Wow! Best fresh hot french fries ever! Each one was perfectly cooked to crispness. Had the BYO hot dog don't judge (pineapple, cream cheese, jalapeño and shredded cheese) the toppings were tasty but cut a little too big to enjoy with a bite of dog. That said the dog was delicious. Husband had a chili cheese onion and mustard dog and said the chili was great on it. My adult kids had burgers and they loved them as well. There was only one person taking orders and delivering food in both restaurants and drive thru but she was friendly, and quick. Service was good. The restaurant is decorated in an eclectic way with something to suit everyone's style or what was on clearance at Hobby Lobby from cocktails to paintings, to splatter art and Christmas decor. Well we decided to try a place we had never been before we saw this place called Franks a while back but thought it was part of the old Franks Cafeteria. IT IS NOT. This place is a gem! Located right beside Kroger, it's easy to find and easily accessible. We dined in, and the food was served fresh and fast. When we first arrived, there was only one other table occupied, but the rest filled up quickly! The restaurant and restrooms were clean. As far as the food goes, wow! I got a Nacho Mamma Dog with Fries. I added chili and nacho cheese to the fries, and you can tell the fries are hand cut and the chili is homemade and not out of a can. Everything was FABULOUS! Franks serves hot dogs, burgers, house made chili, and fries (at the time of this review), and they do those things fresh, well, without fanfare, and with speedy and fun/polite service. Could use a bit more balance on the menu with some lighter sides. My crew sampled two types of hot dogs and the Bodega burger (pictured)--all were served very hot and devoured! I loved the Kansas City Reuben dog - the sauerkraut was legit, small shreds, well fermented. The Bodega burger looked less appetizing ?the runny yellow cheese deterred us, BUT the person in our party who ate it said, "it was fabulous, way better than it looked. Interesting flavors, slightly spicy." I tried it and agree. The fries were a highlight! From fresh potatoes, so you get some with potato skin, and perfectly seasoned without being too salty. We drove thru, but I saw a few spots to sit inside. One issue with the physical locale is that there is a difficult parking and drive thru situation...I had one failed attempt to park in the small lot (which does have spots for people with wheelchairs or physical disabilities, so that's a plus), but otherwise, you just park in the Kroger lot. Then, when I pulled out after the drive thru, there was not enough room for me to turn right...I had to make a two point turn. So, tight spot for driving and completely worth the food and polite service. What would make this five stars for me is if they added some lighter vegetable or fruit sides, like a collard slaw or cold broccoli salad or baked beans or fresh fruit. The menu, although tasty, is pretty heavy, not something I can or desire to eat weekly. read more

Great owner! As a wannabe hot dog enthusiast and food connoisseur, I was curious to see how these hot dogs were going to be. Church's Chicken kind of put a bad feeling towards the building itself, but I was beyond surprised to the attention to detail and care for their hot dogs and delivery of goods. I had The Seattle and Chicago Dog, I am sad to say that The Seattle Dog looked so good and tasted so good that I completely forgot to take a picture of it. The pricing is great too compared to a lot of hot dog places I've tried all over the United States, I'd say give it a try! I'll be back to try everything else on the menu and bring my friends to see what they think of the place. One of the better classic diner-style burgers you'll find in the area. The trend of turning every burger into some gargantuan monstrosity is something I want no part of. I like a simple burger that's cooked well, and that's what you'll get here. Crispy edges and actual beef flavor. And for a very reasonable price. But the best thing about the place--aside from the staff--is the fries. The fries here are honestly some of the best, if not THE best, I've ever had in the state of Arkansas. Perfectly crispy with a soft center, not over-salted. If you're here at lunchtime, the dining area can be a bit hot, but I hope they'll install blinds or sunscreens soon to mitigate that issue. There are only about 3 tables in the place that are safe from direct midday sunlight. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back next time we are in the area. Have heard several good things about this place so when I was in town from Conway I stopped by and picked up a couple of dogs. Bacon Dog with just mustard and relish and it was fantastic, then the chili cheese dog with slaw. Was not a fan of the chili, I thought it was a good chili just not a good hot do chili more of a chili I would expect to eat out of a bowl than on a dog. The coleslaw looked interesting at first and I thought I might not be a fan but wow I was wrong I could eat that by the gallon. I have been wanting to try Franks for a while now and just got the opportunity yesterday. Drove thru and got a Double Cheeseburger and fries for $9.00. The service was wonderful and the food was fresh and piping hot. I woke up thinking about the fries. The double cheeseburger was also delicious and more than I could eat. I will try a hotdog next time and maybe double fries. Don't waste your time at the usual fast-food places when for the same price you can get a way better meal at Franks. read more
