I was super skeptical to come after reading some reviews, but can gladly say I received amazing service. I had called to see if we could make 2 bouquets day of, which they said was possible. I ended up coming in closer to 5. An older lady came up and helped. She said to pick the flowers I liked - she'd let me know if it's in my price range (i wanted to spend around $50), any recommendations, and just there to pick her brain. I picked flowers for 2 bouquets, which she wrapped up so beautiful! In total for these two bouquets, i spent $56. I think that is definitely worth it. I can also say they let me in on a secret - flowers are 50% off on Fridays! I would definitely come here to support locally and make your own bouquet for a special someone. read more

Used this place for family funeral and the flowers looked terrible. Some were half dead upon arrival, 4 of the 6 arrangements we rdered came without cards from the wife, son, daughter and grandson. When we arrived the next morning a lot of the flowers were dead and drooping. It was terrible. With the amount of money that flowers cost you expect to have a card with who they are from, but they sent them with blank cards...the funeral home has blank cards. I will definitely be getting the word out about this place. If you want something nice, please steer clear or you will be disappointed. read more

My husband ordered flowers for Valentines days for my daughter and I. Receiving flowers from Rainbow Florist & Delectables has been the most disappointing of all my floral arrangements. He ordered long stemmed red roses for both bouquets and our bouquets included one pink rose each and included common fillers. So much for paying attention to details, they spelt my name incorrect and wrote happy birthday on my daughters card. My husband called regarding the issue and they exchanged the bouquets with roses. Still disappointed at this point since all the roses were completely wide opened so not sure how long they'll last. read more

I have been doing business here for years and today will be the last time I ever come here. Usually I go in person and speak to one of the employees about how much my budget is, who's it for, and what I would like. This time everything was going as per usual but the employee I met did not seem to want my business. The flower arrangements I've placed and received were incredible for the price in the past. This time this employee just started picking the smallest flowers for 40 dollars. I've paid about the same in the past and I got a lot more and an actual arrangements and not some small trimmings. I would have even increased my budget if the employee actually worked with me. read more

Extremely disappointed with the flowers I received for Valentine's Day that I gifted my wife. Upon arrival as I got my flowers which I only got a wrap this time because I did not need a vase, I can see someone get the from off the floor in the store which was weird but I just ignored it. However when I usually come I received them from out of the humidifier I believe. But I'm saying all of this to inform you that I received horrible roses which to me started dying two days after I received, the flowers never even bloomed, I compared them to some flowers that were brought from Harris Teeter & I must say Harris Teeter have way better flowers than my local florist. They bloomed way better & still look fresh in comparison. Also I paid almost $100 ($90) for something to die in two days I feel completely robbed & like I never want to buy anything from them again. read more

Extremely annoyed!! Valentines day comes with its share of chaos especially on the day of as the last minute folks scramble in to pick up something. You do this EVERY year. Why do the staff appear flustered like this is unexpected traffic. I ordered my arrangement over a week in advance to make sure I avoided the rush. The lady took a picture because I asked her to do so to make certain the arrangement on the day of came close to what I was expecting. I was very specific about the greenery to include in the arrangement as well. What's the point of doing all that if none of it matters when your arrangement is being put together. I waited on the day of as folks who ordered same day picked up theirs and left the store. Mine was "missing" as it always is so another lady is putting it together again with no regard to any of the specs provided. No surprise the flowers come out looking a mess. This is not an issue on inventory, I see new arrangements being put together right in front of me. There's always something every year with these folks and I blame myself for coming back each year due to the convenience of the location and trying to patronize a local business. This was the last straw! read more

I recently had hand surgery and a friend of mine sent me a bouquet of flowers and chocolates I am not a fan of regular chocolate but I contacted them about receiving white chocolate and they decided to give me chocolate to make up for the box of truffles that were sent to me earlier. I really appreciate it. The young lady on the phone was kind and professional. They really got the extra mile to satisfy their customers and I certainly will refer them to others. read more

I hired this company for my March 2018 wedding. I had two in-person consultations in which my vision was discussed in great detail along with pictures. I was assured that my vision could be executed by the florist. I was notified two weeks before my wedding that there were issues with the flowers for my bouquet (peonies) due to the season, but assured that I would be satisfied with the alternative choice. I was highly disappointed when I received my bouquet on the day of my wedding! It was soooo much smaller than discussed and the flowers looked wilted. Also, I was promised a free bouquet to toss at my wedding, but never received it. Therefore i was forced to toss one of my bridesmaids' bouquets. :( read more

Must be new owners, because previously - you were able to purchase flowers half priced, any day of the week (except for during a holiday). Now, you can only purchase at half the cost Mon. - Fri., from 4PM-5:30PM. A time-frame when most are at work or driving home from work. It's Saturday, I picked out my flowers and then, was informed of this new rule. The great thing about this particular florist, was that it allowed you to gift yourself with something truly beautiful, at an affordable price. A huge disappointment, indeed. read more

I have used this florist for many years with great results but recently was embarrassed with the flower arrangement delivered to a funeral viewing. I had ordered the same arrangement before paying extra for the deluxe and was happy but this time it looked nothing like the previous flowers. I took a picture so they could see why I was upset. I called and found out the order was set to another florist that they had not used before evidently even though I had ordered several days in advance they were to busy to fill the order and "farmed" it out. She said she would look into and get back to me but have not heard anything. It is to late to save face with the family now but I wish they had offered to send something else to the home. read more

