This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The 1 star I gave is only for our server, who was timely, kind, and courteous. We should have left when we noticed dirty silverware and glasses placed on our table, but instead, I exchanged them with another empty table. We all ordered different meals- I ordered the taste of italy (their special for the evening), my husband ordered the big dipper, my mom ordered an omelet, my step dad ordered a skillet, and my daughter got chicken tenders. The only decently tasting food was my daughter's chicken tenders. The skillet was burnt and seemed to be reheated, the omelet was cold, the taste of Italy was flavorless and rubbery, and the big dipper didn't have cheese (it was supposed to). To make matters worse, another employee was rudely vacuuming in the section we were seated in. It was like she was trying to be obnoxious because she vacuumed every table around us twice and it seemed to be endless. I asked our server if she could ask that she take a break from vacuuming until we left. We were yelling at each other just to have conversation across the table. This woman gave our table really dirty looks and said, sorry but I have to finish my job. And continued until we packed up and went up to the counter to pay. She met us at the counter where we were talking with the manager about our experience. She seriously was arguing with us and trying to justify her behavior. As we were walking out of the restaurant she was loudly complaining about us to the manager. The vacuum queen should have been sent to wash dishes because they were probably dirtier than that floor was. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. Older Greek style restaurant that needs Robert Irvine to show up and do a MAJOR make over. Carpet is torn and ugly. The men's room is scary. All of the partitions are falling off of the walls. The door to the rest room is leaning and won't close properly. We arrived at the noon hour on a Sunday and the place was pretty full. My wife and daughter ordered breakfast items and the quality was okay, large quantity. Sadly my wife asked for fresh fruit and was served canned peaches. I had roast turkey and dressing. I chose the French Onion Soup instead of the salad. Imagine my surprise when it came naked (no swiss cheese) and was told I would have to pay more for the cheese. I chose not to. The soup was somewhat tasteless. My meal was supposed to come with a dessert but my server never offered. We won't be going back. read more

I usually don't have any issues with the food or service, but on Sunday June 12 the service was terrible. There were more than enough servers on staff but it seemed ours was really having problems. It took a long time for her to come to the table, and a lot longer for our food to arrive. The host didn't seem to be of much help and our total dining time was 2 hrs. I will go here for lunch and breakfast, as the service is nice and prompt. Hope this not becoming the norm or we will find another place to eat. read more

Not fond about Blue Bay Restaurant, Mukwonago, WI. I have eaten here two times thinking that it would be better and those times I have dealt with uncleaned dishes and poor meals. It's unpleasing to eat here. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Really friendly staff, great service. Food is just ok. I ordered a skillet, felt like something I would cook at home. Presentation not so great, sausage links literally cut up, thrown in with the eggs and potatoes. Wife got a mushroom flatbread, it was literally mushrooms (can not fresh), onions and cheese thrown on a pita. This area must have low expectations for this place to stay open for 20 years. read more

I've been trying to give blue bay a chance by going about 6-7 times now and Unfortunately the food never seems to be consistent. They have a large menu but if you don't select the most common options your taking a gamble with quality. It is listed as a Greek restaurant so I went there to get a gyro and it was one of the most disappointing gyros I've ever had. It was the frozen gyro meat and most prices had dried out hard edges. read more

My father and I go here every week. The owners are wonderful and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. We have come to rely on our 2 favorite waitresses: Missy & Patty. We are greeted with coffee as soon as we sit down; sometimes even before we make it to our seat. Absolutely LOVE this place! read more

We have eaten here many times in the almost twenty years since they opened, (originally Babes restaurant). Until recently we have ordered burgers, sandwiches, breakfast and various ethnic dinners. Food and service has been 'just' adequate for a typical Greek place, but no complaints about cleanliness, prices or atmosphere until our last and I do mean our last as in final visit ever. What changed to elicit this decision? Glad you asked. On our final dinning experience I decided to order a steak (porterhouse) even though my wife suggested not to because they aren't a steak house. I ordered it anyway because at $18.95 for 16oz., I thought it could be mediocre like everything else here but still be a reasonably good deal for that price. I could not have been more mistaken and disappointed. After trying to cut into this piece of medium rare meat in several places with the provided steak knife and struggling to do so, it became obvious I was served a piece of boot leather. I sent it back without having one bite and declined to have another to replace it because everyone else in our party would be finished before then. Mike the owner came over to inform me that it was a black angus steak and there was nothing wrong with it. He indicated that I don't know how to cut a steak properly. Really? I'm 66 years old and have cut and consumed more then my share of steaks both good a few bad, but only this inedible one to date. Most of their meals come with choice of potato, soup or salad, a glass of wine or beer and a desert. I ate the salad because it comes before the meal as always. When we got the check it included that salad and all the drinks we ordered, a salad that is all iceberg lettuce and little else, their cost probably less then $1.00. I didn't expect to be compt for anything but neither did I expect this. I told them how foolish this was because we had several drinks each which helps their bottom line for that table and in addition were losing repeat customers over a cheap salad. Even after bringing this to their attention they would not back down. A definite case of being penny wise and pound foolish. read more

I was just there and the women's bathroom - just say GROSS. Plus - two female employees came into the stalls while I was washing the kids up and did not wash their hands. I told the female owner nicely while paying my bill and she got defensive and said the bathroom was cleaned x2 a day. Really? It looked like x2 a year. Plus she said "how did I know the girls were employees?" Really? They were hiding out in there and were probably texting in the stall. I really didn't pay that close of attention and didn't want to "pick them out of a line up." Really weird response from owner - but the place is dirty period - never going back and that is what I told her - makes my skin crawl. Bleach and a scrub brush would go a long way. read more

Was charged $6 for two pieces of toast for my kids. When i asked about it because that seemed crazy, i was treated like garbage and told i should learn how to read the menu. First and last time I'll go there. Nothing like having the old man yelling at one of waitresses across the restaurant in front of customers, she was being trained by one of the other waitresses. I also saw another waitress touch the tomatoes as she putting it on the salad. read more

Breakfast is very good. Never had lunch. Have had the skillet and biscuits and gravy. You get seated very quickly even when it is very busy. Which is great. First experience wasn't the best because it took about 45 minutes to get our food. read more

Awful!!!!! I ordered the Wisconsin it was half cold and half burnt. There leg of lamb was covered with gravy why? Also it said includes mint jelly and when I asked for some the waitress said we didn't have any!!!!!! Also waitresses were all talking and laughing while I was waiting for my food. I've been to Blue Bay five times over the last few months and have had good food and service every time. Yes, the decor is a little dated but the food and service is what's important to my family so the decor is easily overlooked. We've gone there at different times of the day, eating different meals each time and have not been disappointed yet. I suggest you ignore the older reviews of Blue Bay and give this place a chance. read more
