Our in-ground plaster pool in Bucks County, PA was completely redone by Blue Haven in 2023, and the project was plagued with problems from start to finish. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end when the work was completed. Now, just a few years later, the plaster looks terrible. We've had two independent pool companies inspect it this year, and both commented on the poor quality of the workmanship. They were genuinely surprised by how badly the plaster was done. We've repeatedly contacted Blue Haven to ask for help resolving the issue, but they have consistently refused to stand behind their work or offer any meaningful assistance. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Blue Haven. If you're considering having your pool resurfaced or renovated, I strongly encourage you to do your research and consider other companies. read more

Our pool is 7 years old. we've had to replace everything except the hole they dug. We replaced the pool deck and coping because it was popping off the pool. this year we have to have the pool replastered because it is badly peeling. 7 years! Their recommended equipment, Hayward, is crap. even the pool vac had to be replaced. Even the fence company they brought in was awful. all the posts at the gates are split and falling apart. 7 years! we use Frogs renovations now and they're great. Quality Pool Care is very good so use them for maintenance but don't go near Blue Haven by Calvitti. read more

Blue Haven installed my gunite pool 8 years ago. It took two summers to complete. They told me there was a 10 year warranty. 3 years in it started leaking, tiles started falling off, pool settled and started cracking. By year 7, I couldn't even keep water in the pool. I had the hose running 10-12 hours a day and every morning skimmers would be sucking air. I asked them to come look at pool and they made me pay $1000.00 up front (check or cash only-no credit card) to come look at pool. Since they installed it I went ahead and sent them a check. I assumed they were trying to get some money towards the warranty work , which I didn't like but assumed warranty process would be quicker if I paid them. 3 weeks later after numerous phone calls, a guy came out just long enough to make EVERY excuse in the book as to why it wasn't there fault and NOTHING was covered! All they did was, in my opinion, steal a thousand dollars from me, then with a smile on there face, told me to go get bent! The guy was there less than 20 minutes... for a thousand dollars! Our pool was installed by Blue Haven Pools in 2003. We needed to have the pool replastered in 2018, which was very reasonable. This year (2021) the plaster started to chip and my pool service company advised that the plaster was a 1/3 of the thickness that is industry standard. I contacted Blue Haven Pools by Calvitti who plastered the pool in 2018. I have called and emailed no less than 20 times since July 2021 with little to no response. I was originally told - plaster lasts anywhere from 3 to 15 years. Seriously? My 1st plaster lasted 15 and this one is 3 - how coincidental! I have had my pool for 16 years and can't complain about the initial install or how it has performed throughout the years. However if you ever have anything that needs to be replaced under warranty be prepared for a headache and being passed from one person to the next. My cartridge tank was under lifetime warranty and cracked apart -- it took over 2 months and many emails to finally receive a replacement. Then another month of trying to line up a plumber and parts and prices and finally I gave up because I could not get a clear understanding of cost and they wanted cash upon install. So I researched it online, bought and installed the parts, and routed the PVC lines to hook up! My only thanks to Blue Haven is that I saved me a bunch of money and I learned a new trick doing it myself! The swim season is shot and it's time to close the pool -- thanks Blue Haven -- guess who isn't getting the renovation job that my pool needs? And guess who my neighbor is not going to use to build their pool now that I've told my story? What a simple problem to have resolved -- I'm glad I did not have something major! read more

This company was a nightmare to work with. This is my second pool renovation and I will not advice anyone to hire them. Read their review on Google, I should have done before hiring them. When the rep came he promised a lot but they under delivered. The construction manager is condescending, doesn't listen to his customers and his a mister know it all. He doesn't answer his call, doesn't reply to emails. It took them a month and half to change the tiles, install a heater, a salt system and to replaster the pool. They would show up once in a while sometimes not for days. They hire a bunch of subcontractors to do the work, the construction manager doesn't even come to check how the work is progressing. Once the contract is signed the rep doesn't even contact you even if you complained or asked for information. Read the fine print in their contract and do not accept their payment schedule as I made the mistake on trusting the smooth talking rep. A few days before plastering they sent me some instructions and let me to fend for myself to find a water hauler during a holiday weekend. They put the salt system but never gave me instructions how to run it, or where they will place it. They did a horrible job with the plumbing and didn't consult with me. Half of the pool is working, and they don't test anything. I have complained to them, spoke to them during the entire ordeal but they never reach out to us, walk us through the process and discussed it with us. Stay away from them. read more

In my opinion, you should absolutely NEVER hire Blue Haven Pools & Spas, as this company should not be trusted.  We hired Blue Haven to resurface our pool.  The unprofessionalism of this company became clear immediately upon paying the initial deposit for the project. Promises on start dates went unkept and there were numerous delays in beginning and completing the work. The worst aspect of Blue Haven was that when I asked about anything, they were a bunch of jerks.  I was yelled at multiple times. For asking a question about our contract, I was threatened that the company would keep my money and I would have to sue them to move the project forward.  My wife was also treated disrespectfully.  When the demolition began and the crew accidentally (I believe) broke the wrong part of the pool, they tried to charge me to fix / replace their mistake.  Just absurd!  The final insult was that on the day of the final work to complete the resurfacing, we were threatened that the crew would walk off the job if they did not receive the final payment, by bank check or cash, before the work started that morning.  At that time, we had already paid almost 90% of the full cost.  This threat was made to us even though our contract stated that final payment would be made by personal check upon completion of the project.  The subcontractor crew would not even start the work and we were threatened that the entire job would go unfinished, unless we presented a bank check, and that if we did not provide the check before 9:30am, they would walk.  As it was already mid-summer during COVID (again, late in the season due to Blue Haven's delays), completing the pool resurfacing for our family was more important, and so we decided to pay rather than go without a usable pool for the entire summer.  We did not hear one word from anyone at the company after that final day of resurfacing -- not about anything.  Save your money and avoid spending a lot of money to be mistreated at almost every step.  NEVER USE Blue Haven Pools & Spas. read more
