We had never tried Samantha's steaks before and I hate to think what all we have been missing because our steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We shared a side of cheese grits and couldn't had a better meal! For our dessert, we shared a slice of their key lime pie, and again, it was wonderful. A strong five star rating for the food here at Samantha's for sure. As good as the food was, our server Taylor was about the best I have seen in Little Rock since the days of Ashley's at the Capitol hotel. Every dish we ordered that I just described was a recommendation from Taylor. I love it when someone knows their stuff and she was super knowledgeable, with just the right amount of tending to us. The chicken was moist and when we added the sauces, we lost our mind. The biscuits are amazing too, but with the honey butter they were divine. My mom ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich and ate the whole thing which she rarely ever does with any sandwich anymore so it must have been good! I ordered the small chicken nachos, thinking I'd get served a tiny plate of food, and the SMALL was so large, I ended up taking half home with me! This will be dinner as well as lunch, especially after I smoke some St Patrick's Day green. ;) The beer was decently priced too, because they basically have happy hour all day. The only drink that was full price was the draft cider, but I can forgive them for that since they say that all draft beers are half price and technically, cider isn't a beer. Waldo's has a choice of three types of service: drive through/pick up service which is perfect for people under 21 and tee-totalers; counter service where you can still order alcohol but you have to do all the work and pay as you go; and full service at the bar where someone else does the work for you for a tip like a regular restaurant. Best thing at the end of the meal was NO STICKER SHOCK!! I estimated $35 (pre-tax&tip), and the actual bill was $35.57 (with tax). I always think I'm lucky if I estimate within $2 of the actual bill, so I can't beat that!! I will definitely eat and drink here again, and I recommend it to everyone!
