Several years ago my daughter ordered a "fairy garden" plant arrangement which was absolutely…read moreexquisite! This past April I tried to get the same for our anniversary,. However, this time we had a terrible experience. The arrangement was just OK. It was not nearly as creative and didn't exhibit the obvious care in choosing the plants when compared to the first. Fast forward to today, all the plants died except for a succulent. We went back to show the staff what had happened. We were told, well you overwatered. Didn't you notice we put it in a pot that didn't drain? What? Why would you make an arrangement and not put it in an appropriate container? The staff would not accept responsibility for their obvious error, offer any accommodation nor an apology. In our opinion this is NOT a way to treat customers nor stand behind what they sell. We will no longer recommend this establishment to others nor purchase anything in the future.

When we called to ask what happened, the woman insisted she had spoken with us and that we approved the change- this never happened. We checked our phone log and only had one missed call from the shop, no voicemail. She also kept saying, "But you ordered sympathy flowers and we made them Mother's Day flowers" as if that justified the change. It was for Mother's Day-we liked that particular arrangement and the box it came with. Realistically, I think they mixed us up with another customer, which would've been understandable. Mistakes happen. But her insistence that she spoke to my husband, so much so that he had to grab the phone and say to her that they did not speak and our call log clearly proving otherwise was frustrating and bizarre. When I asked to speak with the owner, she said the owner was having surgery, which felt like an attempt to make us feel guilty for escalating the issue. When we asked for a full refund, she said we'd have to bring the flowers back for that and that she could only offer a partial refund. At that point, it became clear she was not interested in making things right. We won't be ordering from here again-not because of the mix-up, but because of the employee's unprofessional and dismissive attitude. Mistakes happen, but a lack of integrity and willing to own a mistake is unacceptable.

The afternoon of the visitation, I texted my friend to offer support and he sent me a picture of what I had ordered. I placed the order online, scheduled pick up, and moved on with my life. Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. The arrangement provided is gorgeous and makes the one I ordered from a large corporation just doesn't compare. Thank you to Heather and the Flowers & Fancies team for making it right. I look forward to supporting in the future.

WildFlower may look like the average retailer from the outside but once inside you are transported to a gorgeous wonderland. The store is much larger than I anticipated. While I thought it was just a florist I discovered it is also a gift shop. Regarding floral services, I selected a lovely arrangement from the large cooler with a variety of bright gerbera daisies in it. There were several florists on site very busy making arrangements so I could have had a custom arrangement made but there was no need since the cooler selection offered plenty of options. Regarding gifts, they carry some of my very favorite brands and artists. Some of my favorites are Jellycat plushes and the Jellycat plants they had here were so cute! Jellycats always have great expressions and the fabrics feel so good. They also have various items from local artist Kim Hovell like candles wrapped in her Chesapeake Bay inspired oyster paintings. Her work in hues of blues is always very calming. WildFlower also carries locally made artisan Choquette chocolates. When I want to give a little thank you or hostess gift I always choose choquette chocolates. There were plenty other neat gifty items and I'll definitely be returning to do a little shopping. As far as customer service goes, there were about three florists who were very focused on what they were doing and one kinda gave me a weird look, probably because I was audibly ooohhing and ahhing and taking photos of the gorgeous displays (after asking if it was ok.) There were also a few people on the floor who were very helpful. One lady in particular was my saving grace and she was super helpful and friendly as I looked to pick out a last minute gift. I really wish I had more time to wonder around WildFlower. I'll definitely be back!

From the very beginning, this family-owned business treated us with kindness and understanding, which brought us comfort throughout the process. They created a beautiful cross, an elegant casket spray, and wreath that exceeded our expectations. Every arrangement was thoughtfully designed, with fresh, high-quality flowers and no cheap filler. The flowers were vibrant, beautifully arranged, and held up exceptionally well, looking fresh and elegant for both the visitation and funeral service. Their delivery was timely and reliable, giving us one less thing to worry about. The care and attention they put into every detail truly honored my father's memory. I am deeply grateful for their professionalism, artistry, and heartfelt compassion. Our family would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a florist for any occasion.
