I had the best experience at Blu Rayne! I went in with some idea of what I wanted, but wasn't totally set on anything. Alexa pulled dresses for me to try in styles I never thought I'd like and I fell in love with them. It's true that you don't know what you like until you try it on! The experience was personalized and fun, and after trying on (only) 7 dresses I said yes! I'd recommend Blu Rayne to anyone looking for any style. Just wanted to add an update since I went through the alterations process, and my wedding has now happened and I got my photos back. Melida, who does the alterations, was wonderful. She did a fantastic job taking in my dress and doing quite a bit of alteration on my mother's dress since she is very petite. She is incredibly sweet and helpful, and both our dresses looked perfect on the day. She also did a beautiful job with my bustle, which I was worried about since there was a lot of fabric to deal with in the back. Overall I was SO happy with my experience at Blu Rayne. Every time we were there, every single person working there was welcoming, kind and helpful. I was very happy with my dress, which I think looked beautiful and I got many compliments on. My mother's MOB dress also looked beautiful. read more

She allowed myself and guests to give our opinions and did not rush me. Her system of elimination helped me narrow it down to the right dress. After saying yes to the dress, the whole team made me feel so special and confident in my decision. The salon was clean and felt private without being insanely expensive. I am so so happy for this place !! My mom & I came here. We didn't make an appointment as we were passing and decided to take a look. We walked in seeing a mirror of names who made appointments and my stomach dropped. I walked in asking "do I need an appointment" and the woman said yes, however we can still help you. We browsed and I tried on dresses that I envisioned myself in, mermaid dress with lots of sparkles !! The owner Carrie came in and suggested I tried on a dress .... On the hanger I knew it wasn't my type. I tried on the dress and started crying. I found it. It still had the sparkles I wanted but plain on the bottom. I SAID YES TO MY DRESS !!! Forever grateful for Carrie for welcoming me in and showing me something different. The woman (forgive me I forgot her name) who did my fittings is also the seamstress ... absolutely amazing. The sweetest woman we bonded like I knew her for years !! We ended the night having a champagne toast that was peach flavored ! Very delicious and taking a boomerang in front of their back drop ! I will cherish the moments I had before closing with these woman. Two places we found on a whim - Blu rayne & Butterfields we're I'm hosting my wedding. 10/10 experience buying a bridal gown at Blu Rayne Bridal Boutique. I set up an appointment, not expecting to find THE DRESS. Mae was my consultant and she was absolutely amazing. Carrie (the owner) dropped in during my appointment to offer guidance and loved the dress I picked. My consultant, Mae, I cannot say enough good things. She *heard* me when I said what I wanted - the aesthetic, the neckline, shape, what features to accentuate, the budget. There was no appointment following mine so she let my appointment spill over, to continue our search for the perfect dress. With every dress she heard the critiques and adjusted for the next few dresses she pulled. She was amazingly supportive - providing guidance, gentle critiques, and amazing knowledge of her inventory to know what dress to pull next. I asked to try certain silhouettes and skirt materials - she totally delivered (even if it didn't look good on me lol). She was honest, without being harsh, about what dresses looked good on me, or were less flattering. We narrowed down THE dress, after trying on several dresses - and she listened to what I liked and disliked about every one. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a bridal consultant who knows their inventory, but also what alteration options are available, colors, silhouette changes, etc. I tried my dress on in champagne color, and frankly, would not have bought it as is. Mae knew it was offered in ivory, and took out fabric in ivory for me to put under the lace to see the color difference - to imagine in real time what it would look like. It made a world of difference, to see the dress as it could be when ordered. Mae was extremely respective of the budget I set. If she showed me a dress over budget, she told me - and when I say over budget, it was $200 over the budget, not $1,000. And she mentioned it before I tried it on. She never once tried to push me over budget, or push me towards a dress I wasn't comfortable with. My dress & veil actually came in within a month, significantly ahead of the timeline. Mae was there to help me try on my dream dress, show me how to store it, answer all of my questions. Mae helped me find my dream dress and I can't thank her enough! I went here to shop for my wedding dress and I had an upgraded appointment. I had a great time the Bridal attended was so helpful. I fell in love with a dress there but I had planned a whole day of dress shopping and had an appointment at a second bridal salon. as soon as I said I wanted to put the order on hold the vibes completely changed telling me to cancel the other appointment or leave a non refundable deposit with them. I loved that dress so much and had such a great time throughout the entire appointment. I chose Blu Rayne for my bridesmaids dresses. My mother fell in love with her gown from there. Instead of going to Bridal Reflections- which the dress was more expensive at Bridal reflections- I chose Blu Rayne. It was also closer to home. What a terrible choice. My mother's gown alone was about $ 1,000 My bridesmaids each was 200$ ( 6 in total ) For the amount of money we spent there - the quality of service we should have been provided with should of been impeccable. I have a few out of town bridesmaids so they called in their measurements in February. Two weeks later they call me and say they still haven't placed the order because my out of town bridesmaids didn't sign the receipt- a little bizarre that they tell me two weeks later- knowing the dresses would take up to six months to arrive. They called me very rudely explaining this.. did not even contact them directly. After six months of waiting I booked an appointment to try the girls dresses on. One sleeves were uneven, one didn't fit- they didn't even come in to ask if everything was going okay - just to say you have a remaining balance. My junior bridesmaids was to be shipped to her - they waited about a week to do that- only after my aunt called asking where the dress was. The dress alterations cost 200$ because they ordered her the wrong size. Blu Rayne did try and work with my mom to get the dress fixed for my sister but it wound up costing her another $200. An employee at Blu Rayne told my sister to stop eating so much and maybe the dress would fit her. Are you kidding me? My sister was crying in the store. That is truly disgusting and I hope no one else has to ever hear those words- especially someone you are paying! I probably would of been better at David's Bridal. You get two stars because my mom loved her dress and only two dresses had any issues. The owner Carrie decided to personally message me- letting me know she takes pride in her brides -where she was the one who said to my sister as she was charging her for her for the extra alterations- laughing " no more bread until the wedding " My sister did not get measured there- but have some respect for a paying customer. read more

