Loved the look of the pretty peach when you first step in the decor and seating are all focused around the peach color. Music creates a very casual and comfortable experience when you first walk in too. I haven't gotten waxed in a few years, but we were going to Mexico for a wedding and wanted everything cleaned up. I was immediately helped and every service I requested took less than an hour. Lani was amazing and super efficient. I got the vajacial : pampered peach, it was great and the jelly mask was definitely a nice addition for someone who has sensitive skin but coarse hair. I also got my neck, chin, and sideburns done. I got my eyebrows waxed here, and it was super fast and convenient. This place is right on the boulevard, but hard to spot because it's in a little office suite right before Tully's and the storefront doesn't face the road -- very easy to get to though, and lot parking. Scheduling online was easy, although I will say that it seems like weekend spots fill up fast, so you'll definitely want to plan and make your appointment at least a few weeks in advance if you want a Saturday spot. When you walk in, there's no receptionist, but a sign that says to take a seat and your esthetician will be with you soon. The waiting room is super posh and cute. R&B is playing which is super relaxing, and decor is ultra feminine and a tad bit racy. True to their promise, my waxer fetched me exactly at my appointment time. Rooms are decorating in a similar design scheme, that iconic peach paint. Everything seemed very clean and well set up. The whole process took about 10 minutes and was super efficient. There was more soothing, soulful music in my beauty room. My esthetician Princess didn't talk much but seemed super kind when she did. (Honestly -- wasn't there long enough for much conversation, which is totally ok by me!). The wax felt really high quality and smelled nice. I feel like most of the negative reviews are because of their cancellation policy. They state the policy clearly on their website and appointment site. I received multiple emails and text reminders to reconfirm my appointment, including one last 24 hour reminder as a last chance to change. Because I'm a new client, I don't know if this was always the case or added after there were issues, but they seem pretty on top of the communication and give clients multiple chances to change the appointment before the deadline. They take a deposit upfront and you pay the rest at the end -- if you no show or cancel late, they keep the deposit I believe. I know it's a bummer to lose out on money, but to be fair it's not great for the studio to lose out on business or other customers to lose a spot either. If you make peace with the fact that they have strict cancellation policies and don't get upset about the deposit thing, you should have a perfectly fine time here. My eyebrows looked really nice, btw! I'm not a super frequent waxer but I'd definitely come here again. More than anything I appreciate their timeliness and respecting my time, and it's super refreshing to be in and out of somewhere so reliably without having to worry about getting held up and running behind in my other errands. read more

I've been coming to Pretty P for over a year now and the customer service has been top tier and consistent. The vibe when you walk in the door is chill, stylishly simple and comfortable The reason I'm doing an update is because of my disappointment not with the service but with the negative reviews. This place should have 5 stars but unfortunately some feel entitled that they don't have to adhere to Pretty P's late and cancellation policies. BEFORE you can pay the deposit to hold the appointment you have to agree to the terms. Which are clearly laid out before hand. This is a great business and I want to support and inform future customers of the truth about this business, so they may not be dissuaded to visit because of customers who won't take accountability of their being late. read more

I went here for my first wax, and I enjoyed the experience. The esthetician was nice and professional, and was very understanding of my pain tolerance. The studio was clean, pretty, and welcoming. The wax service itself was probably pretty standard, though since it was my first wax, I didn't have anything to compare it to. The esthetician did her best to guide me through it with as little pain as possible, and put up with me swearing like a sailor. I'm not sure if I will want to get waxed again in general, but if I do decide to get another wax, I'll go here for sure! read more

In response to the business owner, I've had an experience where I needed to cancel an appointment abruptly and the business owner has waived the deposit fee or puts it towards my rescheduled date (a snowstorm blocked the roads). Of course I don't expect this from every business where their policies are firm, but my comment was in regards to loyal customers with a very specific emergency. I won't mention what the emergency was (personal) but I certainly would have felt a lot better if Princess showed some kind of support or empathy, rather than being blunt and ending the call. I've been coming here for a year and a half for my waxing needs. This place is super clean and very cute. All the ladies here do an amazing job. I won't say it's not painful it really depends on a few things, and if you've been waxed before you know what that means. But they are very quick and precise and have you in and out in 20 minutes. This location uses a charcoal hard wax which is organic and doesn't stick to your skin. And it actually smells like peaches too! If you have time, try the "Vajacial" which is like a facial for your lady parts. Summer is fast approaching and they book up rather quickly. Thieves and super unprofessional! Called in advance because I was very lost in the establishment and told them I was at the location just a bit lost. I arrived late and someone comes in to check in on me. She asked me my name and comes back to say there was another person being attended whose name was also mine. My appointment was cancelled because I didn't meet the 10 min grace period. I indicated to her the reason I was late and explained how I was lost and did give them a call. $25 deposit completely gone. Very disappointed and do not plan on ever returning. read more
