Hungry for Thai food and wanting to try out a new spot we have this place a chance and don't regret it one bit. The of Thai is reasonably priced. $16 for all 4 protein choices (pork, beef, shrimp and chicken) the portion is good enough even for 3, my husband my son (who's 3) and I all ate and were very much satisfied with the flavor and texture. We also ordered Tom Kha soup which was also very tasty. It had plenty lemongrass but not an overwhelming amount and a decent amount of shrimps. Next up was the super dragon sushi roll; trust me it lives up to its name, ten huge pieces of sushi goodness... if you don't care if the crunch on top is soggy like I did LOL. Overall very flavorful and the fish tasted fresh. We were so full at this point that we didn't get to try the tuna tartare we ordered but will eat it for lunch today since it looked amazing and it's one of their most popular dishes. The reason they get four stars is because they take a very long time to get the order to you. I called an hour and a half after ordering and they told me the food was ready and that the app was looking for a driver which wasn't true. At the two hour mark a driver was there and I checked in with him but he said he was waiting for the food to be ready. We almost cancelled and we are glad we didn't but they could definitely work on their customer service side. It's still not anything that will keep me away from this place. This place is for people who like to eat good food and really don't care if the place is hip or not just as long as it's clean and the service is amazing. The food is super fresh, absolutely delicious and flavorful. I ordered the tuna tartar and the diamond roll. No need whats so ever of soy sauce. The tuna was fresh and avocado as well. You cant really go wrong with a diamond roll but I did notice that the shrimp had just been cooked which was nice. My husband on the other hand ordered shrimp pad Thai. When it got to our table it was steaming hot. Soooooo good. Like I already said if you want to eat good food don't let appearances blind you. Yes it's a hole in the wall with 4 tables and less than 20 chairs but honestly I don't really care. Remember most of these places mostly do take out. It looks like a tiny little mom and pop owned place almost like a take out spot of how small it is but there are tables you can dine in at. There's lots of options when it comes to sushi and many options when it comes to Thai food including curry! Based on scoping out people's reviews I trusted that this fish was fresh and it did not disappoint. The tuna tartare was sooo incredibly good and fresh, it was delicious. My friend and I were shocked to see they had papya salad on their menu, which was a plate we had tried in Thailand and loved so we ordered this but the one here was quite different than we remembered so we actually asked them to take it back and they did so without any problem at all and asked what we wanted to switch it for . That is what I call great customer service. We also ordered the Golden dragon roll, omg this was literally PERFECTION served on top of perfectly prepared sushi rice. It had Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, crab salad top with mango, trust me its worth the $17. I can totally see this becoming my go-to spot for sushi just for this roll. I ordered the California roll to play it safe, and my good judge of a Thai restaurant is how they make their Tom Yum and Tum Kha. Both were on the border of authentic and nice restaurant quality. The only thing I wish, and no restaurants do it anymore, is using shiitake mushrooms in the soup. I know it's pricier but I'll pay extra if it's an option. It makes the soup complete. I grew up with a Thai family, where I had authentic Thai almost daily. I never had pad Thai with them but Tom yum was a regular staple and larb. This restaurant is very close so I feel safe ordering more authentic dishes to try. My bf and I are relieved because the other thai spot we tried locally made us feel heavy and gross because it was made with heavy toxic ingredients that just isn't worth the bloat and "hangover".
