I'm staying in Broomfield and made the 40min drive to Longmont solely for this delicious place!! I've been here multiple times before but it's been about three years ago. I'm so pleased to say the prices are the same and so is the deliciousness!! The service is quick although food is made to order. The restaurant is small (max occupancy of 72) and has no public restroom - it's out the side door and down the hall in the shared part of the building. The menu options are plentiful although I gravitate to the same each time - why deviate from deliciousness?! They also make burritos, salads, bowls, quesadillas, street tacos, desserts and side items. Soda fountain options are a bit limited but they also have Coke in bottles and a variety of alcoholic beverage options or water, tea or lemonade. I will always come here when I'm within an hour of this place! They're open M-Sat. Check it out!!

One word: YUM. I'm sure I've said it in other reviews, but I love Mexican food - tacos, burritos, you name it. Blue Corn is right next to a gaming store that my boyfriend and I wanted to visit on a Saturday afternoon, so we decided to give it a shot and were absolutely not disappointed. The restaurant is the end unit in a small strip mall, so parking is fairly easy to find and there are quite a few large trees that provide some good shade for your vehicle if you stop by on a hot and sunny day like we did. The front counter and dining areas are very clean and tables are nicely spaced to give folks a bit of elbow room and privacy. You can see the grill right behind the register and tons of fresh vegetables and homemade tortilla/etc. ingredients stacked around, and everyone works super fluidly together to crank out hot, fresh, and delicious food to customers. We ordered the fajita chicken burrito and a handful of their signature blue corn tacos with different fillings. Our meals came out pretty fast and they were HOT; it took me a couple of minutes to comfortably handle my burrito because of how piping hot it was in the foil lol. When the gentleman dropped our dishes off, he also asked if we'd like a couple of sides of homemade salsa and gave us the option to choose the spice level. We both chose hot, and he brought back a handful of individually packaged salsas - they were absolutely delicious and had a good kick to them. I didn't end up trying any of the tacos, but given the speed at which my boyfriend ate them... they were obviously very good. My burrito was absolutely delicious!! The flavor combinations of the freshly grilled veggies, chicken, and rice were perfect. Price point was reasonable, especially considering portion size. I only ate about 2/3 of my burrito and was more than satisfied. Location is fairly convenient, especially when we get the urge to visit the game store right next door. Since I took these photos, we've been back a couple of times and I know that there are going to be many more visits in my future. Stop in if you get the chance, and I'm positive you won't regret it.

What a hidden gem of a taco place!!! After ordering and devouring the chile relleno taco and the pastor taco I told the manager these were the best tacos I'd eaten in years--and I eat tacos weekly! Fresh, full of flavors, and the blue corn tortillas are really a thing. Eat here!

We came down to Longmont on a chilly Monday preparing to grab some tacos to go and hit up a brewery. Turns out all the breweries are closed until at least 3pm, so we decided to grab a seat instead. It's an order-at-the-counter place with an expansive menu of traditional street tacos, burritos and home specialty tacos. I was feeling the sea this day, so I chose the fajita shrimp and the beer batter fish tacos from the specialty menu. My husband got one of every kind of street taco - Asada, pastor, carnitas, pollo and barbacoa. Both of us selected the blue corn tortilla option because if it's in the name, it's gotta be done! I loved both of my tacos, although I was surprised to find that the bed of Spanish rice was wrapped inside the taco instead of underneath. The pan fried onions and jalapeños were still nice and crisp, but somehow caramelized, and the rice was flavorful as well. The tortillas held together really well and were generously stuffed with the proteins. My husband enjoyed all of his tacos as well, with the barbacoa being his favorite. We also grabbed a horchata since the beer/margaritas aren't available there and enjoyed a leisurely lunch before we sauntered over to an open brewery!

!!!! It's been so long since I've had decent tacos and I found it. No frills but they've got the flavor, quality ingredients, and a tortilla that doesn't fall apart. Food: -Beer batter fish and shrimp: Batter is crispy and not too oily. Pickled veg balances the savory and makes it refreshing despite the mayo sauce. The avocado sauce is yum. -Pastor: Pork is juicy and well flavored. Pineapple adds a nice citrus undertone. Service: Quick and polite. You order and pay at the register. Space: Casual and clean. Lots of seating.

Located in an unassuming strip mall, one might not have high expectations, but this place is super clean, spacious, and bright. The owner is very friendly, and when we didn't know what to order, he made helpful suggestions which were on point! We ate there twice in two days while in the area, so that's gotta say something! Our first visit included various tacos including the poblano taco, carne asada taco, chips and queso. The next day included a smothered burrito, shrimp fajita taco and more chips plus guacamole. The blue corn chips were a nice change from the normal tortilla chips, and they had just the right amount of salt. The queso was flavorful and not too gooey or too thick. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. Pay at the counter and food is brought to your table. Just the nicest friendliest family and I love supporting small business. Bus your own tables if you like. This is our go to tie tacos now!

