I was in Redmond to see a specialist and when that was over decided to have lunch at Blu Sardinia. I arrived a little before noon and found I had the restaurant to myself! I felt like a VIP of VIPs! I was met by a member of the staff and shown to a table. The staff member took my drink order (a drink named Amoxicillin) and I asked for Pane Rustica, but was told that only the head chef knew how to make the flatbreads and he wouldn't be in for another hour. . Oh well. I then placed my order for my main course. I chose the Parmigiana Di Pollo. Oh my! This had to be the absolute BEST chicken parm I've ever had! The angel hair pasta was great! The pasta sauce was excellent! And the chicken parm was exceptional! I've never had chicken parm that was crunchy AND tender AND moist! So good! When I was all done, or so I thought, the server asked if I was interested in dessert. I said Yes, Please! And looked at the dessert menu. I ended choosing the Tiramisu and was amazed yet again! There were so many flavors! After I finished my most excellent meal, and was relaxing, I finally realized that the background music was so fitting. It was the cliched Italian restaurant music. There were selections including Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Connie Francis, and Angelo Fabiani. The interior was furnished very elegantly, and the staff was very pleasant and eager to help. I am very fortunate that I got the chance to experience Blu Sardinia.

    Bruschetta nice decor; but burnt

The interior is nice. The staff was polite. The Prosciutto And Fig pizza was really tasty. The same goes for RAVIOLI AL QUATTRO FORMAGGI pasta. The plates are nice. I wish the menu had pictures. However, please DO NOT order Bruschetta bread. It was burnt. Now you know why I gave it 3*.

Lamb Shanks was a bit tough, but it was flavorful.

Ambiance - 3.5/5. It's a nice Italian food restaurant with a bar. This restaurant would do well if this was in Kirkland! Service - 4/5. Our server was very nice. Food 3.5/5. The flavor of lamb shank was good, but the meat was a little too tough. Pesto Bucatini was cooked perfectly but the sauce needed a bit more creaminess to wraps around the bucatini. The shrimp was very flavorful though. Chicken parmesan was crisp outside and moist inside. The pasta that comes with it was pretty good too, but it lacks a tiny bit of garlic or cheese. Everything was not hot enough by the time it got to the table. If they can improve on that, we thought this restaurant would do better. Overall the experience was great and we'd definitely come back here again.

Was here for a girls night out with 18 others. We were a big group and occupied two big tables in the dining area. We got there at 5pm, hoping to start off with the happy hour menu but were told happy hour is only in the bar area. Given the group size, they could have been accommodating. Kind of bummed about that. Anyways, on to the good stuff. Interesting cocktails. I got the purple bee. Looked pretty and boy, was it strong! Loved it. Ordered the pane rustica & aglio olio. They kind of forgot the pane rustica and brought it at the end when I reminded them about it. Happens when you are in a big group. Food was excellent. Wood fired flat bread with whole roasted garlic and goat cheese was delicious. And the pasta was very good too. Everyone loved their food and drinks. It's a great place for date nights. Though it's in a strip mall, when you walk in, you are immediately transported to a very chic, upscalish place. So dress up! Or keep it casual and get the best happy hour deal at the bar!

Ordered pork and mushroom bucatini pasta and Pizza, for dessert we had their ice cream ( coconut, pistachios, and chocolate) and tiramisu. The ambiance had some live jazz nusic and even a tap dancer/flamenco? Anyway, it was a great experience. We didn't have a reservation but was seated promptly. The food was soooo good! I mean I love the pizza and the pasta had so much protein. The tiramisu was good and didn'ttaste too much of the coffee which is nice for me since I like more milder coffee taste. The pistachio ice cream though i love ! The staff was super nice and very attentive. Overall experience was awesome and definitely would love to go back and try other things. The staff did recommend to get their sorbet of the day if they have it, we didn't manage to do so. But that day they had mango.

