We stopped here totally randomly because we were in the area! Didn't look like much from the outside and nearly aborted as we wanted a sit down meal, but we gave it a shot and we are so glad that we did. We dined in for breakfast with my husband getting a big breakfast sandwich with homemade chili, bacon, eggs and cheese. All the things, it was huge! I got an omelette that had bacon AND sausage and American cheese. The food was made fresh and HOT and it was all so yummy!!! We want to return for lunch, there are so many homemade sauces I'd like to try. The staff there and the man preparing the food are so freaking nice and welcoming. Overall big win! My mouth is watering :)

Loved Blue Cactus Grill! Looks very unassuming from the outside but inside is full of magic. It has a deli feel to it with a counter and the grill in the back, couple tables to eat at inside. Service is great, gentlemen was passionate about working there, love to see that. My wife and I got breakfast, I had the Bronx Bomber on a hard roll containing bacon, egg, delicious homemade chili, potato which were fries, and cheese of course. Delicious sandwich, great size as a well. They have a Ron of house made sauces to try out as well and they bottle them if you like them so much, pretty amazing. My wife got the American omelet which had both bacon and sausage and we split an order of the home fries. They were the diced variety, wished they were slightly more crispy but still loved them and put sauce all over them. I have to get back to try them for lunch, this place rocks!!

We came here while in CT for a homeschool field trip. Hubby really wanted a Philly cheesesteak and this place had really great reviews so we decided to check it out. I'm not gonna lie...when we pulled up, I had serious reservations. LOL. I checked Yelp to make sure we were in the right spot. We went in, checked out the menu and made our order. Hubby got his cheesesteak, babes had tendies n fries, and I got a few different items, including their AMAZING cactus slaw, jalapeño poppers and NE clam chowder. All of the food was really good. They're definitely a small but mighty shop. They have only a few tables so we ate our food in the car before heading back home. I'm happy I ordered extra slaw...it's sooooo good!

This food was super fresh and who I think was the owner was super nice. I asked if the chili was spicy because we wanted to order some for someone else he was willing to give me a taste. I thought that was really accommodating on his part. I was disappointed when my sandwich came out hot I thought I was ordering a cold sandwich. I'm biased against hot sandwiches (I think they eat messy) and the clam chowder ate heavy. Too much cream and potatoes for my taste but it did have good flavor. I also didn't enjoy eating the quesadilla that fell apart in my hands. I don't like messy food. I think they would greatly benefit from putting out those cheap clear plastic gloves. I know I would've enjoyed the meal much more.

The hospitality at this restaurant is QUALITY. The woman working the front I think her name is Amanda, was so kind, so knowledgeable about their menu and so friendly! The food was amazing. I got the Greenwich Ave sandwich (chicken salad) was a little weirded out by it being warm, but it was so good! My husband got the standard cheesesteak with wiz, he ate every bite. I forgot to get a picture of our meals because we were so hungry. But I highly recommend this little place! read more

Great food great service overall five every time we eat there best soup in town. Burgers are fantastic great taste salads are awesome. I pretty much here at least once a week whether it be lunch or dinner my favorite go to is Philly chicken and a white rat peppers and cheese. Love it. read more

I've ordered lunch several times over the past few months, and the food has been excellent every time. The specialty soups, like Turkey Gumbo and their Split Pea, are both delicious. Their catus slaw, house potato chips, and Fiesta Mac N Cheese are very tasty. I also recommend the Traditional Cheesesteak, the Colorado, and the West Texas Cajun wrap and the high-pro Chicken Bowl. read more

We stopped in with our kids after visiting the Stepping Stoned museum. What a great choice! The atmosphere was laid back and extremely welcoming. The gentleman who took care of us was friendly and helpful, explaining menu options and offering free homemade chips (delicious). He was patient with our noisy and picky group of kids and made my day when he served my toddler sliced grapes on the side of her grilled cheese. I had the "Oh Cheezus" which was fresh and flavorful. I wish I lived closer so I could go back often and try the many interesting choices. Definitely check this place out, whether you're looking for a regular lunch spot or a pit stop off 95 on a road trip. read more