Please be aware of this: The seamstress who is the only one who does alterations for Blu Ray is NOT a salaried employee. She is an independent contractor, and the owner is literally at her mercy. An alteration of a wedding gown is THE most crucial step of the entire process. The seamstress is not only unpleasant, but will only do what SHE wants to do to your gown and not a stitch more. It won't matter whether you're unhappy, if you beg, plead or (in my case) cry to have THE most important dress you will ever wear to your liking. It's her way or NO WAY. LITERALLY. It destroyed what should have been the most exciting day before the wedding, with an owner who just shrugged her shoulders after all the cajoling in the world didn't work, terrified of the possibility of being without a seamstress that costs her not one dollar in salary. Update: Carrie the owner has just replied that they have more than one seamstress. My reply, "are they salaried or Independents who work for others as well?". Until they work for YOU and only you, AS SALARIED EMPLOYEES, will you be in charge of the most important part of your business. You can buy a dress or gown anywhere; THE most crucial part of a wedding gown business is a professional and proper fitting that leaves the bride feeling taken care of properly and professionally. read more

She brought us to look at bridesmaids dresses (we were there for MOTG dresses) and we didn't have an appointment for bridesmaids dresses and the other woman who was working was rude and nasty. And even brought our lady aside to tell us we couldn't sit down at the desk. It was impersonal and uncomfortable. When we complained and the owner Carrie did not care or even pretend to. Horrendous experience! Shopping for a wedding dress should always be a positive experience and a large part of that experience depends upon the bridal shop. Imagining arriving with a group and being greeted by a saleswoman that starts the conversation by telling us that our group is too large to come in all together (never mentioned during any of the multiple conversations with staff prior to the appointment) , that we would have to rotate, and that if more than 3 people were coming with the bride we should have "rented" out the whole shop. No "hello", no "great to have you here"...just a lecture! Everything got worse after that. The entire staff was extremely rude. The saleswoman assigned to us made negative comments about some of the dresses. And then there was the "hard sell". When the bride showed some interest in a dress she kept pressuring her to love it. After informing the manager about our experience, she made it all about her and how upset she was to hear that. No apologizes, nothing! Highly recommend going somewhere else! read more

My girlfriend went in looking for a dress and found something she liked but wasn't absolutely set on. She said she wanted the dress so she had something because the wedding is quickly approaching and she is planning everything herself. She ended up ordering it but then went back the next day to cancel within the allotted 24 hours they gave her to do so because she found her "the one" dress and they gave her a credit for $750 and said that she had a year to use it. When she got the credit it was never explained that it would only be applied to bridal. She went back and found a dress she loved for her reception but because it was a prom dress it wouldn't be able to be applied. The woman that helped her was un accommodating and honestly a bit rude. And I don't get how you get a credit back and it's only for bridal and not the entire store like someone is going to get married twice in a year or something? If so that should have been explicitly explained before the dress was ordered. It's pretty asinine to be honest and an easy way to cheat customers out of their hard earned money. This place is full of a bunch of crooks DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! read more

