I 100% DO NOT recommend coming to blooming nails. (BETTER RECOMMENDATIONS AT THE END) I came to blooming only once before and had a poor experience then too. I went in to get a full acrylic set, there were not one, not two, not three, but FOUR employees on their phones. While only two clients were being helped. I sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes until something had to be said, then was finally help. My appointment after that felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience to them. The most recent visit i've had there really sent me over the edge. I went in to blooming nails to get a pedicure and a gel x fill. I sat down in the pedicure chair and the man started my pedicure. The water was extremely hot and burning my feet, I told him it was too hot and he did lower the temperature - about the only thing they did right. Then they handed me the booklet to pick which pedicure you would like, STARTING at $50!!! For a regular pedicure that lasted 20 minutes!!! Mind you i asked for regular polish NOT GEL!! I went to get my manicure next and it felt very rushed. I had an appt at 5pm and they closed at 6:30. They were sweeping all around me, running the loud vacuums, packing up and leaving. While clients were still in the solan. She then went on to charge me $130 for all my services. I thought this was a bit extreme for just a pedicure and a fill so I asked for a receipt after paying. To which she gave me a jank receipt that didn't even include the services and how much they cost. It just said my total and my form of payment. Disappointing but not surprising. I called them the next day and asked how much a gel x fill would be considering they charged me 80$ for mine. They then said that the fills cost 50$. Boy was I mad. I told them the situation that had happened and that they overcharged me which then turned into me talking to several different people. They then came to the conclusion that they were right and i was wrong because "I got a gel pedicure" which added 15$. I didn't ask for a gel pedicure i actually asked for regular. And they still charged me and didn't try to make it right. I came here in the fall and got my nails done just for them to break off literally that day and the next. I get my nails done every other week for months on end, I switched it up and came here because BV nails treats kids poorly so I wanted to move my business. I came here and the filed my nails down so thin, that nothing could help them. 2 broke that day! Even with that happening I figured okay- this is not the place to do dip, they're just bad at nails- but they were sweet when I brought the kids in, let me get a pedicure with my kids. I had called ahead to make an appointment because I have 3 little girls and my sister was coming too. I had wanted a 9am knowing I had a busy day but they ask if I could do 10:30 because there was 5. So I said sure we would do 10:30. We show up at 10:25 and there is only 2 seats open. After waiting 20 min 3 seats were open so they had half our party sit down, however 2 of my daughters wouldn't sit until I did (they are 4 and 5 ). So my other daughter and my sister started. This guy was up charging my 6 year old!! I'm not kidding. I said "kids pedicure" we have paid $15 there before. He asks her if she wants a spa pedicure- while I'm with the other two and does a full spa pedicure for $50!!!! My other two only cost $8! (When we finally got to them at 11:15. I of course didn't even get to get a pedicure by the time all the seats opened up because I was on a time limit. The only reason this place is getting ANY stars is because they are nice to the kids, even gave them little stuffies. BUT make sure you are on top of the employees because like I said they will up charge your kids. (Another reason I was trying to prevent them from splitting us up). What is the point in setting an appointment with customers if you have no intent on actually having seats or workers ready. I totally don't min a 5-10 min wait, I know that happens. But 20 min wait for the first three to sit down and in total 40 min wait for the other seats. With three little kids!!! Never again. I have been coming her for years and have loved it. Well recently I heard the owner went back to China and man does it show. Not only have the prices increased dramatically but the quality has gone way down hill. Came about two months ago and I asked for a design on my big toe and the girl looked panicked. She went and and got some stickers and I was like oh no that's okay sometimes they just like paint a little flower or design and she was like let's try the sticker well it was a black flower and it looked like a fly got stuck in the paint so I said no thanks and she took it off and just painted over the spot so it did not look good. Decided to give them another chance and came in today. I called ahead and they said they could see me in 10 minutes so I went there and sat for over 30 minutes and when I asked the girl if the $50 pedicure was the one that used to be $35 she just said this is the new menu to which I said I normally just get a regular pedicure with callus removal which she told me the pedicure does not include callus removal which I said I know normally it is extra but now it isn't even on the new menu says she told me to pick one of the new expensive pedicures which I asked if I could just do the basic one and pay extra for callus removal and she took the menu and rolled her eyes at the guy working next to her and said something I couldn't understand. Then when i paid now they charge to use a credit card. I know that is common in restaurants but they have never charged extra here to use a credit card. I took my granddaughter to get a pedicure with me on a weekday in the middle of the day. The spa was not busy. We just selected the "regular" pedicure instead of one of the more spa - like types. I kid you not when I say we were in and out in less than ten minutes. Even my seven year old granddaughter asked me why it was so short. I was very nervous to come to Blooming Nails to get my nails done due to the bad reviews on Yelp and Google. I'm visiting my boyfriend from NYC so I had very high expectations but my boyfriends mom, grandma, and sister love coming to this salon. I needed something last minute and this was super convenient since it was in Township 5 plaza. It was so busy even on a Tuesday afternoon. Phones won't stop ringing and customers kept coming in for their appointments or walk ins. there's about 5-6 staffs but all techs were occupied and lots of people doing both mani/pedi's. I made a reservation for 12:30 and only waited about 12 mins for the nail tech Sarah to start my nails. She did such a lovely job. I was so impressed. I felt super bad because she kept needing to answer the phone and multi task and talk to incoming customers but nevertheless, she