Came during a later World Cup game and the atmosphere was unmatched! All the staff and patrons were clearly there for a good time! Can't say much about the food bc I only got chips and salsa and drinks. But my chips and salsa were so good I want to return! I got a mezcal cocktail which was super smoky and complex and we also shared a margarita with a beer in it! Got some tequila shots and that really kept the vibes high! Great place to see a game at night!
Visited this restaurant on cinco de Mayo 2026. The weather was beautiful we dined outside for lunch. We ordered their 3 specials menus for the day. We had the ceviche along with 3 huge oysters. Both the ceviche and oysters were fresh. Next we had the soft shell crab on blue corn tortillas. Our next meal was shrimp, beef, chicken, sausage, cactus leaves along with 4 different kinds of tortillas. The service was excellent.
As soon as you walk in, you can tell you're in for a treat. Great vibe, interesting decor, and very cozy. The server quickly greets you and takes the charger plate out of the way, then will explain any specials they have. I got one of the specials for that day, the birria beef taco. These were simply perfect, savory and tender just bursting with flavor. The consommé was also quite rich and zesty. These were phenomenal, I would suggest to try if they have them for that day. Best I have personally had. Also tried the skirt steak taco on regular menu and these were filled to the brim, also great. It is cash only, and they do have an ATM. I wanted to stop here a few times but usually don't have cash. This is definitely worth the effort to bring it. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked phenomenal, definitely will be back to try some more! Thanks
The service here was great! Really kind and attentive staff. We tried here because we saw online from multiple sources it's one of the best Mexican restaurants in Philly. It definitely did not disappoint! The food was so flavorful and the plates came with the food beautifully presented. We wished the rice was Mexican yellow rice, but overall a great spot!!!
Fantastic al pastor tacos and a great, strong marg! I got the three tacos and a skinny marg, and it was perfection. I tried one of my brothers steak tacos and definitely preferred my own. Service was quick, drinks were strong. Cash only, but they have an ATM onsite if needed!
This is the most authentic elevated Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia. They are from Puebla Mexico and offer a large variety of dishes. We started with salmon ceviche with mango and plantain chips. ( we ate it before thinking to take a picture. Next Chiles en nogada (a specialty dish with stuffed poblano pepper with mincemeat, aromatics fruits and spices and topped with a walnut based cream sauce called Nogada! Chicken flautas were perfectly crispy and generously filled with chicken topped with delicious cream and cotija cheese and salsa. We also ordered steak alabre (steak, chorizo, bacon, bell peppers, and onions, cooked together and smothered with cheese. Very delicioso, but we were stuffed and did not save space for dessert. I can't wait to bring my Mexican family there. It's like going home! Service was top notch and ambiance is fun, authentic and clean.
So my date arrives to the SRT kind of late but not really, he just seems late because I'm already too hungry to hang on the trail any longer. I was even getting too hungry to be able to make a decision. After he offers to help me by making a decision, I decide we will go to blue corn. He informs me of a large snapping turtle he saw on his way to me. We head back, she has now gathered a concerned posse,, everyone trying to figure out how involved to get. I look at my date who is already googling "how to pick up snapper turtle". I laugh and look back up to see that he has pretty much handled it, people clap for him, and we are back on our way to the italian market. We sit outside because it's the only option, and I am overwhelmed because its all babies yelling, plates clanking, cars passing, pedestrians walking. I usually don't like eating outside, but sometimes that's the music and you blink through it and you're good. So the first thing we order is the Ofrenda De Los Dioses. It comes to us quickly and smothered in a vibrant green sauce. I watch my date pick up his fork and knife, but I'm still looking through the menu for what else I want, and I am an only child so I don't want him to eat without me. This was my favorite thing we ate, but I do not have a photo of it because my date brought out the neurosis in me and everything went white. But I suggest you eat this too. I ordered a classic margarita , and it came in a glass that made me feel like I was the most interesting person on the block and it was my birthday. I ordered tinga sopecitos and our charismatic server suggested I could just get one of each. Everyone who works here is really great at talking about the food they serve, and I have a lot of admiration for this. I enjoyed listening to the staff talk to other tables about all kinds of stuff on the menu. My date ordered the Blue tacos, they come out looking beautiful, and he's clearly enjoying them when he realizes he never washed his hands after picking up his lady turtle friend. We laugh, he continues to eat his food,, I continue to hold his hand. One thing I love about blue corn is that they really let flavors breathe. Nothing is overly salty or drenched in any one flavor. Sometimes I find chorizo a bit indulgent , where I can only have it in small amounts, but the chorizo sopecito was my favorite. You can taste everything you're eating, and I think this simplicity lends itself very well to dishes that center good corn and herbs. We basically lick our plates and our server asks if we want dessert and my date says no. Red flag I know. He didn't know that I decided we were having dessert like 45 minutes ago when I watched a few cheeky sweets go to a table behind him. I order myself a flan and cafe de olla. I will not share. The cafe tastes like sitting at the kitchen table with whichever guru you love the most. The flan was adorned with strawberries and my date's spoon, and of course when I ask what his favorite thing was he says the flan he politely declined at first. Later he says something about sometimes the thing you don't want is the thing you need. So true.
