Inka was our floral designer for our wedding in May; we met her at her home in Annapolis to review what we wanted. She is a soft-spoken professional who knows her business and takes the time to ask a lot of questions about your vision for the flowers on your wedding day. We were married at a friend's house and Inka met us at the site to take a look at the space and discuss what we might need. She offered a lot of professional advice when she realized we didn't have a wedding planner; advice on things outside of the flowers. She didn't have to spend so much time on this, but she is a very kind-hearted person who genuinely cared about us and our wedding day. I collected by own milk glass vases & compotes in the years preceding the wedding and had a very definite idea of what I wanted and didn't want. I gave her info on the color palette I wanted, the types of flowers I liked and that I wanted all of my arrangements to be different from one another. She listened carefully, offered wonderful advice and arrived early on the day-of to set up. She even decorated the tables with props that we supplied. There was a miscommunication regarding whether or not this was included in the price we were quoted (very likely my fault - my mind was shot that close to the wedding) but she adjusted the price to include the set up of the props at no charge anyway. - She decorated an incredible arch for us to get married under - My bouquet was outstanding - There were tons of arrangements, all different, but all in a cohesive theme - The tablescaping she did for us was lovely All of the arrangements were lush and gorgeous - they were top notch and looked incredible. Inka was great about staying in touch with us. Even though she was making trips to Germany to see family, she returned our emails and was great about answering our questions and making sure we were comfortable with the price we were paying. She helped us find ways to stay within our comfort zone while still getting exactly what we wanted. I did not come away feeling like we were compromising or being deprived when we needed to revise the original plan to stay within budget. She was an absolute master of her trade and I very highly recommend her work.

I provided a general overview of what I was looking for--such as ceremony decor, bouquets, and reception flowers--and requested information for pricing. We did not discuss specific flower preferences or my budget. In response, Rhonda informed me that her wedding packages begin at $5,000 and, based on the services I described, she indicated that she would not be available to service my wedding. This was unexpected, especially since she had come recommended by a friend who had previously shared her cost breakdown with me. I was simply seeking more information, and never indicated what I was willing to spend. While I found her style of florals to be somewhat outdated and not the style I was looking for, I reached out based on the positive referral. However, I was disappointed by the dismissive tone I received. Given that this is a heavily word-of-mouth business, I find it difficult to understand how she can build a client base if she is so quick to dismiss potential clients based on limited interaction. Ultimately, we found another florist whose work not only aligned perfectly with our vision but also led to our wedding being featured in a magazine. I've since continued to recommend this florist to others because they treated us with professionalism, respect, and courtesy from the very start. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flowers by Donna! They absolutely outdid themselves for our daughter's wedding in downtown Annapolis. From the very first consultation, over the phone from Florida I might add, Mary truly listened to our vision and brought it to life in ways we never could have imagined. The BOUQUET!!!, centerpiece, corsages and boutonnieres were breathtaking -- lush, vibrant, and perfectly matched to our theme. Walking into the ceremony and reception felt like stepping into a dream. The flowers were fresh, artfully arranged, and full of personality -- exactly what we hoped for and more. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything looked (and smelled!). Beyond the stunning arrangements, Mary was an absolute joy to work with -- professional, organized, and genuinely passionate about her craft. She and Donna went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. If you're looking for a florist who will make your wedding day truly magical, look no further than Flowers by Donna. Their artistry and care made all the difference -- we'll be forever grateful! Thank you so so much, Diane and Woody from Florida read more

Such beautiful arrangements!! It was a wonderful experience working with Mary and Donna. I went to FbD for some centerpieces for our summer party; they far exceeded my expectations. Mary took the time to view photos of designs I liked, showed me several container options, and made sure to keep me updated on what flowers would be included. It was a great experience, and I felt confident through the whole process. The arrangements were stunning, and all our guests asked where we got them. I was happy to refer them to Donna! read more
