They also texted 15 minutes before arrival, which I really appreciated. Adam came out to service our heater, quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced the faulty part, and thoroughly tested the system. He explained everything clearly, communicated professionally, and even left the heater cleaner than when he arrived. On top of that, he provided a 1-year warranty on the repair. I am able to pay him through Venmo which made the process even easier. I cannot recommend this service enough. I've been using his service now for about a year and had an issue with my pump not operating properly. I notified him and asked for his help. Jose contacted me in less than 10 minutes with a step by step process to diagnose the problem. Because if his help I was able to quickly resolve the issue and everything is working great. I switched over to M&M Pools after being pretty unsatisfied with my prior pool cleaning situation…read more I had been contacting the previous company multiple times about the filter not turning on, but he essentially shifted the blame on me and refused to come over and troubleshoot. After some Yelp research, I came across this company, and Danny was the most responsive and got back to me with the most competitive rates. He and his dad (?) came over that same day to help me out. They went above and beyond, and most importantly, were able to admit the limitations of their knowledge and had the resources to call for outside help (something the previous pool guy seemed to have too much hubris to do). To be more specific, there was an issue with the Pentair pump/cleaning not automating like it was set to do. I managed to google a temporary fix, but the system was not running on its own. After M&M came to check it out, they were able to call our area's Pentair rep to check it out. It turned out to be a system problem, and the rep had to go in and update software in order for it to communicate properly! Now I have the number for that rep, and he explained how everything should be running SO thoroughly in layman's terms. The other pool company basically gaslit me, saying I had set it up incorrectly. I am so glad I made the switch over to M&M. They have open communication about breakdown of cost, and respond quickly. Pool is sparkling clean every week, and I get to pay with Zelle. Definitely can't recommend this family business enough if you're in the Downey area!

Incredibly disappointing service, I would never recommend paying what they were charging to get…read moreconsistently subpar service. We had them service our pool for a year. We didn't really notice how bad the service was because we had a new born and we're busy with other things. Service: They would come and service our pool for 4-7 minutes, we have video proof that they came in threw in chemicals, poorly brushed our pool. There were some weeks where they wouldn't show up and still charge us for services. They never, NOT ONCE ever recommended anything, it wasn't until I made mention that the pool seemed off that they recommended other services. As a service provider it's important they let the client know what can be done to keep the pool in better condition. Breaking point: We asked to have the main filter cleaned out because the pool was looking so bad, so they did it... we noticed that DE kept coming into the pool, they did try to remedy the problem but it took too long to fix. Finally they found out that the gasket was worn out so we needed a new one, after they replaced the gasket the pump went out. It wasn't until we noticed and contacted them that they said anything about it. Yet again another example where we had to bring up an issue they caused. Come to find out the pump gave out - I found it odd that it had been working well before they fixed the gasket and then it wasn't. Thank God I have home warranty because that mistake would have cost us $2,300-$3,000 dollars! Finally we get the pump fixed and everything gets put back to order, the following cleaning schedule, we walk outside to find a dead bird on our new TURF. We let Danny know about it and said that the technician said it was already there. The bird is still clearly wet in the pictures. All I needed him was to apologize and we could have moved past it, but he doubled down and basically called us liars. Communication: M & M pools never advised us when something was wrong, it was always us reaching out to them. Although they were always professional they never owned up to the issues addressed. I would NEVER recommend this provider to anyone.