Blue Corn somehow captures the entire spectrum of Mexican restaurants under one roof: it feels simultaneously homey where local families gather and lively with a bar and happy hour, and its menu has a combination of affordable classic items and more adventurous and upscale ones. I came with a couple others and tried out some of the latter kind of dishes since we were all Mexican food fans but wanted to try something off the beaten path. The three items we got were: - Tuna tostaditas: a daily special, three crispy blue tortillas topped with a deliciously refreshing tuna ceviche. One of the more "bougie" menu items but they seem to do great seafood here if the menu is any indication. - Zucchini blossom quesadillas: a set of three, stuffed not only with cheese but grilled vegetables including the blossoms which were a bit like artichoke. Came with a really good salsa verde and chipotle salsa - Ofrenda de los dioses: a specialty item the restaurant seems to have invented, sort of like a layered enchilada filled with cheese, corn, and huichacotle (corn mushroom) and smothered in a creamy green salsa. I had been looking forward to this one the most and it didn't disappoint! The huichacotle is sort of like a cross between a corn kernel and a grape in texture with a slight chew. And I scooped up every last bit of that sauce - truly worthy of the gods as the name states! Overall really good and memorable food, and I feel like Blue Corn is a great fit for any kind of Mexican meal, whether you're craving a familiar taco or eager to expand your horizons.
My absolute favorite taco spot! My faves are the lengua and the cabeza, but you can never go wrong with any of the tacos! Their ceviche is so refreshing and I believe it comes with a house-made spicy vinaigrette which is phenomenal. They're cash only but they also have an ATM too!
Second time here, another really great experience! Service was impeccable -- prompt, responsive, kind, super fine attention to detail. Outdoor seating was comfortable for 4 of us, and they have a lot of 2-person tables there too. Food was delicious & worked for a variety of diets/preferences (vegan, high spice level, low spice level, etc.). The rest of their brunch selection looked really yummy.
We had been meaning to try this place for a while and now that we have I'm glad that we did. The menu has a ton of options. We ultimately went with the blue corn tacos (which felt like an obvious choice) and the seafood stew special. The el pastor blue tacos were... pretty good. The tacos themselves were actually a bit thinner than I would expect but the filling was quite nice. The hot sauce on the side was a really nice addition. And the cooked green onions that it came with was a surprising and delicious addition. The seafood stew was the star: so much seafood (albeit you pay the price for it-almost all of the entrees are a bit on the pricier side actually). I was surprised they served bread to dip into the delicious broth given that it's a Mexican restaurant but this was a good touch. The white fish and shrimp were really nice. The clams and mussels were fine-nothing terribly special. But overall excellently seasoned. The drink menu is extensive. Cash only. Nestled into an adorable area of Little Italy. The service was extensive. We were super looked after and there were a ton of employees, many of whom served different roles and we ended up being catered to really closely. Definitely worth the try.
Excellent sit-down Mexican restaurant. Cash only. Full bar. We came for tacos, so tacos we had. We had chicken, pork, beef cheek, and oyster. Oyster tacos were a special that day, and special they were. Fried oysters were briny and delicious. I'd get those any time they are offered. The cabeza was also good. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu, like the huaraches.
I could give five stars alone for Blue Corn being the first stop of our epic South Philly Taco Crawl UYE! But in essence, I give it because it's the perfect classic taqueria with all kinds of local neighborhood charm and a good bar on top! Blue Corn is one of those South Philly Mexican restaurants that I've known about for years now. But when you're living there you get set in your ways of going to your usual local spots. So when I saw that it was the first spot on our taco crawl I was sold on joining in. And even if it was cash only and slightly on the smaller side, Blue Corn delivered big on where it mattered with epic service and quality food! After being one of the ones to arrive fashionably late for the crawl the Blue Corn staff were quick to connect another table for four to our group and get an amazing horchata in my hands. While it was tempting to also try a Mexican coffee, I was also sold on joining some of our group in enjoying some mezcal, and it was perfectly smoky and served traditional style with a slice of orange. If it wasn't a taco crawl I would have been sold on trying their huaraches, platillos, burritos, and other tasty delicacies. But since it was an epic taco crawl I was able to order some lengua tacos and trade some for a cabeza and pollo pibil taco. Of the three my favorite was the perfectly cooked beef tongue with subtle flavor. But I also enjoyed the slight tinge of spice that the Apollo had, and the tender bits of beef cheek from the cabeza. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that's classy on a budget, then it doesn't get much better than Blue Corn!
$ CASH ONLY $ Chilean Sea-Bass Ceviche $17 from the daily special's menu. Came with plantain chips. Enjoyed this. Nice start to the meal. Chorizo Sopecitos (3 per order) $14 small soft shell thick tortillas topped with refried beans, cheese, and sour cream. Good portion size. Really good. Would get this again. Could see myself craving this. Pescado Pibil from the special's menu $30 pan seared whole Dorade fish, marinated with Pibil sauce, stuffed with zucchini flower. Appreciate that this was deboned. Friends really enjoyed this. Pibil sauce was a bit sweet for me. Side of sweet plantain $6 was really good. read more

