I've gotten four deliveries from a friend from Flowers by Chris so I stopped by to order my own bouquet for my graduation. There is free street parking nearby as well as a metered. I came in about a month before my graduation to set up my order so my parents would be able to pick it up for me the morning of. I spoke with Tommy who arranged to come in early at 8:30 AM before the store officially opens since my graduation ceremony starts at 9 AM. I did prepay in advance but you can also pay day of pick up. Grad update! I called the day before to change my pickup to the evening before around 5 pm as they close at 5:30. This was related to a change in my own ceremony. They didn't have an issue with this. When I came in and told them my name they actually made the bouquet for me on the spot! They sprayed it with a floral version of a setting spray to keep the flowers fresh and gave me flower food to feed it overnight as well as extra clear wrap to put over the ends that I would be submerging in water the night before my graduation. My graduation bouquet was lovely and I recommend getting the custom $40 bouquet over the premade ones they have as mine was bigger and looked much nicer, though those are more affordable options. I have never received such a random bouquet held together with scotch tape. Who tapes their flowers in place? Seriously, I can't be the only person who likes to rearrange my flowers as some die off, but it is virtually impossible to do with their bouquets. Never mind that I have seen nicer arrangements at the grocery. I know what flowers were requested; none were included. Additionally, those that were, were nearly all toxic to pets, and not one flower had a scent. Not one! I am the type of person who loves things like lilacs, freesia, narcissus, stargazers. I personally think I did a better job collecting weeds while walking my dog and arranging those. read more

Passed this flower shop many many times during olden days nightlife outings. And they've been around since 1978! Finally, during daytime errand running on Galantine's Day, I decided to actually walk in. The joint was jumping! Since we're not really a roses kinda family, the staff guy suggested a spring mix, explaining there were more beautiful flowers in the back than was apparent from the front. Mom was over the moon with the $30-something spring mix bouquet-- which is still looking great a week later. I ordered a bouquet for a relative and paid $47. The flowers were delivered on time but were nothing like what I ordered. When I called, Chris said the company that I ordered from only paid him $20 so he only provided $20 worth of flowers. He said I should not have ordered online. That it was my fault. He said next time order from his website. This is unprofessional and I told him so. I told him I would report him and write a bad review. He started taunting me like a child. I can't share enough praise about Chris Psoras and her floral shop. We gave a rehearsal dinner two weeks ago and initially due to some unusual circumstances were not going to be using flowers at the restaurant. However, about 4 hours before the event we learned we could do flowers. There were graduations all over town and it was the night before Preakness. I knew it was too late but my daughter called and spoke with Chris - late on a Friday evening. We asked if there was any way we could get maybe one bouquet for the bride to have something at her table. Chris' response was very pleasant - she said she should be able to do something. Long story short, Flowers by Chris delivered beautiful table bouquets for each of the tables in the dinner room - lovely colors, glass vases. The bride was so happy when she saw how pretty the room was and commented immediately on the flowers. It would have been very easy for Chris to have declined our call or turned down our last hour request - we assumed she would. But she turned our event into something very pretty and joyful, she was cheerful and helpful on the phone, and she charged us reasonably for the arrangements. I wish we had a florist in our own area that impressed me this much - I would be a loyal customer for sure. Horrific Florist. If you could even call them that. My fiance sent me flowers. Flowers by Chris was supposed to send an arrangement valued at around $70 which is what my fiance paid for. It was called "pure happiness." Instead I recieved an assortment of foraged and wilted weeds and buds. Then when I called to get a resolution I was told I "just wanted to make a lot of trouble over nothing and that is what was paid for the order, nothing." Ruined the gesture my fiance was trying to make. I have been painfully ill recently and he was trying to make me feel better by sending me the flowers I love. What a nasty experience to have to deal with sarcastic old trashy people at this so called florist. Disgusting customer relations. Shouldn't be in business anymore. Once, I was visiting for my niece's thesis exhibition at MICA and I walked to the store to see if they could throw together a presentation bouquet, on the spot. They were fantastic in accommodating exactly what i had in mind. They listened to my ideas and suggested others and together we came up with a stunning arrangement. Worst customer service experience ever!! I informed the manager of the promptness and need to have my floral delivery received for a family member funeral and not simply left on the front porch. So on the day of delivery when the allocated delivery time promised, came and left, and no one was home to receive, I simply asked for a refund. Well the manager did not like that, he preceded to bash me, told me that he had recorded my call the day the purchase was made, to prove that their was no set delivery time, but when I asked for the recording to prove, he denied to play the audio, I then asked what was the problem and he begin to insult me over and over, I felt like i needed to cry afterwards. I don't know if it was a racial issue (I am african american) and the manager was caucasian or if he simply did not care to have a younger person (manager was older) stand up for their self and refuse bad service. Any way this place has been reported to the Better Business Bureau. I would advise anyone to think twice before using their services and to stay clear of the manager, seems to have some deep seated issues with my kind if you know what I mean. read more
