She called AAA and had a tech come out to replace her tire with her spare. When the tech located her spare, it was flat. Most tire companies check your spare when you have new tires installed. She went back this morning to have her tires checked. The tech told her she needed an alignment. She explained that she just purchased the back two tires and they performed an alignment. He said he didn't know that even though she had it done in that store and he had reviewed her account on the computer. She asked to speak with a supervisor. A man named Joseph explained to her after she described her experience that America's Tire always offers an alignment when you purchase tires. That sounds horrible to me because they didn't check the car to see if need an alignment. They just offer it for the upsell. Furthermore, they patched the tire. So why would she need an alignment? Bad business. I do not like to leave bad reviews, but I have referred a ton of business to American's tires and I will not do that again. I feel bad for the next innocent, trusting individual that goes in and is under the impression they need an alignment when they don't. Because they offer it, regardless if the car needs it or not. They should be ashamed of themselves. And then they reply and say they want to correct it with more information but the link doesn't work.

I appreciate being able to make an appointment. Management: A customer waiting in line in the lobby is MORE IMPORTANT than someone calling in. It sends the WRONG MESSAGE to customers when staff take a call in front of the person that has been patiently waiting. This is a MANAGEMENT ISSUE that needs to be addressed.

The salesperson who helped me, Ian, recommended that I replace all four tires. I told him I understood I would eventually need tires and that I planned on purchasing them later. He then told me that I should buy the tires today because if I replaced them later, I would have to pay to have the alignment done all over again. That made me feel pressured to purchase four tires immediately instead of simply getting the alignment I came in for. Ian also advised against rotating the tires, saying they were already in the best positions based on their condition. Before leaving, I asked for the initial inspection report, because I wanted to see the tread-depth measurements that supported the recommendation to replace all four tires. I was told the information was included in the paperwork they gave me. After getting home and carefully reviewing all the paperwork, there are no tread-depth measurements for any of the four tires anywhere on the documents. If all four tires were inspected closely enough to recommend replacing them and to determine that they were already in their "best positions," I would expect actual tread-depth measurements to have been taken and documented--especially after I specifically asked for them. I'm not claiming that my tires will never need replacement. My concern is that four new tires are a significant expense, and I believe a recommendation to replace all four should be supported by actual tread measurements rather than sales pressure. The alignment service itself was completed, but the experience left me questioning whether the tire recommendation was based on an actual documented inspection or an attempt to sell me four tires I wasn't ready to purchase.

Service representatives are very friendly and helpful. I come to this location or Puente Hills locations to get free air and flat tire repairs. They should have better communication if it's not going to be ready with the time they had previously given you without you having to ask. They only started my car because I asked about it. They should value your time more. They seem to lack communication between the techs and salesmen. There is no accountability within their team and what they commit to. They seem to want to upsell you and not just take care of what you came in for and let you just figure out what you would like to do on your own. I also asked for paperwork for the inspection so I can show car dealer since I just purchased this car and for some reason they didn't think they could do that. So strange. I took a picture of their device that reads the tire threads but that's all I have. I don't know how you do business that way and expect to make a purchase happen without any paper trail for people have. Experience: overall my experience as positive. I came to get new tires on my truck and they gave me really competitive pricing and able to do the install same day. My issue is when i received the call that my car was done - they scratched the rims on my truck during the install. A professional tire shop installed unsafe, incorrect tires on a customer's vehicle. When I called to address the issue, I was given the runaround for hours. When I finally went in person, the same employee (Virginia) who sold me the tires acknowledged the issue... but then told me I would have to pay an additional $1,400 if I wanted to get the correct tires. So let me get this straight: * You install the wrong tires * You admit they're wrong * And then expect ME to pay again to fix YOUR mistake? Absolutely unacceptable. This isn't just poor customer service -- it's a serious safety issue and a complete lack of accountability. No customer should ever be put in this position, especially when trusting a business with something as critical as their vehicle.
