I regret doing business with 73 Daisies Florist. On 2/11, I ordered the "Deluxe Gorgeous Best Seller Premium Designer's Choice" arrangement, a mylar balloon, and a small teddy bear via PayPal. However, the emailed receipt listed a different arrangement--"Valentine's Designer's Choice In A Vase" and a different price. On top of that, they "assumed" I wanted a Valentine's Day balloon just because the holiday was the next day. I believe that due to the holiday, custom arrangements were not being offered, only designers' choice. This is for YOU, the owner: When I tried to address my concerns, you continuously interrupted me, forcing me to shout, "Are you going to let me finish speaking?!" And before you "try" to make this appear that "the customer was already irate", let me be clear that I was very calm at the onset of my call. Instead of taking accountability, you made several excuses and only offered a pathetic $8 refund for the balloon. When I pointed out that the flower arrangement looked off-kilter and skimpy for the price, you dismissed my concerns, saying, "It's the designer's choice." I also tipped the florist, making this even more frustrating. I want my tip back too! You need to work on your communication skills and actually making things right with customers instead of talking over them and offering weak refunds. I am not new to ordering flowers. The $100+ price I paid for your flowers did not align with my expectations. I do NOT recommend this florist. read more

Their staff expressed so much confidence that I would love the flowers I ordered, I ended up buying a balloon and a box of chocolates as well. I feel like as a man, I just want to "get" what we pay for in flowers meaning, I don't want to see gaps, and I want to make it look like items were bought from the local store and tossed in a vase. 73 daisies is now my go to spot. Awesome!!!! I had a terrible experience with a florist sponsored by Teleflora so I decided to do some research on other local florist. I stopped in and was greeted and told the young lady I needed flowers for that day and she had them ready within 20min. She also asked for my budget. Not only did she stay within my budget she made sure all taxes and other fees did too. The flowers were gorgegous and loved my the recipient. I will be back. I wanted blue flowers and she didn't have any but she made it work and added a blue bow. If you have special request call the day before so they can be overnighted and ready. You wouldn't go to a deli and ask for steak but be happy when the butcher gives you chicken instead, so why should you order flowers from a florist who may or may not deliver what you actually picked? Not everyone does this, but it's happened more than once that I have ordered flowers online for someone, and the actual bouquet received looked nothing like the picture online. Not cool. This is why I like Bowie Florist. When you order from their site, you see a picture of a bouquet you like, you add it to your cart, and that's what your lucky recipient will get. I live in San Francisco now, but I was able to order Valentine's flowers for my grandmother today with no problem. I picked the date of delivery (Feb 14 is still available, in case you were wondering), and included a message. Prom corsages, birthday flowers, just-because-I-need-a-pick-me-up flowers. Whatever the occasion, I always used Bowie Florist growing up in Maryland for great arrangement, and since they have a website, I can still take my business here, even when I'm on the other side of the country. Well, 73 Daisies of Bowie was not a disappointment this Valentine's/ Anniversary Day for me. The arrangement -- the vase -- the selection of predominately roses, tulips, shattering of carnations, greenery, fillings was spectacular!! All in shades of red to fuchsia!! I called to have a birthday arrangement delivered the same day. The woman I spoke with was professional and helpful and the flowers were delivered that day, with the correct message on the card. My only critique is that I thought the arrangement was a little skimpy for the money. It was a pretty arrangement-don't get me wrong-I just thought for the price it might have been a tad bigger. Very rude - my husband ordered through their website for valentine's day but the flowers never arrived. They sent him a confirmation email and everything that said "Your flowers will be delivered on 2/14." It got late in the day and the flowers still hadn't arrived to me. He called several times only to get voicemail and a message saying the voicemail box was full. Today he called to follow up and they said the email is NOT confirmation and they only take orders by phone. To top it off, the ladies were very rude about it and offered no apologies. I ordered a corsage for my grandson and an arm corsage for his date. When my husband picked up the order, the color was red instead of burgundy, which I requested. When I called back to inquire, I spoke with a very sweet young girl that said she was sorry and checked to see if they had burgundy roses. She said they did. I asked why they did not give me the color I requested, since they had them. She did not know, so when I asked to speak to the Manager, The Manager told her, she did not have time to talk with me. The young girl was trying in every way to appease me. She said if I came back to the shop, she would redo the order. That wouldn't work, it was the night of the prom and there was not enough time to get back by there. However, I thought it was very poor customer service for the Manager to decline to speak to a customer. Not only that, the flowers for both the corsage and arm corsage were so small, I had to go by another florist to get roses to add to them so they would not look so cheezy. I will never do business with Bowie florist again. If you do... beware, go by and see for yourself what you're getting. Disappointed and no apology given nor needed at this point.
