscent of many restaurants I have been to. By that I mean, it is almost formulaic in it's set up. Nothing about it is unique or screams Arkansas or Little Rock to me. That is OK, I just want to be clear about the ambiance of the place. I still would give it a four out of five stars on ambiance. That said, it only gets better from here! For starters, we shared the fried green tomatoes with shrimp appetizer, and it was superb! As good as any you will find in NOLA and definitely the best in Arkansas. I highly recommend. For our main courses, my wife had the bacon wrapped filet and I had the rib-eye. We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. Not too much looking over our shoulder every two minutes, but always there when we needed her. Samantha's is lucky to have her on their team. Another strong five star rating regarding service. Can't wait to go back. I feel like they are hitting their stride at Samantha's!

I ordered a fried green tomatoes appetizer and Tom Yum grilled shrimp entree w/ a cucumber onion salad side. The app presentation was as expected garnished and dressed with roumalade. The finished quality was sub par. The tomatoes edges were good but the center was so thick it was crunchy, 4 slices $16. The entrées are solo yet there is an expectation of an elegant presentation. Nope...two undressed, ungarnished skewers of dry shrimp on a plate for $19. That's it, that's all. The best item of the meal was the marinated 2 ingredient "salad" which was... sweet & savory $12. Lastly, what ended up being a "concept" of key lime pie. Presentation glorious, a dinner sized plate decorated with swirls and a decent size helping of a sweet item. This was what looked like an inch of cake crumbs that were recycled by pressing into a form with a 1/4 inch thin layer of key lime custard over top. $9

They are in the middle of transitioning from their food truck roots to a permanent brick-and-mortar location. While the space is still actively under construction, the hustle here is real. The fact that this small crew of friends is slinging fresh food takeout-style while simultaneously building out their future restaurant is impressive. I grabbed their lunch special, and coming in at just $11.06 after tax, it might just be the best value lunch in town. Finding a fresh burger, hand-cut fries, and a drink for $11 in today's economy is practically unheard of. From ordering to walkout took only about 20 minutes, which is remarkably quick given the setup and the dedication going into every order. Now for the food: The Original Burger (with Swiss substituted for cheddar): Absolute home run. The patty is infused with actual chunks of bacon, every bite was hot, juicy, and packed with flavor. Freshly cooked on the flat-top, it hit the mark on just about every level. The Fries: Near perfection. Seasoned generously with seasoned salt, you get a great mix of super crispy edges with just enough softer bites to keep the texture interesting. Even with drywall dust in the air and a temporary takeout-only setup, they did almost everything right. Smashed & Stacked easily earns a strong 4 stars today, and once this brick-and-mortar is fully finished and fired up, the rest of the hamburger scene in Little Rock better watch out. Skip the corporate chains and come support these guys!

Kinda salty, but good! Also very nice. I asked them to fix my fries and they did. Very heavy handed…read moreon the salt.
