I came in 3 hours before they closed and requested a full set of acrylics for both my hands and feet. Over the phone they were kind, quick, and nice enough to give me a price estimate for my service. When I came in they immediately got started on my pedi, (they offer you a choice of scrubs and aftercare) and when we finished and moved on to my hands the artist was clean and took his time. He also asks in between whether you're okay with what he's doing shaping and painting wise. I was visiting and looked for nail salons and chose Lotus Nail Salon based on reviews- so hopefully this will help future potential customers. It was a pleasant experience but when they finished my nails, I saw that there were tons of small texture bubbles on more than half of my nails. I asked them to fix it, the same nail tech that did my original gel manicure "fixed it" but still had bubbles on several nails. A different tech came to fix and filed down all the nails again to fix. So no bubbles and I went on my way. I was originally going to write a review saying that it was a fine experience if you have an extra 30 minutes to have your manicure redone twice but a friendly staff. It wasn't until the next day that I noticed several nails were not fully painted on the sides. Now that I'm home and no longer able to go and get it fixed, there were two nails that started to lift at the base of my nail. Really frustrating- I would want a partial refund if possible. Point being- save yourself the time and poor manicure and go elsewhere! read more

I made a profile and downloaded the yelp app just to review this nail salon, haha. I love this place! The owners are so kind and funny and always remember my name when I come in. My acrylic nails always come out so well, and they have always been very quick. I got a manicure and pedicure and I was out in 1hr-1hr 1/2. It's a bit of a hidden gem as well, so it's not over crowded when I go in. I really love the people who work here and I have really enjoyed getting my nails done here and will continue to do so as long as I live in the area. :) read more

I was hesitant to try this place out because of the poor rating. The salon has been there for a while. So I guess I'll give them their first good review. I walked in they had time on the spot. A young gentleman started my nails. He took my gel polish off. He must have been learning. Anyways then the actual nail tech came out. I needed a fill and 2 nails fixed. She did an excellent job repairing my 2 nails and on the fill. She also recommended a different shape because I wasnt happy with oval. So I went with almond shaped. They have the best selection of colors I've come across at a nail salon. I'll definitely be going back! read more

This is my first 1 star review. I was in the Syracuse area on a weekend trip and had an hour to kill when I noticed that my recently manicured nails had more chips in the polish than I was comfortable with. So I searched the area for a nail salon that accepted walk ins. I couldn't find any that had Yelp reviews so I had to just wing it. All I needed was my polish removed and redone, that seems easy enough, right? wrong... The polish color selection was weak, not many to choose from at all. I was trying to find a color that would match my toes since my current polish was an exact match. It was just a shade of maroon, which you would think is pretty common and wouldn't be too hard to find, or so I thought. I settled on a shade that was as close as I could get to the color on my toes. The salon was pretty dirty and the equipment was just as bad. They also do waxing, and the thought of that being done in such a dirty environment just scares me. I was only charged $5.00 for the polish job, but it wasn't even worth that. She buffed my cuticles off with a dremel tool instead of the sterilized cuticle scissors that I'm used to... yikes! The polish job was sloppy and by the time it was done, I felt like I should have just stuck with the decently polished, yet slightly chipped version that I had before I went in there. sigh In retrospec, I would have been better off going to the Rite Aid nearby, bought some polish remover and a bottle of polish to do it myself while sitting in my vehicle waiting for my friend. If I'm ever in the area again and need my nails done, I will not revisit this salon. read more

They do good work HOWEVER.... They turn down walk ins almost every tome even for eyebrows. Will have you sitting there for 15 minutes just to say "I'm sorry we're busy today"... I believe they service who they want to service which isn't fair especially because there's no clear cut sign saying NO WALK INS. I'm sure coming in at 9am and them closing at 6:30 they have time for one eyebrow appt or a quick manicure. They're not that booming. I like EXL Nails. No matter what they will take any walk ins and Kim is great. read more

I was new to the west side and I tried this salon, because it was close to my shopping center. Huge mistake! After a 45 minute wait, because I walked in, the 2 women on staff that day traded off and gave me the worst set of nails I ever had. The first woman who started me off with the tips, put them on crooked and did not get a proper glue set. Then after waiting another 15 minutes the other one applied the acrylic. After ignoring my request for more rounded nail shape, she continued to look irritated when I asked her to remove numerous flaws in the appearance of my nails. She then painted over bits of debris, that I could not remove during the hand washing. The nails looked too small for my fingers, and really fake with dagger sharp squared points flanking the sides. These women don't have any pride in their craft, and it took me awhile to grow out all of the damage they created. I do not recommend this salon for services. read more
