I came in about a month before my graduation to set up my order so my parents would be able to pick it up for me the morning of. I spoke with Tommy who arranged to come in early at 8:30 AM before the store officially opens since my graduation ceremony starts at 9 AM. I did prepay in advance but you can also pay day of pick up. Grad update! I called the day before to change my pickup to the evening before around 5 pm as they close at 5:30. This was related to a change in my own ceremony. They didn't have an issue with this. When I came in and told them my name they actually made the bouquet for me on the spot! They sprayed it with a floral version of a setting spray to keep the flowers fresh and gave me flower food to feed it overnight as well as extra clear wrap to put over the ends that I would be submerging in water the night before my graduation. My graduation bouquet was lovely and I recommend getting the custom $40 bouquet over the premade ones they have as mine was bigger and looked much nicer, though those are more affordable options. I would definitely recommend coming here for your floral needs!

Icy cold room, so wear a coat, but, whoa, what an amazing selection--humongous hydrangeas, and we went late on a Thursday. Others have recommended early in the week and early in the day. I truly think that greenhouses might be amongst my happy places, and Dundalk Florist's greenhouse in the spring does not disappoint. The anniversary of Jeremy's brother's death is coming up, so we decided to go to Dundalk Florist to pick out some sort of arrangement to send to their mother. While Jeremy was dealing with that, I struck up a conversation with another employee who said she clocked us when we came in as fellow nerds, because of my patch-covered bookbag, and Jeremy's strong Trekkie vibe. We ended up BSing for at least 20 minutes. I love it when conversation isn't awkward and employees don't seem to mind talking to make customers feel welcome. If you have people in your life who are impossible to shop for for birthdays or holiday gifts, Dundalk Florist has got your back. They have a wide variety of non-floral gifts: jewelry, handbags, knicknacks, stuffed animals... The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because they can be a bit expensive. I understand this kind of pricing comes with being an independent retailer. You're always going to spend a little more when you support local. Also, if you decide to use Dundalk Florist for sending flowers, but you don't have time to visit the store, they have a website but customers should pay attention because big, nationwide florists have bought the top search results. Make sure that you are on the florist's website. If you get screwed over by the large, national chains, Dundalk Florist cannot help you fix the problem. I don't know about you, but I like knowing there is a safety net when I ship flowers or gifts. We will definitely be back.