Came in on a Saturday around lunchtime. The place was empty at first but quickly filled up. The three of us started with one of the specials- the sea bass ceviche. It was so fresh. And the presentation was beautiful. Loved the pea tendrils and thinly sliced avocado garnishes. We also got the guacamole and chips. The blue chips were crunchy and thick enough to hold the guac. Loved that they did a change of silverware inbetween courses. For my main I got the three taco platter: two tacos Pasteur & one skirt steak taco. And a side of refried beans. The skirt steak was high quality meat. The pork was very flavorful. Loved the chewy taco shells. Would be hard not to get this again. It was so good. Service was incredible! Seriously, haven't had service this good in a long time. Food reminded me of Mexican food I ate in Mexico City. Would come back here anytime! read more

Went to blue corn for my birthday! Probably one of the best birthday dinners I ever had. Phenomenal service food was the absolute best. I will recommend this place over & over. Thanks again for a birthday I will never forget read more
Came here on a Friday night for dinner and grabbed a table for 2 outside immediately. The staff here is really Tier 1 -- very professional and courteous -- which was an interesting (but nice of course) contrast with our table on the sidewalk, next to a parked car. Overall, the food was delectable; every dish was done very well. However, after a drink, appetizer, and a main, I left a little hungry still. Blue Corn may argue that remainder would be filled with one of their desserts (fair), but I think the plates could have been a bit more sizable, especially for the prices here. Tampiqueña - Ordered medium, the steak came out as expected -- juicy and flavorful, especially when paired with the beans and guacamole spread. The accompanying enchiladas were good when eaten with the steak, but they're not great on their own. Overall a good dish though. You get a pretty nice piece of steak, but it seems like something is missing -- little small. Could use another side. Special: Brisket Tostadas: So good. These should be on the regular menu. Packed with meat and served on a crisp tortilla, these make the perfect appetizer. I only wish there was one more in the dish -- 3 just isn't enough! Value: 3/5 Quality: 5/5 Quantity: 2/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 read more

