This place operates like a family. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are strong so you get your money's worth and the service is top notch! Big screen TVs on every wall, pool tables and darts. Where else can you play Jenga or Connect4 on an oversized wooden board or Golden Tee?! Outside the patio offers a relaxing spot with a big screen TV and plenty of tables to chill at. There's even a gold fish pond back there! Grumpy's offers a place to be yourself, relax and chill or turn up with your friends but no matter the occasion, at Grumpy's everyone is welcome!

Such a great local dive bar. First time and I'll definitely come back to hang and kick it when I'm back in town. If you're looking to hanging, eating, and drinking like a local this is the place. Service is great and our bartender was very friendly, attentive and super sweet!

Awesome food! Chicken was juicy and tender and sweet potato fries were perfect! Our server Bri was super fun and gave us an extra side of pickles when we asked for them with our drinks and shared some kiwi with us! Locals were super friendly and gave us tips of things to check out in the area. Fun environment with unique items throughout like a Leg lamp and red mouth/lips urinals to keep you entertained. Smoking is permitted inside keeping the experience within. Highly recommend!

Haven't been here in years but still a great spot to unwind and grab a drink and a great burger after working a bit late. I need to try some other great looking items on the menu but the burger fits my craving perfectly. Good service and straight forward billiards and bar experience.

    Grumpy Burger.

Smell of CIGARETTE SMOKE is overwhelming. Ordered the grumpy burger. They didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. They came back med well and over seasoned with very salty seasoning (too salty). Other than that nice place.

    The burger...GET THE BURGER

Nice local bar, pretty good service. The indoor smoking is a minus. But YALL lemme tell you abt this burger!!! When I tell you this is the BEST burger I've ever had...I dreamed about it later. It's perfect and I hope it never changes. I got halfway through it before I decided the people needed a picture of this beauty. Get the burger...GET.THE.BURGER

Per the yelp review, we came. Food is grand, drinks great, prices fair, nice people. And Rachel was wonderful.

    Chicken club. Huge and delicious.

Let me tell you this first: I didn't have high expectations going into this place. Dive bar with smoking. Dingy front inside a forgettable stripmall off the main roads. But WOW did this place blow those preconceptions out of the water. Once inside, the ambiance is actually pretty decent. Music isn't too loud. Decor is pretty typical sports bar, but everything looks clean and pretty well maintained. I ordered the cheeseburger while my cohorts ordered the chicken clubs. It's Restaurant Week, too, so the sandwiches plus a beer are only $6.99. Super steal at any quality, right? Damn these sandwiches and burgers are good! Seriously, the chicken club is absolutely massive, filled with meat and bacon and awesomeness. Portion-wise it's a great deal even at the normal price of $9. The cheeseburger was similarly big and very tasty. See my pictures and I'll say no more. Service was also very attentive and friendly. I think this place would be a great neighborhood hangout and drink/eat establishment. My one criticism is that my clothes smell like cigarettes after our visit, but I think the food might just be worth it!

I was new to the area and trying out the different bars to find my new local hangout. When I first went to Grumpy's it showed good promise. I wasn't crazy about the smoking, but I got over that. It is a bar. The food was hit or miss. The ruben was one of the best I've had in a while. The chicken nachos were not good at all. The famous Watsoni was just avg cheese dip. The Fried Green Olives were pretty good. The panko crust was good and not over cooked The juke box was on and the atmosphere seemed good. They have a pool table and some dart boards. The bath room was pretty clean. The decor seemed dated and from the 80's. One thing I noticed and didn't like my first visit was they don't give you a receipt. They would just say you owe this much. I went with it because the price sounded about right. I went about 5 times and each time the amount was about the same $20 - $25. Then one night I only had around 4 beers and didn't eat. The bartender/manager yells out I owed $32. That didn't sound right, so I asked how many I had. He said 7. I wasn't going to argue with him since I had no way to really prove what I had. I just wrote on my charge receipt to stop over charging or something like that. Honestly, I never thought I would go back. I decided to try again and maybe just pay cash per drink or ask after each one how many I had. I sat at a table and a waitress helped me. She was really good and fast. After my first beer, the bartender/manager came to my table with my charge receipt I left the last time. He confronted me about it and was aggressive with asking why I would say that. I just felt I didn't have that many but nothing I could do about it since they don't give a break down of what you have. So he again said I had 7 beers, but he did admit I wasn't the first person to question him on orders. When the waitress came back I asked her how much the beers were and if that was the regular price each day. She told me it was $3.50 and that was the normal price. So, 7 beers x $3.50 equals $24.50. I was a little upset now because even with his math of 7 beers he over charged me (I still think I only had 4). After tabbing out with her and giving her a tip and I asked her if I could speak with him or the owner. A few min later instead of coming around the bar like he did before, he yells as he is walking towards me saying what do I want now. I explained the math to him and he couldn't give me an answer on why is was $7.5 more than 7 beers. He just said it had to be taxes. Really? He then went on to say he is always right and the customer is always wrong. It's called Grumpy's for a reason. We got into it a bit, but again I knew I couldn't prove anything so it just wasn't worth my time. I will take my money and tips else where. This same bartender ( I think his name is Joshua), I watch him throw out multiple people over just a few weeks. I think he is running some kind of scam there. I have reported him to the local police for fraud. If you do go there, I would recommend you don't just assume you will be charged correctly. Pay out after each order, so you don't get screwed. I recommend JJ's, Markham Street Grill & Pub or Khalil's Pub & Grill over in this area. Way better customer service at these places.