Eileen in the Bridemaid's dept waked us through all the books, all the samples and made each one of our girls feel incredible. Felt like I was at a car dealership. The person I was dealing with made it seem like I had to buy the dress that day! Granted my wedding is a little over 6 months away, however I went to a couple other bridal boutiques and they never made me feel anything like this. Someone else that worked at the store suggested another dress for me that they didn't have in stock and the lady I was dealing with told me she would be right back and then came back and said nope that dress isn't an option. Had a great experience here on Saturday! Carrie had been helping me via email with bridesmaids dresses for a wedding that I am in this Fall. We were treated amazingly in the store and the selection was wonderful. I think I tried on about 10+ dresses from a certain brand that I am picking from via the bride. Everyone was so helpful and they just have SO MANY DRESSES. All the other stores I went to were very pushy and didn't have as great of a selection. Carrie treated me with respect and wasn't just trying to make a sale - she is getting my business for sure! I really wanted to give 5 stars on the sole purpose I loved my dress however there were a few things that I didn't like during my visits to blu rayne. I feel like I was talked into buying a larger dress size then what I had really needed and I needed major alterations. Their alterations lady does not work for the Company and takes My dress to her home rather then having it done on site. Although my dress ended up being altered pretty well it still felt loose and it couldn't be take in anymore. the seamstress was quite pushy and initially only wanted to give me one fitting and have my dress picked up at the 2nd fitting until the owner got involved and the story changed. They also tried to tell me I owed a higher price for alterations bc their prices went up. I voiced my opinion serval times on how unhappy I was bc i felt my dress was huge and from that day forward they weren't friendly upon my returns. The outside of this place is very misleading; it does not look like a wedding dress place and it was great inside. We went to try on bridesmaids dresses and ended up getting all 3 dresses here. Cary helped us and she was awesome! We knew we wanted mori Lee bridesmaids dresses so she pulled out the book and we gave so many options and she got all the dresses for us. I am a November 2020 bride (hopefully haha), I only wanted to go to one place and just get it over with honestly, i was very uncomfortable wedding dress shopping probably because I was so overwhelmed with having no idea what I wanted. I felt very comfortable at Blu Rayne, the person that helped me with my dresses was very helpful and kept bringing me a bunch of different kinds. I almost gave up hope but the last dress she bought me which i wouldn't have necessarily picked out myself was the one, she showed me the best she could the dress in the other color that I would be getting and that was it. But the main reason for my great review is when my dress came in it was right during Covid, and I am a nurse so i was able to have them hold it longer. When they called me again a month later I had to pick it up because I'm sure they were having tons of dresses delivered and were running out of room. Maryann called me and originally wanted me to take the dress home to try it on but I don't have anyone that lives near me to help me except my fiancé, so she was great, we masked and gloved and she helped me put it on to make sure it was ok! The place itself is beautiful and the staff appeared to be wonderful...UNTIL I told them I was there to try on and get measurements. The bride would like us to order with a group rate online, so I just needed to try them on. As soon as I mentioned that, the woman who was escorting me said "oh we charge a fee for that, just keep going that way down the stairs, there's people down there". End of polite customer service. I get down there and tell them the exact same thing and I ask how much they charge for the measurements fee. The woman looks at the other woman and says "oh you're not buying it here; we charge $25". After telling them that I would be going to the other place that the bride suggested because they only charge $10, the woman shrugged her shoulders and said "oh well fine" and that was the end of that. Absolutely disgraceful horrible customer service because they weren't going to make money. Needless to say, I'll be going to the other place that has already kindly serviced some of the other bridesmaids. Greed is a helluva drug! read more

Comming here for the first time I new right away that this would be the place I "say yes to the dress" ! Not only did I say yes to the dress so did my bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone that works there make you feel so special and helps make your specials day perfect. Wonderful bridal salon. Great selection of dresses and gowns I did not see in other salons. Found a beautiful and very unique mother of bride gown. Helene, my sales woman was very accommodating and helpful. I must have tried on 10 gowns at least 3 times and she was very patient and positive. I did not feel rushed or pressured and it mAde what could have been an anxiety filled hour very pleasant. Helene also took pictures of each gown so I could show my daughter. I had met the owner at a bridal expo and she seemed fabulous. I booked my appoiment got an Email with a survey to fill out all your questions like budget, skirt style, neckline etc. and I though wow this is great. All the basics covered! Well the day of my appoiment was a different story. I met my bridal attident and all she did was show me what she had in in larger sizes ( me being a plus size woman) and all in lace (which I had said to her and in my survey I didn't want lace) after a few try's of these dresses. I started to give up and get upset. My bridesmaids that came with me and started to look at some dresses And the sales women said to the girls "I don't even know her budget." (Clearly she didn't even take a look at all the questions that I filled out or even bother to ask.) the girls graves a few dresses but by that time I felt so defeated at that moment I got dresses and left. I know that day was busy but I didn't feel special. Frankly I felt like a bother. Like I was her last appointment and she just wanted to go home. This place was just not for me.