CASH ONLY JOINT! Came in on a Toosday night and it was crowded, usually a good sign. If you want a regular and fast-no frills taco joint, Blue Corn is probably won't be the spot. Blue Corn has a more elevated ambiance and expanded menu. Surprisingly, the do not serve tortilla chips pre-appetizer/entree so that was a bit disappointing for me. Taste: Queso- its alright to me but I think the taste is just one dimensional-just salty flavor Tacos: Al pastor- fresh and pretty tasty. Just wished i can taste the pineapple a little more Blue Tacos- this is good. Dare I say, It's better that the al pastor. The combo of cheese, peppers, and pineapple just good. Ambiance: its cute and quaint. I wouldnt suggest for a big crowd Price: fair Service: very attentive server(s). Overall, i give this place a 3.5/5 only bc personal preference. I prefer the no-frills taco joint. I would recommend this place for maybe a first date for the cute ambiance. read more

A solid spot for tacos! For just being right around the corner from us, Blue Corn is an easy restaurant to pop in to. It's right in the Italian Market, so it is surrounded by a ton of other good restaurants and eateries; it would be easy to miss and walk past if you didn't know about it. With friends visiting from out of town, we had a group of 6, so we struggled to find a place to take all of us without a res. A friend spoke highly of Blue Corn, so we made our way there and had no problem getting seating for our group. It was fairly late at night (~9PM), but we were pleased that it wasn't overly crowded. Blue Corn is a small restaurant, but they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating - I would love to snag a seat outside for a spring or summer happy hour! The indoor is fairly nondescript without a ton of decoration, but no big deal. The menu is extensive - they have a ton of food and drink offerings, it was so hard to pick! I stuck with a classic marg for my beverage, which was standard but good (and pretty strong). For my main, I had to go for the Blue Tacos since they are the namesake...but it was hard to narrow down! I received 3 tacos for $15, and they were decently full of meat and goodies - I would say it's a good deal! The blue tortilla was a fun touch - slightly more starchy than other tortillas, but it held all fillings of the tacos well. The pork was nicely cooked and appropriately tender. The sweetness of the pineapple was a great match for the savory, and the cheese was just enough to complete the dish. I was surprised to see a large grilled leek on my plate as well - a unique touch, but I personally loved it! The char from the grill made for an excellent flavor for the leek, making it nearly carmelized. So delightful! We had started with chips and guac too (standard, but good), so I could only do 2 of my 3 tacos, but I enjoyed the 3rd one at home the next day! My dining partners spoke similarly of their dishes, pleased with the quantity and quality. I would definitely visit Blue Corn with a group of friends, for a quick dinner, or for a fun happy hour. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid Mexican spot with reasonable prices for the quality of food! read more