Blue Cactus is a gem in the Norwalk area. They have delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. I highly recommend the Phoenix Tuna Melt. It is the most delicious tuna sandwich I think I will ever have. To add to the traditional sandwich it contains avocado and spicy mayo. They have also recently increased their vegetarian options with things like buffalo cauliflower bites (amazing) and a whole lot more. Check this place out! Coming up from NJ and we stopped here. Food was done quick and as ordered. Best jalapeño poppers i've ever had with a delicious chipotle mayo. Got a chicken salad sandwich on toasted multi grain bread that was also amazing. On the flip side, my wife got chicken tenders with honey mustard and they were high quality but extremely salty. And the honey mustard was kind of pasty. Side note, they did let her into the private restroom and since we are on the road that was quite kind of them. Warning however, the bathroom was incredibly small because it's not geared towards guests. But they were very sweet to let her use it. All in all, I would certainly come here again if i'm ever in the area. read more

The clam chowder...UGH I've had it before and it was good..not great, but good enough. But tonight the potatoes are gigantic...about 10 times the size of the corn, carrots and clams. Very little clams...all potato and milky broth. And NO flavor at all. And to top it off...it was COLD....not even warm...just cold, watery and bland. AND ... There was so much salt on the sweet potato fries, I had to throw them out . NEVER again. read more

We were immediately greeted as we walked in. I got the traditional cheesesteak with American cheese and onion... and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. I will most definitely be back! Family and I were driving around and needed to find a spot to grab some lunch before taking our two year old home for his nap. We stumbled upon Blue Cactus Grill and were greeted with warmth from the second we walked through the doors. They have a big menu covering any sort of thing you might want, and they do not hold back on the portions. Everyone was thrilled with their meal and we will definitely go back. That said, what really stuck out to us was how friendly they all were. The woman at the counter saw that our little guy was hungry and came out with a cup of cut up grapes to hold him over. They chatted us up the whole time and went out of their way to make our two year old laugh. Great place, great people. read more

Paid $14 for a drink and sandwich. Got a cheesesteak on a wedge and it was just straight up bad. Like really bad. Subway has a better tasting cheesesteak. Tasted like the cook poured a cup of black pepper on it. Barely any cheese. Takeaway is: overpriced, not tasty, not worth it. Sorry Blue Cactus. read more

I love this spot. Something about ordering BCG on the weekends feels right to me. I LOVE their tenders, especially the ones in Sin City sauce. Life Changer wrap is exactly what anyone needs on any given day. I like to look at their specials menu because they have some really innovative choices that get some real thought and love put into them. All of their sauces are in house made and I recommend getting an extra side of whatever sauce is in your meal because you WILL want more. The food is always packaged efficiently and you are met by THE nicest individuals behind the counter when you get there. I really appreciate that! read more

Very good food (quality and taste), excellent service. They are very friendly. They are usually pretty quick making the food. It's clean inside. Not really that big inside though, but there is seating inside. Not a lot of parking outside. Get's crowded quickly, especially around lunch time. I highly recommended the philly cheese steak, it is delicious. Their burgers, fries and onions are also very very good. The only reason this review didn't get 5 stars is because of the parking and the size of their food. It's a bit on the smaller side for my taste, especially for the price. read more

My husband and I stumbled across this little lunch spot today. The first second we walked im I knew we were in the right place. Everything smelled Ah-mazing ! We were greeted by a very nice man who we told it was our first eating here. He explained there menu and specials . We ordered a cheese steak and a special blue cactus burger . Of course tried there home made potato chips . Everything was delicious.. Even the coleslaw was the best i ever had !!We will definitely be back. Amazing food, amazing service, great and personable/friendly owners, very fast service too! This is the best restaurant for lunch in Norwalk hands down. A vast menu with something for everyone, and the quality is through the roof! It's a small mom and pop shop so even before covid you sometimes had trouble finding a seat to dine in. During covid if you were looking to dine in it's actually a bit easier as less people eat inside, when we have gone the tables inside have been open. read more