We wanted to find a restaurant that' would allow our puppy on the patio & had good food so we stopped here. As soon as you walk in you see their impressive wood fired oven- just beautiful. It was a Tuesday at 1:00 ish & there was no one on their nice patio which worked great! Kevin greeted us & took great care of us. We started with ice teas & the flat bread with roasted garlic & goat cheese- really delicious- we should have asked for more goat cheese lol. My husband & I each got the Caesar salad- I added prawns & he added chicken- both were really good- not enough dressing for my husband's liking- but again, we should have asked for more. I pretty much never like the croutons on salad but these were really good & the prawns were juicy & flavorful. My mom ordered the Margherita pizza- amazing! Lots of mozzarella & basil & the crust cooked perfectly in their pizza oven.

Wow! What a delightful and delicious local Italian restaurant. I've lived in this area for many years and visited developer take them all many times but cannot believe I've never stopped in. Finally came here last weekend with my family We had a wonderful dinner. The service was prompt and very friendly and the food was also delicious. Eerything we ordered was great. For appy's we had grilled octopus calamari and fried brussel sprouts. Did brussel sprouts had fried pancetta and then goat cheese tossed on top of it, and the grilled octopus came with some really good sauce. We also ordered the Sardinia cracker focaccia bread and olive oil for our bread plate. Remains we got the rack of lamb special, the scallop papperadel special, mushroom risotto with added scallops, and then yoki with Italian sausage. We all really loved our dishes. For dessert we spill it in order of the zeppoli. We will definitely come back as every dish was spot on perfect. As we left we saw some people ordering very ordinary things like a Caesar salad and pepperoni pizza. Do yourself a favor and do not do that. Get their pasta and other dishes... You'll be very happy.

Recommend this place. Recommend seafood penne pasta and it was amazing! I wish the portion were a little bigger. I was very impressed with the kids menu and highly recommend the grilled chicken and veggies. The service was great too. Servers were patient and helpful!

Wow! What a gem to find while I was in Redmond, WA! I ordered some gnocchi to go and they happily accommodated my vegetarian request. Thank you. I also ordered for pick up tight at opening and they graciously accommodated that as well. This place is lovely and the staff was very friendly. Now let's talk about the food. The ricotta gnocchi were spectacular little pillows of wonder. Both sauces were amazing and sadly we ate them before even getting a pic. They were that good. I did get a pic of dessert though. I cannot wait to return.

For dessert we shared the New York style cheesecake which sadly did disappoint. The red sauce drizzled tasted artificial and the cheesecake itself was so so. My chicken parm arrived soggy with a flavorless tomato sauce, and the vegetable soup was overcooked to the point of being mushy. In speaking with friends who dine here more often, the consensus seems to be that while the menu is extensive, you have to be very selective with what you order. However, if a restaurant chooses to offer a large menu, the quality should be consistent across the board. Given how poorly these staples were executed, I won't be returning.

Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but it was Valentine's Day, so totally understandable given how busy Italian spots get. Parking was pretty convenient with spaces both in front and behind the restaurant, and if those are full, it's close to the Totem Lake area so there are other options nearby. The ambiance was definitely unique--lots of mannequins, motorcycles, and a sort of roadshow vibe. It felt fun, a little quirky, and different from your typical Italian restaurant. Service was good overall, especially considering how busy it was. Our server was attentive enough and kept things moving smoothly. We started with bread and butter--nothing particularly special, but still enjoyable. The garlic herb compound butter oddly felt nostalgic and reminded me of childhood. For appetizers, we got the meatballs, which were hearty and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the seafood pasta in a wine cream sauce and really enjoyed it. There was a good amount of seafood--not super crab-heavy, but enough to get a few nice bites--and the sauce itself was light and well-balanced. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which he said was good but leaned a bit on the bland side. Overall, it feels like a solid neighborhood Italian spot. Definitely a place we'd come back to when we're in the area.

Carbonara (4.5/5): Definitely the best of their pasta options. Super crunchy bits of guanciale with a super creamy, cheesy sauce. Thick and satisfying, especially with their bucatini if that's available. Polpette and Ragu (3.75/5): Tried these a couple times and they aren't bad, but don't blow my mind. The creamier options are just much richer and the tomato sauces are just a bit standard. Porchetta Sandwich (2/5): The sandwich is not good. Stick to the pasta. The fillings were cold, which was surprising, and while I actually quite liked the eggplant and green chimichurri-esque sauce, the focaccia is a crime. Insanely dry and not fluffy. Tiramisu (4.25/5): Actually, super delicious and comes in an adorable little mug. Not overly sweet, great light cream and melt in your mouth sponge, with a great balance of flavors.

