I've had Powhatan Blossman for three years. Within the last year their rates have gone up while their customer service has gone down. When I first contracted with them they told me I could have my portable tanks filled for $5.00. I brought three tanks to their office at about 2:00 PM and was told that I would have to return in the early morning or late afternoon because no one is there to pump propane. I returned just before closing and, although I did have my tanks filled, I was told that I was not included in the $5.00 fill offer. I later called because I thought that my propane generator was leaking gas. One of the service men who responded was smoking! I visited their office to tell them that they would need to call in advance of a delivery because my driveway was gated. A few weeks later their truck was at my gate unannounced. When I started my contract I was given a military/law enforcement discount. My most recent bill, however, demanded an increase in the rental fee of $115.00. When I asked why there was such a steep raise and explained that I had been given a discounted rate the person stated, "Why would they give you a discount?" Her tone was filled with disgust rather than being a simple question. After I told her that it was for military and law enforcement she told me "We don't do that anymore." I've checked around and their per gallon fee is more than a dollar higher than others. I'm done with them. read more