I had been hearing about this place and I think I need to go back and try more food. We got a bunch of tacos and margaritas but I was looking around and saw other meat and fish dishes that looked really good. Overall my carnitas tacos seemed full of fat instead of meat... I tried the blue tacos but I can't judge as I don't think they're for me. The drinks tasted good. I'm not sure how to feel as others said this place has good service but I found the waitstaff to be a little overbearing lol. It kinda seemed like they were in a rush to get us out even though the restaurant was like 1/4 full. I would like to go back and try other stuff on the menu. read more
Stopped in while checking out the Italian market. My daughter is vegetarian and we found great options, settling on a huarache (see photo) for her and veggie quesadillas for me. I'm not vegetarian myself, but wanted to be able to share with the kid. Both dishes were fantastic, along with the amazing non-alcoholic drinks (conga and horchata) and salsas. I was especially happy with my quesadillas -- not too cheese-heavy, and with flavorful fillings of squash blossom, huitlacoche (corn mushroom), and mushrooms. Will very gladly return. One extra shout out to our waiter, who picked up that my girl was vegetarian and steered us away from a potato flautas dish that had chorizo in it (not mentioned in the menu description!). read more

10/10 would go again. This has quickly jumped up to the top of my list as my favorite Mexican spot in Philadelphia. The food was absolutely delicious - their tacos were flavorful and fully stuff, and the ribeye/marrow was to die for. Perfect amount of season and just the right amount of food. Their tortillas are also so warm every time they come out! The service was great, we were all so impressed by how quickly everything came out and was cleaned up, but at the same time we never felt rushed. The ambiance was so much fun - it was a packed place even on a weeknight, you could see everyone was truly enjoying their food. The only downside this place is cash only, but there is an atm at the front door in case you forget. Overall - would definitely recommend and is a place I would bring someone who was visiting if they were craving Mexican food! read more

One of Philly's best hidden gems. There is hardly ever a wait for their weekend brunch and the food is always outstanding. Their brisket tostadas special was phenomenal and the huevos rancheros is the best I've had in Philly. A quant and family owned restaurant that gives excellent service and serves up authentic Mexican cuisine. Cash only with an ATM on premise. read more

Quarantine Post! They do have plenty of outdoor seating making this a quick easy spot. CASH ONLY! The service here is impressive for a quaint restaurant. Each server asked us about our experience about 3 times, so depends on you if that is too much. The food is definitely very authentic and they always have a special menu. We got the taquiza among two people and an appetizer. It was plenty of food and I have to say the blue chips and sauce were delicious! The skirt steak, chorizo and chicken each had its own unique flavor and seasoning which was great. Each taco was packed with meat. I would recommend coming here for the reasonable prices, good service and tasty food. read more

Came here on a Tuesday night around 8p and it was very easy to find seating. That being said, it was a day the Phillies were playing in the World Series so I would assume this place is usually packed considering how good the food tastes. For a drink, I got the Oaxaca Old Fashioned which I would highly recommend for anyone that likes Mezcal or an Old Fashioned. It was very refreshing. For food, I ordered the Sopecitos (2 Chorizo, 1 Tinga) which was an open-faced tortilla that was really good. I didn't have the sour cream, but added salsa on top instead. Very good and would definitely get again. I personally liked the chorizo over the tinga, but the tinga was really good too! read more
I'll be honest, I was expecting a little more from this place. We were told it was knock your socks off good and I honestly thought it was just good. I had Al pastor tacos and my partner had a chicken burrito for lunch takeout. We ordered over the phone and the food was ready in under 15 minutes. I was disappointed that the tacos (3 total) were all the same meat ie you couldn't do three different tacos in one order. I ordered a side of rice and beans and it definitely is from a bag of frozen premixed rice - it was white rice with carrots, corn and peas! I was expecting Spanish rice. That rice was also in the burrito which was weird, it wasn't flavorful. The beans were prob from a can. The Al pastor itself was really good but the burrito was just ok so overall I'm a little disappointed. I'll have to come back to try some other menu items and at that point I'll re-review. Sorry I forgot to take before photos I was really hungry. read more

