We've tried Bobby's a few times. It has a great breakfast and lunch. This is slowly becoming a family favorite for us. It's not a big place and almost has the vibe of being a dive but food is great. They are famous for their Bobby burger which is huge. We haven't tried it but our first time there the table next to us had ordered 4 or 5 of them. Monstrous!! Our go around on this trip was breakfast so we ventured to the biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage Pattie's and hashbrowns. Staff were incredible. Went on a Friday and boy were they busy. The fish must have been good. We aren't rich ppl. I had the country fried steak, partner had half Taco salad. I will Say Tony fried steak did not taste freezer burnt, but it certainly wasn't a home cook kind of thing. The half taco salad was all all chips and a tablespoon of taco Meat. I had read such good reviews so take Mine with a grain of salt. My favorite food is a country fried steak. I try to find a good one about twice a year. I'll keep looking. The unexpected theme of our cross country trip was 'mom and pop', small business, owner operated. Our server was the epitome of southern hospitality and kindness. The Bobby Burger is ridiculously big. I knew it was big; but it's a full pound burger with a salad on it and a half loaf of bread bun. Plus Bacon and cheese. The sandwich is so big it's hard to get all the toppings in one bite. You might have to add more condiments on the other side of the burger... they mayo is too far away! I probably won't order it again, there's no hope of wanting dessert or even the chips that come with it. Share it with someone. Especially, in light of the increase for the cost of eggs. NO, Bobby hasn't raised his prices. My favorite waitress is Debby. Found this out of the way diner because of the high Yelp reviews. Staff is friendly. However, our food was way too salty, and I'm southern and love well-seasoned food. What a great recommendation from my friend! Very casual mom & pop place! My son got the regular cheeseburger with onion rings and I got the regular cheeseburger with fries. The patties are for sure made to order! The burgers were awesome, the fries were my favorite type, the seasoned crispy outside and tender inside. Service was on the spot! The food is...fine. I honestly can't understand all the 5 star reviews. Service is good, the restaurant is well-positioned by the highway, and the hamburger meat is good (but not great). That's where it stops. I saw onion rings being poured out of a commercially packaged bag into a fryer. My chicken fried steak may have been fresh but tasted more like it came from a factory and was fried on site. The fries didn't taste homemade either. The "salad" consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheese. The homemade ranch dressing was of the same quality of store bought and lacked flavor. The catfish looked fresh, and we tried a piece, but it wasn't our thing. Overall, the food lacked flavor other than salt. The dinner rolls were clearly from a bag, not baked fresh. They weren't even warm. However, I recognize that everyone has different taste preferences. The locals around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. For that reason, I'm giving this place 4 stars. Just because it isn't my taste doesn't mean it wouldn't be yours. Service was friendly and quick, and there was nothing explicitly wrong with the food.