Holy guacamole! There's really good Mexican food in Longmont! At Blue Corn Tacos you'll find bue corn tacos, street tacos, burritos, rellenos, and more! And Tamales for Christmas Eve (order in plenty of time). The servings are very generous. The prices are so low you're going to think you got away with something--but there's no need to run out the door, unless you're placing a to-go order. Just found out about this place from my son. My wife and I ran up there for lunch--she had the fajitas taco and I had the relleno taco. Both come with rice, onions and peppers, served on either blue corn or white corn tortillas. They were filling, flavorful, homemade and inexpensive. This place is a winner. We have eaten at many of Longmont's Mexican restaurants of which there seem to be hundreds. This one is the best. Jose has been in restaurant business fro about 12 years and his experience shows. People need to support a quality locally-owned place like this. Order at the counter and sit either inside or outside, with appropriate distancing. read more

I've been to Blue Corn Tacos twice now. The first time I had the beef fajita burrito and the second time I had the Chile relleno burrito. Both were delicious!! Their green chili is the best I've ever had! The owners are friendly and gracious and took the time to tell us about the menu. This is a real gem and everyone needs to go there soon. This place is fantastic. It is family run and they make the food right in front of you. Everything was made to order, even the tortillas which were pressed and cooked for our tacos. We got some street tacos, specialty tacos and burritos and I honestly couldn't pick my favorite. Their green chile was so fresh and flavorful with large chunks of veggies. The chicken in the street tacos was grilled perfectly with a char on the edges. We got a taco with cactus leaves and sometimes, if cooked wrong, they can end up slimey, but these were chewy and flavorful. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Overall this place was a 10/10 and we will definitely be back. read more

i was very displeased with my tacos. stuffed with rice and 2 mini shrimp. my other tacos had barely any meat, lots of rice, and maybe on teaspoon of toppings. $5 for a rack of rice was not worth it, will not be going back. read more

Wow! This is hands down the most amazing place I have ever eaten! EVER! My husband and I come here at least one a week. The Chile relleno burritos and tacos are delicious. The carne Asada tacos are also pretty good. I tell everyone to go here because I think they have quality food for a reasonable price. So so so good!!!! We stopped in here because we love finding good new taco. We went in around dinner time and were surprised it wasn't very busy. It was staffed by youngins only, and they weren't very interested in us, it felt like the place was more of a" hang" for them. Tacos were on the expensive side, and the actual flavor seemed very good, but was ruined by the fact that all of the meat was prepared at some much earlier time, and later microwaved for our enjoyment. Really, there are microwaves on the back counter and they nuke it up fresh right in front of you. Sorry BCT, but it's your time to leave the island. read more

Blue Corn Toco in Longmont Colorado is absolutely the most fantastic Mexican food in Colorado, they have the perfect green chili, Hot, but not too hot ! Just that perfect hot that makes you keep dipping in for more ! Their homemade tortillas are Delicious ! And their salsa is fresh and tasty ! They make awesome guacamole So delicious ! And their chips are are what chips should be, just the right texture and thickness to complement the outstandingly delicious food ! They have many styles of taco's, my two favorites are the Carnitas taco and their street taco's which come in many varieties ! Their Burrito's are so Yummy and will Fill You Up ! My wife loves the chicken Pozole soup!. Jose and his lovely wife keep every thing running like a much loved family restaurant, they use quality ingredients and make you feel welcome ! ! We stopped by here while in Longmont and LOVED it! This is a small, local Mexican food restaurant where you order at the counter and then find a seat. We ordered a few street tacos and a few of their specialty tacos. The specialty tacos are made on homemade warm tortillas. They were fantastic! My favorite was the chili relleno taco or maybe the carnitas! I can't decide...They we're both Ah-Ma-Zing! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Longmont! read more

Wow! Small, unassuming strip mall location with big flavor! Excellent customer service as they walked this 1st-timer through the menu. This is a fresh take on Mexican food. The flavors are amazing. We ordered the burrito and 4 different tacos. My son said this is the best burrito he has had in a long time. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!

Everything tasted flat and uninspired. The only bright spot of the meal was the salsa, which was fresh and flavorful. Sadly, that alone wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience.

This place is the best Mexican food in town. That's saying a lot in a town full of very good Mexican restaurants. Everything is made on the spot in front of you so you know it's fresh. It's very quick service and well priced for the portion size. The spicy shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing!!! The only problem with this place is that more and more people are starting to hear about it and the lines are getting longer. I think they will have to move into a larger building very soon. read more
