Knowledgeable about all the latest skincare, she takes the time to thoroughly check and evaluate your skin and explain what she sees and how to best treat it, including holistic methods if that's an interest for you. A few years ago, it was clear I had bad interactions with different ingredients in products, but we didn't know which they what. Theresa uses a special system of skin testing that comes from Canada and will give you not only what you're reacting to, but gives you lists of current products on the market that contain it. When I moved back to DC, my excellent dermatologist there had never heard of this testing program and wanted to purchase it herself. I'm now living in New England and as family is local here, I figured why not come back to Theresa versus try my luck with another? Her front desk staff is super warm and friendly and fit me in quickly. Her new office is super cute and there's even a fresh juice bar inside. Her esthetician does consults for different services, including makeup using the highest quality products. They've got an event coming up on 12/15 that will show off some of the great services and products they offer. I highly recommend people check it out.

The salon is in a cool converted home and truly seems part of the neighborhood. It smelled delicious inside - I never got even a whiff of that usual antiseptic strong nail spa smell. I needed acrylic nails removed and was dreading the usual discomfort and rough treatment of having them chipped and drilled off. Instead they were gently removed and my nails beneath were preserved. I'm embarrassed that I cannot remember the nail tech's name but she was amazing. She suggested a dip manicure and they had lots of great colors to choose from. The experience was completed with a wonderful house made gingerbread hand scrub and lotion. I left with awesome nails and also bought a tub of the gingerbread lotion. I enjoy the fact that they use Lanza products, which have wonderful aromas. The location is in little Italy in a old brick building. The decor was nice inside with large mirrors and good lighting to see what the hair dresser is doing. I called and requested whoever since the person I was recommend Cassie, was booked for two weeks and she had a waiting list for cancelations.I had a woman who was very keen in listening to my requests and did try to do high lights in my stubborn hair. The only thing I have to complain about is the timing aspect since the client prior to my appointment she had to finish up, so she was about 20 mins late starting me, and the client scheduled after me, she told me she had to start while I was getting heat processed, then I had to wait another 30 mins for her to finish up. But her work was good, so I guess it was worth the wait. read more
