I have been coming here for years as Jackie runs a beautiful salon that is modern and welcoming! I had to schedule last minute and it was very easy and convenient to do online. I got a partial highlight and haircut from Bridget Drury - my first time with her, and she did an amazing job! I wanted a fresh brightened look for a new start (as I'm moving) and she went above and beyond to take the time and care to give me a look that I was really happy with. She was very sweet, kind, and attentive, and I love the cut she gave me. It feels so much healthier and I feel so much more confident going into my new home not feeling unkempt! lol I am so grateful for the calming feeling she gave and the great skill she had with both the cut and color! Cold management: I recently moved to the area and was very much looking forward to establishing at a new salon. Sadly, I had a heating emergency and was unable to attend my appointment as you can imagine in this area a heating emergency can be quite dangerous. Due to their policy, I was charged $60 for late cancellation. During my call to reschedule I request requested this to be waived/overturned and management denied that request due to policy. I find it hard to believe in a post pandemic world that there was no flexibility on the matter, especially when I was looking to reschedule not actually cancel, furthermore it was not a no call no show. In fact it was an emergency. I will not seek service at this business, I will not bring my daughter or refer any friends or family, which there are many. The managements decision to take a hard line on their policy is bad business and has cost them a substantial amount of money in the long run. read more

After reading several reviews for a place to get a cut I decided on Indigo and was not disappointed. Booking an appointment was super easy to do online and they followed up over the phone to confirm. They're located downtown so parking was a bit of a headache but I gave myself enough time to figure out parking. Upon entering I was immediately greeted and sat in the waiting area a few minutes before my amazing stylist, Micaela, grabbed me for my cut. She listened to what I wanted and delivered beautifully. I absolutely loved Indigo Loft Salon. The space itself was clean and welcoming, while also socially distanced and safe. I can't remember who cut my hair, but if I do I will update this review! Regardless, she was very communicative and asked before doing anything. I cut off almost 5 inches, and she did an excellent job making sure I was getting what I wanted and nothing I didn't. She textured the bottom as well to help with when I part my hair, and asked beforehand and explained why it would be beneficial. Can't say enough good things about Surita, she has truly transformed my hair in a matter of months while maintaining length and keeping it very healthy. I walked into the salon several months ago with almost black hair and asked Surita to make me platinum silver. She immediately reined in my expectations and was 100% honest from the start in regards to how light we could go before irreversible damage and breakage. Marissa is a great stylist! She cut my hair in August and the woman's cut cost $55 not including tip. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a cute haircut that suited my wavy mid-length hair (past my shoulders). My hair is pretty thick so it tends to make a triangle shape. Marissa expertly cut my hair to take out the volume on the bottom. The vibe in the salon was fabulous with snacks, waters and a comfortable waiting area. The receptionist was professional and helpful. You need to put a card down to schedule an appointment. The salon is busy so book in advance. read more

Made a consultation back in March for a balayage with Marissa because she specializes in curly hair textures. My hair texture is between a 3b and a 3c. Unfortunately, she was booked months out, so she referred me over to Micaela and assured me that Micaela knew how to work with curly hair. She didn't. I should have known from the moment I sat down in her chair that I was screwed. First off all, she straightened my hair multiple times without heat protection spray then applied the bleach and color. She only let the color stay on for 15 minutes and used HOT water to rinse it out. The color was wrong so she redid the color and got it right. Later that week when I washed my hair, the color started bleeding out like CRAZY and it was leaving my hair. It wasn't a small amount of color that kept bleeding out and it went in for weeks. I contacted Micaela and she tried to fix this mess. I remember sitting down in her chair for the second time and she said to me "to be honest, I don't know anything about curly hair" and sure enough I had the same issue happen when I got home. My hair is not at all difficult to work with and i just can't fathom why anyone would even touch someone's hair if they don't have any knowledge on that specific type of hair. I would have been completely alright if she had just been honest with me from the beginning and told me she didn't feel comfortable touching my hair. But now my curls are completely damaged and I have been trying so hard to bring them back but it's not going to work in my favor. I had to cut off two inches a couple weeks ago for new hair to grow in and now I'm going to have to just cut it all off and start from scratch. I ended up calling the salon and spoke with Marissa, she was able to fit me in and work with me and try to fix this hot mess. Marissa spent so much time and energy and really worked hard on fixing my botched balayage. I love Marissa and their is a reason why she gets so many clients in the salon. She's the absolute BEST!! I mean just look at her IG page. In retrospect, I wish I was never sent to Micaela because my hair is so damaged now and their is no bringing it back. It looks nice when I put products in my hair but without having products in my hair you can tell how dead my curls and all around hair is. read more

What a great salon! My mother and I love our hair. Jackie, the owner, cuts an adorable pixie cut on my mother, with super precision and care. She cut my hair in a shoulder length bob, similar to Jennifer Aniston's famous Rachel look. It's beautiful! I had my hair highlighted, low lighted and glossed by Brian, Indigo's colorist. It is by far my favorite color process I've ever had. I decided to have a Brazilian blowout done after the color success, and I'm super happy with the results. Honestly, I'm not from Syracuse, but Indigo Loft Salon is better than any salon I've been to in New York City, Chicago and Palm Beach. I did one of the worst thing anyone can do to a stylist, and called last minute, requesting any availability possible. I was scheduled with Brian, and ended up having to cancel it! I called back requesting a different appointment time, and was scheduled with Marisa. My hair was a disaster! I had grown out bangs(somewhat), an old balayage that needed a TON of color corrected, and to top it all off, I had root grow out that was about 8 weeks over due. Marisa was so patient, and really took the time to listen. I knew it was a task, and expected to work through several appointments to achieve the color I was hoping to obtain. My best friend went and showed a picture of a balayage to mimic and her entire head got bleached, almost to the point of white. Her hair is NOT AT ALL what she asked for and now her entire head of hair is damaged because of the bleach. If you want a balayage.... let alone anything but a trim, you should go somewhere else. read more
