If I could give this ZERO stars, I absolutely would. This food truck is new to my area and as a native New Orleanian, I was really excited to try out their seafood boil as there's not much in my town. Unfortunately, my experience was EXTREMELY subpar. There were only THREE menu items available and were extremely overpriced for the ingredients used as well as the quality and portion size. I only had $20 in cash on me, because by the way, they're mostly cash only, so the only thing I could order was the " hood noodles". That honestly should've been my red flag right there, but I wanted to support a local black business. Not only was the owner or the food truck manager, extremely RUDE and DISMISSIVE to concerns I had about my order accuracy (at the time of ordering), but the wait time was 25 minutes for some REHEATED Ramen noodles, jar Alfredo sauce, overcooked shrimp WITH the shell on, and OVERLY salted and seasoned food. I'm someone who loves flavor, but that plate was walking hypertension. Also, eggs were supposed to come with my order, and there was none in sight. The most edible thing on the plate was the sausage and that was after all the excess seasoning was washed off. I'm not one to trash small businesses, but even the presentation of the truck was underwhelming and concerning. Handwritten and torn up menu signs and NOT the cleanliest either. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this food truck, or the actual restaurant business in Little Rock to anyone. Even though the owner specializes in "hood meals ", I don't think quality has to suffer. My friend and I who came to try the business out, ended up throwing our entire plate away and wasted $20. read more

Absolutely disrespectful owners. They have a history of showing up late and then trash talking communities for not waiting hours for them to show up. If anybody says anything that isn't completely positive about them on Facebook they block them. Example they finally showed up at 2:30 and left town at 5 and then made several mocking and downright degrading posts about the town not having a line of people waiting for them. They are the ones that showed up in the slowest part of the day for food places (the times that a lot of restaurants literally shut down because of how slow it is) and then left early. On top of that they were an hour late. They blamed the city and said awful things about it not supporting businesses but the other food truck setup on the same lot (just at actual lunch time) sold out that day.This has happened multiple times and to multiple cities and people. They have made several posts about several cities like this and then deleted them later. My point is don't trust their Facebook reviews because they don't take constructive criticism, they block anybody that isn't 100% positive to keep their reviews falsely elevated. I make about 1 review every 5 years because I believe in second chances and differences of tastes but my experience with The Boil has left such a bad taste that I won't stay silent. read more

The crab boil was delicious! I really loved the sausage, and the crab was good too! It didn't have that nasty freezer burnt taste like some places have-like Joe's Crab Shack. I'm picky about my crab! The flavors were great!! read more

The Boil & manager Kaylon Daniel's gave extremely poor service when catering my daughters wedding at the Box Factory on 9/30/2023. They was late getting the food made, gave poor presentation, and very rude. The venue owner had to stop them from interrupting the ceremony because they was running in & out of the door very disrespectful. They did not even serve the bride and groom their dinners as promised. I also had to clean up their equipment because they failed to pick up after the event. I would not recommend this catering business to anyone. They did not full-fill their contract and provided false information that did not happen on day of event! I had great pleasure of trying the food at this food truck yesterday. They were located in NLR in the Rose City Area. When I pull up to the area where they located at there was quite a few cars parked n waiting on their food. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo pasta and OMG I was blown away by how good n spicy this dish was!!!! The Pasta was nice n warm and the chicken was tasty and tender and then there was sausage and crab meat in there as well and the broccoli was good!! The corn on the corn that was a side was so sweet n tasty!!! If I could give them a 10 Star rating I would!!! I will be back supporting you the next time I see your truck read more

definitely would not recommend them for catering a wedding or any event. I had them cater for my wedding spent $1500 on the food and for them to set up which I thought was a great price. They said they were gifting me and my husband a lobster meal, never ended up getting it. They were very unprofessional on timing and very unorganized throughout the whole process. Blamed me and my mom for everything did not take any blame for what she had done. I hope for the next person that decides to use them they have them write up a complete detailed contract and make sure it is everything you want. read more

The Boil, what a big joke... they hosted this Seafood Feast... and for $35 we got nothing... 1 of 3 apps, 1 of 3 pastas, and a 1 of 3 boils... it was advertised to have 9 dishes total... What cause we were in the far corner we got missed and before the boil was even served, we were told to leave... because of the fight that broke out between the restaurants/owners... So one of the Restaurants backed out (either @Scrumptiousbysya or @Southerngals), so they gave a dessert to make up for it... HHAHHAH it was 2 tables of School canned pudding with a cookie crumbled on it.. It looked like runny yellow poop on the plate... Not only was the food a joke, and total taste of crappiness.. The constant apologies, while the owner of the boil was crying on the phone or talking to the police.. Instead of getting her staff back in the kitchen to serve the people that were trying to support her, was a joke too. If you can't handle, than don't run a restaurant... cause you sure don't have the management skills to do so. They offered a $5 coupon for the problems that night.. it was not worth $5, We paid $35 each and got $3 worth of food.. that is highway robbery... are you kidding me?? I have contacted both Eventbrite and My Credit Card Company for a refund for not receiving goods as advertised..Which I believe is a considered false advertising and is a criminal offense... you need to give every one their money back!!!! read more

I just stopped in after work today to get a couple of boils for my mom and me and tacos for my grandson. I discovered I didn't have change for the parking meter, so I ran in to get change so I wouldn't get a ticket while waiting for my food. I told the young lady at the counter this, yet she made little eye contact with me and said we don't have change. I paused, ask again because she was walking towards the kitchen when she said this, and I wanted to make sure I heard her correctly. She repeated herself in a non charismatic way, I said okay and left. I've been following and a customer of the boil since the small little house like truck in NLR, but today put some serious pause in my patroniz. Though the food amazing and the owners appear caring, after driving through crazy traffic, circling the place twice, then lucking up to get a parking space in the front to receive this cold treatment, no thanks! We really wanted those boils but I saved myself $109.16 today. That was too much! This is not about the food, it's the customer service for me. read more