ended up doing my nails so beautifully and it was quick too! A man did my pedicure and he did a great job! He was fast and efficient with care. The paint job was great and I could not be more content with my visit here. The only thing I'd suggest is for them to disinfect the UV light under per customers but they did spray the seating area between customers and also sanitized their products. If you're from the Syracuse/Camilla/Marcellus area I would definitely recommend visiting Blooming Nails. I personally love gel polish just because it's fast and easy. Zero stars! I'm not kidding this place is just awful! I got my nails done and just a few days later wanted a polish change for an event- they charged me $40 for a polish change! I just returned today (from over the weekend) and I needed a nail fix ( that I broke and planned on paying for) the nail tech tried to "jokingly" say I told you needed a fill! I promptly said back- you said no such thing because I wouldn't have needed a fill when I got my polish change because it was just a few days after getting them done! Needless to say, there is a language barrier but she very clearly was trying to say I needed to pay for the nail fix! Immediately I remembered they just charged me $40 for a polish change & they are tying to be funny & clearly discriminated against me! Little did they know I always tip awesome( they know this) & has every intention on paying for a fix! I quickly left and I won't be returning! First time here, Took my mother for her first pedicure ever, and it was the Worse I've gotten. Worker Was in a rush the whole time, was in and out with a deluxe spa package in 30 mins. Didn't cut my cuticles down, or get around the edges of toes. My toes feel awful and rough, and when I Asked him to fix it, he barely ran a tool over them and left them looking awful. Got the paint I asked for wrong then in a rush made me pick a new one, and it was awful. I wanted white sparkles, and my toes look yellow and disgusting. I rarely treat myself to any nail treatment and go about once/twice a year. I've been to this place a couple times over the last couple years, just recently for a pedicure & spa treatment. The staff are nice and welcoming. The space is clean, bright and open. I like that the music they play is soothing instrumental music. I decided to go with a regular spa treatment for my pedicure. The leg massage was okay, definitely not the best I've had but okay. The callous removal could have been better but the worker had her work cut out for her, it had been a really long time since I had a pedicure treatment (I apologized to her before hand :) The hot stone portion of the leg massage was wonderful. Was in dire need for a mani-pedi, and when I called they were able to take us on a Sunday. Arrived at the salon, very clean, just had to wait a little bit before they took me and my brother's fiancé for our pedicures. They do a fantastic job with the massage, includes hot stones. For the manicures, I asked for a French with neon as opposed to white for the tips and they were able to do it. There is also a complimentary neck massage after the manicure, and they have chair massages for only $10 for 10 minutes! I need a lot of pressure but Linda was amazing!!! Called to let them know they let me go when my nails weren't dry and they asked me to come back in the following day to fix them. Went back in the following day and got them fixed only to have the same problem occur again, the damage wasn't as bad as the first time but at that point I was done. I appreciate that they hide their tools and clutter away, which other nail salons don't seem to care about. My friend invited me here for some girl time because she had a gift card for her pedicure. Upon arrival, all of the blinds were shut and looked closed. When we got inside, the place looked clean. The man that was to do my pedicure just handed me this paper with a list of services. I felt a little pressured to do the spa pedicure. I kept asking what the difference between the spa and regular was and he just kept saying that I wanted the spa ped. My friend got the regular pedicure and I didn't see that much of a difference between hers and mine. The reason why I am giving this place one star is because I paid $45 for a mani/pedi and during the pedi, the man filed my pinky toe so hard that it broke skin. Four days later and my toe is still aching. He did not apologize even when he saw that he broke skin. It's quite appalling. My daughter and I have been coming to this salon since they opened and we have had nothing but professional service and extremely professional contact with the staff. They are polite from the minute you walk in to the goodbye when you leave. I have pedicures, manicures and massages, and my daughter has had pedicures and gel nails. They have been very courteous to my daughter when she came in with broken nails from sports and needed repairs. My pedicures last just as long as they have from all the nail salons I have visited and typically (because I type and do dishes and use my hands a lot) the manicures wear at the tips within a couple of day, same as every other place I have had manicures at. I have been to Blooming Nails twice since it opened last month, once for a pedicure and twice for a gel manicure. This place is awesome. It's brand new, very clean and organized. The staff could not be nicer or more professional. They all wear company aprons with name tags and are very quiet. There are 2 big screen TVs with a movie playing on them. The volume is kept off but the closed captioning is on so you can read along if you like. It's a nice distraction, especially during a manicure when you can't read a magazine. There is also relaxing background music playing. Comfy pedicure massage chairs. There is very minimal conversation between the techs and when they do speak to one another, it is very quiet. I have seen the same nail tech (she goes by Amanda) twice now and just made an appointment with her again tonight. I have awful cuticles and she does a great job of getting them back in shape. My gel has stayed perfect for 2 weeks with the exception of my nails growing out and the "roots" starting to show. The edges just started to curl yesterday. She takes her time and is very particular, paying special attention to the edges making sure they are all covered with color and top coat. I'm sure this is one of the reasons for the gel longevity. Great selection of colors. You also get a hot towel finish and neck massage as part of the purchase. The prices are pretty standard for the service ($30 for the gel manicure). They offer coupons online (a reg manicure and pedicure for $30, $5 off a gel mani if you also get a regular pedi, ect). They also offer a discount card that they sign everytime you purchase a service. After 12 visits, you receive a discount.