Super tender (without losing texture), especially the tentacles, and the olives were so soft they almost just melt in your mouth. The sauce was so good we basically wiped the plate clean with bread without even thinking. The porcini risotto was fascinating. First bite had me wondering if it was a little to salty, and then it just... opened up. Turned into this really nice earthy, savory, slightly sweet thing. Kept getting better the more I ate. The seafood pasta carried that same sense of layering. It's not just "seafood flavor," but a combination of natural sweetness, umami, and brightness that made each bite feel complete. Our waitress Jennifer was super friendly and made the whole experience really easy and comfortable. We chatted with the owner, Michele, who mentioned he ran restaurants in Italy for 23 years, which honestly explains a lot. He suggested swapping our Aperol Spritz for a Campari version so it wouldn't be too sweet, and he was absolutely right. It paired beautifully with the food and kept everything feeling clean and balanced. Honestly, we're a bit spoiled when it comes to cocktails (we spend way too much time at Kro Bar), but even then we both felt their drinks had real thought and intention behind them. We ended the meal with limoncello, which felt like the perfect reset.

My friend and myself walked in and asked her for a table at the host stand. She asked if we had a reservation and I said no, and she immediately acted strangely and almost in a defensive way, and gave some strange glaring kind of look. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the moment and just had a couple of tables. I was very surprised of her reaction. We were kind of confused by this, and then we were seated and had dinner and then had some strange interactions with her in the restaurant during this time. She continued to give glaring looks and acted in an angry and reluctant way if we asked for anything such as a water refill. It's been months since that night, but we haven't forgotten it. Then we decided to give the restaurant another chance recently, and she was working, and we were seated at a table by another person, but she followed us to the table while we were being seated , and she then grabbed the tablecloth from the table next to where we were being seated, and she pulled the it off quickly and effectively whipped me with the tablecloth. She didn't seem to notice as she stormed off. I got the worst feeling about being there after that and we were debating whether to just leave. She was not the one who waited on us, but she proceeded to come back into the area of where we are seated and never smile, or look at us, but do things with the items on the table next to us in a strange way. It almost seems like she was listening to us talk. My friend and I had a horribly weird vibe which I've never experienced before by a service person at a restaurant. We both agreed we'd probably not return there which is unfortunate. We love the location and the food. I would suggest to the owners to reevaluate who has customer facing roles in your restaurant. It's a hospitality/service-oriented business. Treating friendly and paying customers like they're an enemy is not the best approach.

This restaurant has been well received for both business dinners and personal dinners. They are old school charming Italian (not to be confused with American Italian). The service is often warm and charming. The restaurant is painted with warm tones and artworks of villas. Business partners from foreign countries often find this restaurant adorable. The menu has some hits-and-misses, but we have settled on our favorites by now. My hubby orders their lasagna as his favorite; he often orders it early since it's a longer time to cook. I recently visited with girlfriends, so extra desserts are involved. Lol. The Food: Salmone Piccata, $32 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Fresh salmon filet, capers, lemon, garlic, white wine sauce This is my standing order - a good size piece of salmon rests on veggies with a wonderful wine sauce. It's light, it's a repeatable dish, and I don't feel guilty afterwards. My wife had never been here, and for me it had been over 10 years, so we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing. On the positive side, the bread was good, the burrata appetizer was tasty, and my Marsala chicken wasn't too bad. However, my wife's Linguine Tutta Mare was not good at all. The mussels tasted completely off and had a bad smell. I tried them myself and they were fishy, not how mussels are supposed to taste. We told our waiter, and he kind of brushed it off, saying they get their seafood in daily and that mussels can sometimes be "that way." He gave no apology and no real acknowledgment to the issue, but just cleared our plates and walked away. To top it all off, they were out of the Panna Cotta, which was the dessert I'd been looking forward to. The other options didn't appeal to us as much, but we settled for them anyway. Afterwards, we still felt a little hungry. For our first lunch date in a while, this was a real letdown. Definitely not worth $35 per person.