I came here when I was really craving some tacos because of their really good reviews. I'm not gonna lie I was a little bit disappointed. The prices here were definitely not cheap, but the portions were on the bigger side. The steak and al pastor both lacked a bit of flavor for me and the seafood tacos tasted incredibly fishy and were very watery. Overall, it does the job if you're really craving some tacos, but I think this place is definitely a bit overhyped. It is also cash only for anyone looking to go! read more
I got the Al Pastor tacos. The tortillas were fresh and hot. The pork was well executed, though could have been slightly more tender. The pineapple and pork flavors were well balanced. The tacos came with a big cooked onion which was very savory and nicely executed. read more
They brought out some free chips and salsa after we ordered. The two salsas were very interesting. The dark red one was a little smoky and a little hot. The green was a bit more fruity but also hot. Not what I am used to eating chips with. The salsa are kind of liquidy and don't have much substance to it or any flavor really. Oh well. It was free. The nachos were good. It is your standard restaurant styled nacho plate except someone shot it with a shrink ray. Flavor was good I just wish it was bigger. The gorditas were not great. The fried pocket had no flavor. The cheese had a nice texture and mouthfeel and the pork inside had no flavor either. Did the price of salt/seasoning skyrocket or something? Why are they holding out on me? The tacos were the only thing I would order again if I came here. Decent portion size and the flavor was good. Tender juicy pieces of chicken with potato on a blue corn tortilla. Loved it Also! This place is cash only. So hit your bank's atm beforehand. read more
tl;dr this unpretentious taquieria in the Italian Market serves up some mean tacos, although serve leaves something to be desired In a city not renowned for Mexican fare, Blue Corn is a diamond in the rough. This colorful restaurant that makes you feel right at home, with minimalistic wooden tables, pre-set simply with folded napkins and maroon placemats. The small bar nestled in the back has shelf upon shelf of liquor options. A long mirror hangs on one wall, opposite cultural memorabilia and portraits on the other. Two TVs are hanging in opposite corners, broadcasting soccer games. My partner and I eagerly stopped by last weekend, looking forward to discovering what the buzz is about. We opted for the Tripe Tacos, Mixed Gorditas plate, and a side of cactus salad. Our bellies grumbled as we met the aroma of each dish passing our table. After a slightly longer-than-anticipated wait, our food was finally unveiled. The tacos were out of this world -- the bright green corn tortillas were stuffed generously with rich, well-seasoned (and surprisingly not-chewy) tripe. I also was keen on adding the cactus, mixed with caramelized onions, for added dimensions of texture and flavor. The gorditas, meanwhile, were piping hot, overflowing with marinated meat and tangy cheese. While I'm not the biggest fan of gorditas, I found these to be well-cooked and hearty without being overwhelmingly starchy. While the food was solid, service was mediocre at best. Our waiter forgot to bring out chips and salsa, leaving us waiting ravenously for our dishes. Also, while he topped off my barely touched glass of water once while he took our order, he neglected to do so again until we had already paid the check. Nonetheless, the relatively cheap prices ($26 total) and remarkably tasty food, Blue Corn will remain in my comfort food repertoire. read more
Great little place with delicious Mexican food. Its like many authentic Mexican taquerias in Philadelphia, but a notch or two more upscale. Not that standard local joint taquerias aren't wonderful, just that this has a bit more finesse and feels like it could be either weeknight or special dinner restaurant. The food was great. Many choices of preparation and sauce that show off different aspects of Mexican cuisine. Well prepared, beautifully presented. We sat outside and enjoyed the South Philly Italian Market neighborhood vibe. Covered space to protect from elements if weather wasn't good, but with enough open space and breeze that it felt comfortable and safe. Service was excellent. Cash only - but you don't need that much cash since the prices are pretty modest (as long as you don't run up a bill for drinks!). read more