This is the Monday night football chicken wing spot. My friends and I go here on monday's to watch football and eat chicken wings. Their wings are insanely good. And on monday's they are 50 cent. My friends like the heat so they always order the ghost pepper sauced wings. I'm here to tell you don't do it. They have other great flavors like slap yo momma, jerk, and just regular. They also have a beer bucket special. The only drawback for me is that its a smoking bar. Other than that I have been frequenting grumpys for years and I will continue to go there.

My wife on the other hand has eaten here once or twice…read more So when I saw their valentines menu come out, I jumped at the chance to grab a reservation. Got there a little early and our table was ready. Since it was a fixed menu, we only had a few options to choose from. First course I chose duck and pancetta, meatball, and my wife chose the Ahi Crudo. Ahi Crudo - flavors were good, just wish they would have gone with a sashimi cut over the thicker cut of tuna. It had a little chew to it. Duck and Pancetta meatball- probably the best seasoned bite of the evening, almost to the point of being too salty. The meatball was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Second course I chose the lobster bisque, and my wife chose the strawberry and beet salad. Lobster bisque - lobster meat was very tender, and you could taste the good salty water that they boiled it in. The base of the bisque was lacking a depth of flavor. I expected it to be more pronounced lobster flavor in the biscuit itself. It was good. It was just a different flavor than I was expecting. Strawberry / Beet salad - the salad was very good. I liked the cheese that they put on the salad. Luckily I was able to steal a few bites from my wife. Main course I ordered the New York strip, and my wife ordered the lobster risotto. New York Strip - when the steak hit the table, I was very excited. As you can see from the photos, it was cooked perfectly. From the first bite, I could tell the steak was tender, but there was zero flavor. I don't know if the steak was not seasoned at all, or if they were just playing on the drizzle over the top of the mushrooms in the steak to add flavor. But the overall plate was bland and flavor. I had to add table salt, which I almost never do. Lobster risotto- lobster risotto looked amazing. My first bite of risotto that I was able to steal was pretty bland. I tried another bite before my wife finished the entire plate! The second bite was much better had a lot of of the pepper flavor in the risotto. My wife said the lobster was tender and delicious. Dessert! I chose the Tres Leches and my wife chose the chocolate pot de creme. Tres Leches - this cake was probably the overall favorite thing of the evening. You could taste the vanilla and the cream. It was a match made in heaven. The frozen strawberries on top provided a good texture contrast. Chocolate pot de creme- this was an amazing dessert also. The depth of flavor in the chocolate cream was truly remarkable. You could taste the different chocolate. Rich and decadent for the last bite. We chose to add the wine pairing on with the mail. All the ones were pretty good. Nothing earth shattering, but all paired well with the meal. Service felt a little rushed, and I understand that valentines is a big day for the restaurant. We would not be halfway through a glass of wine when the next glass of wine for the next course would show up. It almost felt like our server was trying to push the pace of our dining experience. This review will ultimately get updated. Because I never judge a restaurant based on one experience. So we look forward to our next date night, where we can stop by and try the standard menu.