What a great spot to grab some amazingly fresh food. I had the classic Philly cheesesteak and it was packed with flavor! The staff were so friendly and very helpful in suggesting I add a little Chipotle mayo. I was unsure at first because I have a low tolerance for spicy things but man was it worth it. It was just the right amount of spiciness. The cactus slaw was refreshing and loaded with a lime cilantro type of dressing. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Victor, chef and owner, is a 20-year resident in both Fairfield County and Tucson, Arizona and has over 25 years in the food and hospitality industry. Victor's passion is food, cooking and making people happy by cooking for them. The staff was super friendly, and I ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. It was made on a Brioche roll with a fried egg. Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the egg or the sandwich overall. It was okay, probably a three-star kind of thing. Next time I went back, I tried the Calise sandwich, which has chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and balsamic glaze. I asked for the broccoli rabe on the side because I know everyone makes it differently. I get that it can be bitter, but some places make it taste amazing without the bitterness, so I wanted it on the side. The sandwich was really good, so I'd give it four stars, especially since the breakfast one was just three in my book. Sometimes you gotta visit a place a couple of times to really get a feel for their food. I wasn't really a fan of the broccoli rabe--it was a bit too bitter for me. But the sandwich itself was tasty, with well-seasoned chicken and really fresh mozzarella. Not sure if they make the mozzarella in-house, but it's delicious. It tasted just like you'd expect from an authentic Italian deli. Very good. Third time I went, I tried the Mother Clucker, which has a chicken cutlet, Russian dressing, cheddar cheese, and bacon. I wanted to try it because I'd seen it being made during my last visit and it looked awesome. It took about ten minutes to get ready. When I opened it up, I realized it had melted cheddar, not sliced like I thought, but it was all good. The sandwich was tasty, but a bit over the top with the bacon and melted cheddar--almost too much. I think using sliced cheddar would bring everything together better. The melted cheese kinda takes away from it, in my opinion. The bacon was crispy even with the cheesy sauce on top, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I definitely plan to come back and try the Chopped Italian Combo. The staff's always friendly and welcoming, and it's a solid spot if you're looking for breakfast, with plenty of breakfast platters and other menu items that might catch your eye.

Delicious burgers, cheesesteaks, sandwiches and salads - and give me strength if it's Potato Leek or New England clam chowder day! The freshly made fries and potato chips are divine - no contest vs. the frozen and processed sides you find elsewhere. (It also takes serious willpower to resist the homemade banana pudding). The owner is super friendly and clearly has pride in the quality of food he serves. Chefs are inconsistent. I always get the same thing when I go - a California wrap, which is vegetarian .. The first two times I must have had the same chef because it was delicious, but other random times that I've gotten the same thing it was extremellllly bland and sloppy like someone just threw all of the ingredients without caring because the wraps were fallen apart right when I opened them before taking any bites... if it was always the same chef, which is impossible lol, then I'd give this restaurant 4 stars, but that one chef that has ruined my food over 5 times is the reason I don't eat here anymore. read more

We just started coming here the other week as we saw all the good reviews and now its one of me and my coworkers top lunch destinations! I always order the Cali wrap with chicken and its sooo yummy. The guys have tried the Steak fajita wraps, the Tuscan Monster sandwich, and the Cuban Reuben wrap and have loved all of them. The sandwiches are always packed with meat which is rare to find at deli's these days. The prices are fair and standard to what you'd find at other delis but the quality is way better, definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a good lunch! read more

I am updating my review to change to 4 stars based on customer service, came to ask for a reuben i got before and the lady in the front was trying to sell me a wrap, i told her no miss is a sandwich with two pieces of bread she try selling me a turkey wrap again! As good as it gets is right!!! If you haven't been there, you have not lived. Food and service are beyond 5 starts. Vic is my main man and has handled my catering requests even when I gave him one hour notice one day. And he did it without complaining. That is what I call service!
