This has perfectly seasoned beef, potatoes, and rutabega wrapped up in a golden brown crust. If you want gravy, forget it. This was the first pasty I tried where I could see the onions, so I picked them out when I came across them (my kryptonite). The steak was a little chewy, and the seasoning was almost undetectable. Also, the pastry, although well baked, fell apart after a few bites. To be fair, though, we waited probably a good 30-45 minutes to eat it. I make French onion soup and judge restaurants by their French onion soup. The soup wasn't half bad but that's it. Don't even bother throwing a lawn dart up in the air and closing your eyes. Your chances of getting sick are higher than your chances of getting hit. Coming from a Sous chef myself they didn't chill the soup down or store it correctly. Major rookie mistake if they can't store soup right, what else are they doing wrong back in the kitchen?
