Best Asian fusion food!! We were visiting from out of town and ordered a lot of dishes cause we can and they were all great! Service was smooth too no issues at all. First time trying here , so good !! I wanted to try sushi and they did not disappoint. We had a sampler appetizer that was a perfect sampling. Then I got the Philly maki and spicy lobster maki - so good. My husband got Kung pao beef which he enjoyed. Food is fresh and cooked to order. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching them make sushi. BEST...SUSHI...EVER! I cannot describe how amazing the food and the service is in Blu Karma. The staff is always outstanding in their service, and everything on the menu is amazing. I highly recommend this place for sushi lovers to picky eaters, because everything on the menu is great. My favorite thing to order is the tom yum soup and the Vietnamese summer roll. The Vietnamese summer roll is great for anyone, but be warned that the tom yum soup is out of this world, yet very spicy. My mom's favorite sushi is the lady in red. She's usually a simple spicy tuna girl but this is her and my dad's absolute favorite. My brother is 8, and a bit more picky. He doesn't like sushi. What he absolutely loves is the house fried rice. It is the BEST fried rice you will ever try. Totally deserves 5 stars. My favorite restaurant of all time. We love Blu karma!!! read more

This review is over due. I went here about a 3 months ago and had such wonderful food and drinks! We stuck with sushi and maki I had a mai tai and my friend had hot sake. Im not a fan of sake but she loved hers. My mai tai was huge and served in a mason jar. Needless to say I only had one. What you should know about Blu Karma beyond the amazing food is that parking is limited and the building was previously a fast food place you can tell me the roof. lol . not that it really matters but know you can find it a little easier. Blue karma elevated my raw fish game. They have an appetizer that is just raw fish, about 4 different kinds, flavored differently if at all. There was not rice served with it and it was freaking delicious. I have thought about this dish a couple of times since I had it. We also ordered the dragon roll, spicy but not too, and large. We sat at the tiny bar area which some might find odd but I found it perfect for two friends to catch up on each others lives and enjoy excellent food and drink! read more

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Ordered based on yelp reviews, and it was a solid 3. Sushi is probably a 4--but all the noodle and rice dishes were in the 2 range. My suggestion is stick with the sushi. Bigger roles, and fish is fresh. Don't bother with the other dishes. If you want that, go somewhere else. read more

Loved it. The lunch deals/steals are 7 days a week until 3:00. Food was excellent and prepared perfectly. We had 3 different types of Maki and they were all delicious. Very very dark. Type of place you go if you don't want anyone knowing who your with. Mediocre sushi and a staff that screamed at each other for almost an hour in their native language made me very uncomfortable. It was very loud and felt hostile. Will not return. Love this place! Excellent food, excellent service, classy. The owners and staff are very pleasant people and are super friendly and very hard working. I have had the Pad Thai several times, the rice bowl, General Guau(sp) Chicken, Lo Meim and crispy duck, all have been excellent. They serve Thai food, Chinese and Sushi. Been wanting to try Blu Karma so we did and was pleasantly surprised. Small dining room with sushi bar but very tastefully decorated. Sushi was decent as were the drinks and dinner specials. I had snow mountain maki roll and torched scallop with lobster maki. Wife had a scallop dish that was the special and our drinks were mango Mai tais. Everything was done well and prompt. I wanted to put in a review for the food here. First the sushi roll, the Lady Roll something, it was ok. Honestly, if was filling but the sauce they used here was a bit sweet and kinda heavy. Now for the alligator, it was a tough roll to eat since they put a tough piece of tempura inside. Didn't expect it. But it seems like they put the same heavy sauce on the Alligator Roll as the Lady Roll. We ordered other things as well - Chinese and Vietnamese Mango Salad and I don't think the place hit the spot. So ultimately it took 2 hours to get our order. The food is good but clearly there are major management issues to handle the busy holiday rush. We were also missing the vegetable fried rice from our order which we paid for. The manager barely apologized and basically said "it is a holiday..what do you expect?" I guess I would expect better management. Pre orders should be prioritized over last minute orders and no one should have to wait 2 hours for an order placed a week before. Found this place on Yelp when we were looking for dinner places when staying in Beverly. The reviews were good so we decided to give it a try. Also they were offering a check in offer at the time for a free appetizer so that also helped our decision. The parking lot is small so I saw many people were parking across the street in the Walgreens parking lot. The building itself is small, but intimate. We were seated immediately once we arrived but I imagine sometimes you might have to wait for a table so be prepared for that as it seems to be a very popular spot. Once seated our waitress came right over and got our drink order. She was very friendly and nice. Service was quick and friendly. It is a small place but it seems they really turn tables over quickly but they don't push you out. The servers seemed to know many of the people personally as they greeted everyone so warmly. Our food came fairly quickly and was delicious. The spicy tuna was just spicy enough. I had ordered a side of shrimp fried rice thinking it was a side when it's an actual meal. The portions are generous. Usually with shrimp fried rice you get a couple pieces of shrimp, they put more than that in the friend rice which was a nice surprise. I ended up having to take it home, and when I ate it the next day it was still very good. Our waitress was so friendly and nice. If you are in the area definitely check it out. I am so disappointed in this place. In my previous reviews, I raved about this place because the food is good and the service at that time, was also good. However, things have changed. I was at a friend's house in Danvers recently, a bunch of us get together and play cards on Sundays. I was hungry during the game so I ordered from Bu Karma, via the foodler app. It is important to mention that my friend lives less than 5 minutes (driving) from Blu Karma. The food came at the appointed time. I opened my food, and ate my sushi frst, ate some wings, then I opened the shumai, whuch I specifically requested an additional sauce for, only to find I had no sauce at all. I called Blu Karma because I figured since they made the mistake and they were less than 5 minutes away, they would gladly bring me the two sauces that I requested and they forgot to pack. Lol.. was I wrong! The woman who answered the phone was argumentative to begin with, I had to explain the situation three times. Then she told me she needed to put me on hold because the manager would have to speak to me and deal with the issue. I was put on hold for 8 minutes and and still no manager. Due to her terrible attitude, I suspected that she put me on hold, hoping that I would give up and hang up so I hung up and called back. I got Ms. Personality again, I explained that she put me on hold and the manager never came. She snapped at me and said that the manager was busy. Now, it had been approximately 12 to 15 minutes, between explaining my situation three times previously, the 8 minutes I was put on hold, the time to redial their number and now the earful I was getting from Ms. Personality. I was put on hold again, then I was hung up on...lol.. I couldn't believe it. I called back again. This time another woman picked up and said that she was the manager. I told her how rude the first woman was, how I was placed on hold for 8 minutes, hung up on and then I explained the lack of sauce issue. She said she knows there was no sauce added to the order because she was present at the packing up of the order. Ok? I told her I needed the sauce and now the shumai was cold so I wanted a another shumai brought to me along with the sauces. I told her I had not eaten any of the now, stone cold shumai. She said no, she would not have the driver bring me another shumai because the meal was just delivered. What? I had eaten the other things I ordered before the shumai so that took approximately 15 to 20 inutes, 15 minutes wasted on the phone previously and now another 5 minutes with the manager. The shumai had been sitting for approximately 35 minutes since delivery and they made the mistake and she wouldn't replace it with a warmer shumai? Btw, Shumai does not taste the same microwaved. The food is still good but without the correct condiments and due to the lack of any customer service skills, even when they are clearly at fault, I will not be ordering from them again. I will take my hard earned cash elsewhere. read more