This is one of the nicer florists and gift shops around. Located right on Main Street in the Historic part of Laurel, this florist has a little bit of everything. It has a great variety of flowers and, if you can order in advance, they can get almost anything you want. It also has a pretty nice gift store. Cute little gift items that are both appropriate and unusual. It also has a nice variety of chocolates and other sweets if you want to sweep your honey off her feet. I've been in here several times to get flowers for a variety of occasions and I've never been disappointed. read more

I bought my bridal bouquet from this shop. My wedding was low key, so I wanted something unexpensive but cute and of quality. That's what I got. They had elaborated beautiful (and pricey) options, that I decided not to use. Instead the florist worked with me to create a little bouquet, we decided the kind of flowers and ribbons we wanted and were able to order it 10 days before my wedding day for a reasonable price. My now husband picked it up that morning, when I saw it I was delighted. It was simple and beautiful! ...The perfect complement for my cute dress. As I mentioned, we picked it up, so I wouldn't know about their delivery service. read more

Just received a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my birthday delivered to my office! I can't speak to the price or the ease of ordering ( I'll have to ask mom and dad) but they were delivered on the correct day and to the right office! They smell wonderful and look fresh and bright. It's hard to tell from the picture but the vase has cute birthday candles painted on frosted glass. read more

I make sure to use rainbow florist for every occasion and recommend them to all my friends and family. I have used them for my 3 proms and my dad funeral, I also plan on using them for my wedding. My fathers funeral was covered in tulips which was his favorite flower, they were all very colorful and lively. I have never received a bad order from them and they are very easy to work with. I love using them because it is supporting small and local businesses. read more

Excellent job and timely delivery. It even looked better than the picture in the book ! I decided against an internet purchase after I read some reviews. I sent flowers to my mother in law, paid to the premium upgrade to the bouquet and was very disappointed in the difference of the photo shown on the website and what was delivered. We used Rainbow for a wedding which was very short notice (four days). We had a phone consult and sent a photo of what we wanted for the brides bouquet. We had a second call to order table centerpieces. We picked up the flowers on the day of the wedding and were very delighted with the quality and the design. The centerpieces matched the brides bouquet perfectly. Many of our guests commented on how lovely they looked. We were very pleased with Rainbow's professionalism and response especially with such short notice. read more

The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because I have to in order to write this review. I placed an order for sympathy flowers on last Fri. Flowers could not be delivered because no one was home. I called and arranged for the receiver to pick up the flowers the following day (Sat). Flowers were picked up. Fine. On Mon we check our account and there were THREE pending transactions for Rainbow Florist, 2 for $116.90, and 1 for $105.95, a totally different amount. Called, spoke with Judy, she says they only put through the one for $116.90 and if there was a second one I'd have to take it up with my bank! So I go to my bank, and sure enough there were 3 charges to my account. So although they were pending charges, the money was not available to me... On Wed we received a credit back into our account for $116.90. Still waiting on the release of the $105.95. Called Judy today to let her know it was still pending, and she gets nasty with me, saying they never put through a charge for 105.95. Now I'm REALLY pissed! The $105 charge occurred when the receivers picked up the arrangements and another employee correctly removed the delivery fee, however, she did not remove the $116 originally charged. Then some other bright employee goes back in and puts the card through again because there had been an attempted delivery. All of which I had to figure out because according to Judy nothing was done wrong on their end... So, here it is now Thurs, almost a week later... And this issue remains unresolved. I had no intention of writing a poor review until Judy became rude and nasty today, without once ever saying I'm so sorry, we made a mistake and we will take care of it! It wasn't until I told her I am hanging up and calling Corp to deal with them directly, did she say all of the above... Customer service is everything to me. Never again. read more

Bad ! Bad ! Experience .... Very unprofessional ! They did not follow the "typed" instruction when order was placed on-line. I directed them to place card in a "SEALED" envelope for privacy reasons of course, well the card was read by the entire office &!^@#*(%)! When I place my order and made payment, I created a contract with Rainbow Florist in which they "did not" perform. I would NOT recommend this Florist, as they would place $$ over Customer Satisfaction and their word to deliver what you paid for. read more

This store has a very good variety of fresh, cut flowers available, all at extremely reasonable prices. The store also has flower arrangements, vases, ribbons, chocolates and about anything you'd need from a florist. The staff are friendly and helpful. No more! When I was growing up, my mother always used Rainbow Florist, so when I have sent her flowers, I have always ordered from this florist, and I thought I was getting a fair deal. I'm not there to see the flowers (as is most often the case with people who order flowers for delivery, right!) - but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and trusted that they delivered on their promises. I always order the upgrade of either "deluxe" or "premium". Since my mother has a smart phone now, she sends me a picture of her flowers. Well, thank you technology! Now I see what they are sending for my money and it's junk. For Rainbow, it's 3 strikes and they're out. I was willing to overlook a case of human error, but 3 errors in a row is not an error, but a new lower quality way of doing business. The bouquets my mother has received for the past 3 orders have been "okay" - certainly not "deluxe" or "premium" (for which I paid!) The last order, was the last straw. It was about $100 - and the bouquet looked like something I could have picked up at the grocery store. They may do alright when you're there to watch over them and ensure quality, but Rainbow can clearly not be trusted to deliver what they advertise. When it comes to flowers as gifts, it's critical that you can trust your florist to deliver what you order! My mother doesn't know that I paid $100 for her crappy flowers - but if she did, she would certainly have been appalled. I will definitely choose a new florist next time around. read more
