Derek measured up my window last week and successfully replaced the pane in the upper sash today. He was very accommodating knowing my moving schedule. The price was excellent. They ran the gauntlet for us with State Farm, as approval is a huge pain, then did the installation perfectly both times -- exactly like it came from the factory. They also explained installation and manufacturing details, obviously taking great pride in what they do. Safelite is handier, but if you prize having the job done just right, go here. No greenhorns -- the guys I talked to in and out of the shop to seem to have worked most of their lives at Alderfer, and it shows.

When I called them I was happy to pick up my screens x 12 at $100.00 a piece. Once home we immediately tried to insert our new screens and the size was wrong. I understand mistakes happen. What was Frustrating was there was no mention of 'we are sorry for any inconvenience. Instead, I was asked multiple questions that found myself needing to remind them this was their error. Then I was told I needed to bring the screens back. I had to call back again to request they do not cash my final payment check. So I loaded the screens in my car and 3rd trip back to the store to make a return. No surprise, again there was no apology for the inconvience. Please note I am not asking for an apology for the mistake - WE ALL MAKE THEM. There was no offer to maybe take a few bucks off due to the added burden of multiple calls and trips to thier store. No offer for possible delivering the screens to my home as an added gesture for a mistake made on their end. Nothing. This is simply gross. I wonder if it was my husband returning the screens an apology would have been offered. So much for doing business with a community business. I'm disgusted over this company's ignorance and speaks to much of why people feel angered by ignorance and greed In today's times. I write this to help the next customer - and maybe for Alderfer Glass to consider adding a reminder to employees on customer service. Not one person there uttered the words we are sorry . Very disappointed in Tom Adams. Their salesman was not knowledgeable and sold us the wrong…read moreproducts. He acted like he knew what he was talking about. We asked a lot of questions and really thought we were getting a good product. We were promised our flooring would be durable and a hard grade floor. The flooring they sold was horrible from day one. It fell apart shortly after we got it. They blamed it on wear and on my dogs. They even sent an inspector to the house. The inspector blamed my dogs and wear over time. The floor fell apart in the first 6 months. We didn't even have our dogs then, and it fell apart in areas we didn't walk on! Plus, it was their inspector which we felt was totally in favor of Tom Adams and biased. The report came back that my dogs and wear were the cause of this. Totally preposterous! We must have replace hundreds of planks over the years. It couldn't be wear, especially since the planks weren't the same as the ones that were originally installed. We were told it was going to be a very durable wood floor, good for dogs, foot traffic, etc, and not soft grade. We got the total opposite! We can't resurface them or stain them, they would totally fall apart. Tom Adams kept replacing planks and the same thing continued to happen. Tom Adams would not take responsibility or would the manufacturer. They stopped using the manufacturer knowing these problems with Chesapeake flooring. We just kept getting the run around. The warranty meant nothing, because no one would make good on it or take responsibility. We even showed Tom Adams the bad reviews regarding the company's floors. The reviews stated that the same thing was happening to others. They had knowledge that these were horrible wood floors. We would have been better off with LVP or manufactured wood. The flooring that was in our house originally was there for 25 years with out a scratch and had plenty of wear. They were just older and thinner and we wanted a thicker plank that was more modern. Had we known what we were getting or dealing with we never would have gotten new flooring. After all the calling and replacing 70 or more planks every 6 months, Tom Adams still would not replace the floor that cost thousands of dollars. To the consumer, research floors before you buy and make sure that you use a company that is knowledgeable and that the salesman they hire know all about the flooring they are selling. Read reviews on the floors and carpets. We're so disappointed with our experience with Tom Adams. We now have floors that Tom Adams will not make good on, and are falling apart. They said, we could replace them at cost. Seriously! We paid thousands of dollars and shouldn't have to replace them in 8 years. Not to mention this has been on going since 6 months after they were installed.They look horrible and we're stuck with splintering wood floors with filler that comes out. Not the quality we paid for at all! Do your research and use another company. We would advise everyone to not use Tom Adams in the future.

I got his name and number from my vet actually so I had to cancel the appointment because water was pouring out of my ceiling which I thought was a roofing issue from my porch. It turned out that it was a heating pipe that split. My daughter told me that the floor upstairs was soaked. I ran upstairs I pulled up the carpet and it was scolding to the touch. There was a lot of steam coming off the floor. I ended up calling the fire company going way over the extreme, but by that point I had already called Dale Rimmer. He ended up getting here as fire company was leaving ( which was 20 minutes ) He did explain on the phone that it was probably just steam coming off the floor. He remained with me at the house until I had somebody able to come out and fix the pipe( the fire company turned off my boiler as it was pouring water into my house). I'm also leaving a review for my Fire company. I've never needed them in all my years living here, but they were downright amazing and the same thing with the police downright amazing. I cannot be thankful enough for my community and the fact that Dale was the voice a reason and calmness in my crazy day.!!!

Dale was involved during the entire process and the stone mason and carpenter he brought in were great. The porch and stone work turned out better than we expected. We also had a new flagstone walkway installed and our deck refurbished. The new siding, gutters and downspouts completed the makeover of our home's exterior. Dale was personally involved and was quick to answer and questions or concerns we had. All of the people took pride in their work and the results show it.
