This florist and their employees were wonderful during a difficult time. My little sister had passed and I had no idea about choosing flowers. I told them the size that we wanted and her favorite flowers were Stargazer Lilies followed closely by Sunflowers. They made the most beautiful arrangement and managed to incorporate both, even though they are so vastly different. They also had some daisies which she also liked. The other arrangements that were sent from friends and family, some very far away, were very beautiful and complimented the main arrangement. Uh. This arrangement I received is a simple dozen roses. Delivered on a non holiday, Friday. The arrangement looks like a kid stuffed some flowers in with some broken baby's breath. It's pretty hard to mess up 12 red roses. But this arrangement looks sloppy and juvenile. Like maybe the whole thing spilled out in the delivery truck and they just threw the stems back in the vase. They aren't even cut evenly. Especially for the over charge for "washed roses". Wont ever order flowed from this place again. Total bummer to be presented with a careless arrangement. I've had two different flower deliveries in the last few weeks, and my friends used Blooms both times (different friends, so they didn't know about my Blooms experience.) The first delivery was a basket of flowers so diverse and so beautiful - I've never seen anything like it - with a fun "get well" balloon! You can see from the photos, there were sunflowers, pompoms, roses, berries, hot peppers, purple cabbage leaves, some sort of purple fronds, fall leaves (silk), clusters of gorgeous seed pods, mums, and all kinds of other fall decor. The second arrangement, as you can see, is the most beautiful arrangement of big, healthy and beautifully colored roses, with purple and pink clusters of flower bunches and greens. This also came with a huge birthday balloon and a box of Russel Stover chocolates. Don't use anyone else but Blooms in Edgewater. They will delight your recipient as they did me - TWICE!! read more

My brother and I decided we were doing a belated Valentine's Day for our mom who was out of town on the actual day. I called Blooms to see if they had bouquets without the vase to pick-up so we had something a little nicer than the grocery store and asked if they could add some flowers to a random pink-red bouquet to make it full. My boyfriend and I were in Annapolis Maryland for a special event for his uncle(he was making a very high rank in the army), when his step mom called and told us we would need to pick up a centerpiece for our dinner table because she would never make it with her delayed flight. So we go to the shop around 4:30, and realized quickly we had no idea what we needed (color scheme , price, etc). The ladies working there were extremely patient and helpful while we tried gathering information from the step mom(who was midflight and couldn't respond). We told the ladies we would call them around 5:00pm(they close at 6:00) and they said they would still be able to have our centerpiece ready that night. We didn't get the details for the centerpiece until 5:52pm, that's right, 8 minutes before blooms closes. I called and told the ladies, and they agreed to stay late and finish up the centerpiece. At 6:17pm, we arrived, and everything was finished and absolutely spectacular! This company went above and beyond to meet our OUTLANDISH needs and made the most amazing centerpiece for our event! I would highly recommend this company and the beautiful art they create! I cannot explain enough how over the top ecstatic I am with the product they provided. Great work ladies! I ordered a spray for my mothers casket from Blooms in December of 2018. I went to the shop as opposed to doing it online and was assisted by one of the arrangers. I had checked around at other florists in the Annapolis area prior to going to the shop and their prices were in line with other florists in the area (although I was somewhat shocked that flowers were so expensive no matter where I went). I picked a mid-level spray (price wise) based on a picture and description that was provided and with the help of the sales person who was very helpful. Ordered flowers for my 92 year old mother through Telefora who chose this local florist. The delivery person went to the wrong house (granted the neighborhood has similar addresses but a simple Google maps query would have found the correct house) so they didn't deliver them, then were closed Sunday and by Monday had still not delivered them or even called me to find correct house. I purchased some flowers for my friend's 30th birthday using 1800 Flowers.com, and their vendor was Bloom Florist. I purchased a $70 (LARGE) arrangement and used a $10 off coupon (total w/tax was $66+). My friend sent me a picture of the flowers and I was HUGELY disappointed. The arrangement was small and insignificant, further, the flower colors were wrong. I understand that if the shop doesn't have the colors advertised they may substitute, but they didn't even coordinate the colors so that they looked pretty, even presentable. I called 1800 Flowers and told them about the arrangement, they apologized and contacted Bloom Florist so that they could deliver the ordered arrangement. Bloom Florist called MY friend and asked what the problem was and they told her that they would not redeliver. So she asked that they contact me. The woman on the phone told me that the arrangement provided was "to value" and that the pictures online "were skewed" that "all of the flowers were arranged on one side for the pictures by 1800 Flowers". This really upset me, my parents owned a flower shop where I worked as a teenager and during school breaks when I was in college, and the images are NOT skewed. That was her pathetic attempt to convince me that she was not ripping me off (the arrangement delivered was worth, at best $25 - and that is because of the container!!!). After a ten minute conversation, they agreed to redeliver the arrangement on Monday, but wanted to pick up the other flowers that day (Saturday). That really sickened me, the woman said, "we need our container". I was shocked! I told her that they could have the other arrangement on Monday, when they redelivered. I wasn't trying to "keep" the other arrangement, but they didn't deliver the product that was ordered, lied about it, tried to STEAL from me, and had the nerve to ask for the flowers/container? I would NEVER recommend this place again. read more

I received flowers from my boyfriend from this place, and they were so beautiful and healthy that I demanded that he tell me where he got them. I inquired about prices because the last time I had sent flowers to my mom for mother's day I used proflowers.com, and the arrangement was awful, and I believe that the prices at Blooms are extremely fair and competitively priced. As previously said, the arrangement was beautiful, and the arrangement of a dozen roses lasted for about two and half weeks so I was super happy with them. I would recommend Blooms in a heartbeat, and plan on using them for things like Mother's Day and other flower deserving occasions. read more