Really good, cravable Mexican food. The chicken nachos were perfection and the guacamole is some of the best I ever had. Hands down, the blue tortilla chips make all the difference. We also had the seabass ceviche, which was really delicious. Nice and fresh and I loved the plantain chips they came with. Lastly, the blue corn margarita was out of this world! Anytime we have company from out of town, we make it a point to bring them here! With perfect location in the busy Italian Market, this place offers some of the best Mexican food I have had on the East Coast and the presentation is always superb. We were able to secure a table for 4 outside under the covered portion of the busy sidewalk and were immediately greeted by our waiter. He listed the number specials and additions and we ended up ordering quite the feast. The guacamole came out first and met every expectation. It was fresh and simple. We had orders of the blue corn tacos which are always piled high with pastor, cooked onions, and melted oaxaca cheese. The specialty tostadas were difficult to bite, but worth all the effort. the crispy tortilla supported refried beans, marinated chicken, and came with the best red salsa. These were so good that we actually ordered two. I also had the sword fish tacos that came in a flour tortilla. the lightly battered and fried fish was wrapped up nicely with a mayo dressing and pickled veggies. Their margaritas are always strong, but delicious. Luckily we were just a quick walk back home after! If you do come here, remember that they are cash only, but don't worry because there is an ATM inside. read more

The best tacos in Philly! I ordered pibil tacos and they were so amazing, juicy and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered pastor tacos and also loved it. Situated right across the corner from one of the most famous taco places in Philly-South Philly Barbacoa, I see why Blue Corn does not get as much publicity as it deserves. But honestly, Blue Corn might have quickly raised to the top as my favorite taco place in Philadelphia. When I came here, I ordered way too much: the portions are not small. I had the steak nachos to start. This was a big platter, and could have easily satisfied 2 people, and been an appetizer for maybe 4. It was beautiful, and tasted just as good as it looked. Next, I had their signature Blue Corn Tacos, which are blue corn taco shells with el pastor meat. This was the highlight of the meal, and was so so good. I still dream of these tacos at night, and wake up craving these soft savory shells. As my main entree, I had the ribeye that was off-menu, and absolutely worth it. The ribeye was topped with a sweet and spicy tomato based sauce with rosemary and diced onion that loaded every tender bite with rich flavors. The cocktail menu was also really diverse. I orderd a mezcal based drink and a spicy margarita type of drink with jalapenos. Both of them were delicious and had large pours as well. I will definitely be coming back, and would recommend taco fans to come and be blessed by this spot. read more

Yuuummmmm. My friends and I came here Friday night for dinner around 8pm. It was still busy with full tables in and outside but we thankfully didn't have to wait for a table for four. You don't have to show a vaccination card to eat here but they do request you mask when entering. Their menu has a ton of options depending on what your taste buds want with vegetarian options in each category. I debated between the gorditas and torta and went with the chicken torta as the server said that was more food. He was right! The sandwich comes with fries or a salad and the torta itself is huge. Packed with delicious chicken, avocado, grilled veggies and Mexican cheese, the flavor was so good. The bread itself has refried beans as the spread as well. We didn't order drinks but they have a good selection of beer and margaritas. Blue Corn is a great spot for groups or on your own. read more
The blue corn tacos are a standout here, with their soft blue corn tortillas and sweet-and-savory pork with pineapple. A delicious five stars, especially when dipped in their yummy red sauce. But everything else, including the gorditas, was five stars. Didn't like that one of the gorditas was packed with cheese and no meat, and the pork one had an odd taste and red sauce. read more

My friend and I came to Blue Corn for dinner and had a great meal! We came around 6pm on a weeknight and were seated right away. We ordered drinks from the cocktail menu - I had a Jamaica Mezcal cocktail and my friend had a frozen Tamarind Margarita. Both drinks were unique and delicious! They also brought out some complementary chips and two kinds of salsa to start with, which was nice. We split the Azteca Huarache (which had whole cactus, huitlacoche, and melted Oaxaca cheese.) It was a really tasty preparation of cactus. For my main entree, I got the Huitlacoche Quesadillas. They were really good, but I could have used some acid to balance out the richness (some pico de gallo, lime, etc.) The portion sizes were great, and I was able to take half of my quesadillas home for another meal. Overall, I would definitely return read more

Are they ever going to accept credit card?
