This review is not specific to the Kreymer Estates. I believe Bloomfield Homes are the best value for the money. My Salesperson was a pleasure to do business with. However, when building the home, their goal is to "meet code". I found that the craftsmanship behind the walls is not all there! So as long as it "meets code", the aesthetics are unimportant and won't be fixed or changed because "it doesn't affect the house as a whole". As for the upgrades, that is where they really "make a killing". ( An electric outlet, $110. Wooden floors, $14,000). Just choose what can't be added or changed in the future by an aftermarket contractor (3 car garage, fireplace, etc). Make certain whatever changes you ask for are in writing. (light switch on a specific wall, fan offset, door opening, etc..) Otherwise it will end up being just something that was talked about. Visit the home constantly and don't be afraid to question the construction (after all, you are paying good money for a mostly perfect construction). Don't be afraid to invest $300-$500 in an inspection on pre-drywall and prior to the expiration of the warranty (it is a piece of mind and will send a message to the builder). Hint: When asked what is your max budget and what is your "must have", be conservative on what you say your budget amount is because, they will give you about $20K in upgrades (your must have) for free (remember, the upgrades don't cost them much unless you want them). read more

I contacted Bloomfield Warrenty department,(Shane Aldrich). I filed a claim pertaining the settlement/shifting of my homes foundation. I began to notice horizontal cracks in many floor tiles in the walkway/kitchen area, along with garage ceiling and floor. Advanced Foundation was contacted by Bloomfield, and Clyde McClintock was sent out to inspect my foundation issue. After waiting several weeks, I contacted Mr. McClintock requesting the report. When I received the report it stated there was NO foundation issue. This finding is simply not correct or accurate. The cracks are in the drywall, and the floor tile. I would like for Bloomfield to stand behind their builders Warrenty and repair this issue. read more

I never met the builder, and nearly everything was handled through email. There was very little transparency around market changes or effort to build rapport. As someone who works in the insurance industry and deals with people during stressful, high-stakes situations, empathy and clear communication matter to me. This process lacked both. Walking away was not easy. Losing a $3,000 earnest money deposit is not insignificant, especially in this economy and as a single parent supporting a child in college. Ultimately, though, the lack of flexibility and goodwill made it clear this was not the right fit. In hindsight, the loss was painful but worth stepping away from an experience that felt so impersonal. My advice to future buyers is to take the time to truly understand your builder's approach, ask direct questions early, and be clear about what kind of experience you expect. For some buyers, a strictly business approach may be fine. For others, especially first-time buyers, it may feel discouraging. We bought a Bloomfield home. VERY disappointed. I think they forgot to actually paint the inside. Looks Luke the just used primer and called it a day. Had a roof issue during build, they fixed the issue on the outside but NOT the inside. Very poor craftsmanship. Why would ypu leave water damage inside a new build? Once you report an issue, they quickly ignore you. Calling corporate....OMG, these guys are RUDE! Only want your $$$ and you are pushed aside. As we shopped for hpuses, we thought Bloomfield was one of the best. Buy after buying, I saw a completely different side of the company. (Willow Wood, McKinney, Tx) I'm not impressed by Francis' reliability. She's the only sales person in the office, and is too busy when your interested or wishy washy on incentives to buy. I walked in last week with my children and I felt rushed and a not very welcome. I asked to work up a quote with details of the offer, lot I chose and extra options I would like to add. The lot I chose was a 50' lot but an extra 8k to buy due to location. I loved the location, so it wasn't a problem. She explained to me that I would get a $15k incentive on this lot, for a cypress 1 (1 story). She put it on the quote and even the lot number and floorplan. I asked about adding a 3 car garage and she explained I would have to do a 60' lot In order to do a 3 car garage, but I couldn't do a 1 story on a 60' lot, but a cypress II (1.5 story). So I called a day ago and inquired again, she went back on her word and said no a 1 story is only a $10k builders incentive, not $15k. At this point I feel like this is just a sham. I went home, pulled the quote and sent her a screen shot of exactly what she quoted and typed up. She said it was an error and tried to call me. When a family is trying to make a life changing decision, that is a Big decision, and you make a mistake, you would think she would honor what she had put on paper. I'm not happy and I would like to talk to her supervisor. My realtor is now having to talk to her instead, but it maybe because of Francis, that Bloomfield loses my business! read more

They will leave you with foundation issues, improper drainage, and poorly built retaining walls. They hide google reviews If you have a VA Home Loan and are within the first year with your builder, and are unable to get them to fix things. You can file a complaint with the VA. Additionally, if you have proof that you contacted your builder to fix things within the first year, and they ignore ect. You can send that into the VA and file a complaints as well. The builder will have to tell the VA what they did to try and resolve your complaint. Basically, if the VA receives multiple complaints, they will remove the builder from their system. This impacts the builders ability to work with future VA Home Loans. They can appeal and get reinstated, but we all know VA appeals are difficult. I was approved with AMSW, saw the 1148 Richard Pittmon Lane returned to office to sign contract. I told salesman Bill two complaining neighbors, I gave him the neighbors names, they were selling their bloomfield due to delinquent repairs, minimal retails, and poor schools. He said Bloomfield had invested millions. I then asked for an incentive for buying a $400,000.00 home (a refrigerator, washer, or Dryer). Bill said he didn't come to work on his off day for this. He is not giving incentives and shouted if I don't want to buy the house GET OUT! I then asked if he could ask the owner for a incentive. Bill said he was the owner and he had the final say. I know Don Dykstra is the owner not Bill. Again Bill said if you don't want buy the house GET OUT!. I quietly left. Of course I'm still going to buy a Primrose VI house but NOT in Desoto Kentsdale Farms. We purchased a Bloomfield home in September 2019 and have had issues with our flooring since October 2019. Texas Flooring installed the flooring and did an awful job. Bloomfield has still not resolved anything. It was actually said to my husband by Don Dykstra, VP of Sales and Marketing, "Didn't we give you a discount on your home?". Let me clarify his question. The home was already discounted before we looked at and was listed at the discounted price. Maybe it should have been a big red flag they had to discount the home to sell it. I purchased a Bloomfield Home at Kreymer Estates in Wylie, TX in 2013. Scott Silvis, the Sales Manager and Dean the Builder are the best! I have owned many homes in the past and can say this was the best building experience I have ever had! These 2 men know the home building business inside and out! There are no headaches. The quality of the homes and the beautiful neighborhood with the mature trees and walking paths at these prices can't be found anywhere else in the Dallas area. We have been in our home now for about 2 years and are still as happy with our home as the day we moved in! They honor their warranty and stay in contact with the homeowners by having catered neighborhood parties and Scott can be seen driving the neighborhood all the time talking to the homeowners. I have never lived in a neighborhood as nice as this! There hasn't even been a resale here in 2 years! That speaks for itself. So glad I bought a Bloomfield Home in Wylie! read more

We purchased a new home in phase 3 in Kreymer Estates in Wylie, Texas. Scott Silvas is the sales manager and Dean Galitz is the construction manager. Because of weather delays back in the spring of 2016 (remember the hail? We do, we had about $200,000 in damage between our old home and our business!) we spent a year in the building process. From the start Scott and Dean were great! We were very particular because the house was a big investment and this was to be our last home. Let me say up front this is absolutely a beautiful home! Scott walked us thru the buying/design phase very professionally, Vicky Silvas (Scott's wife) was a great help designing the look of the home by helping us pick out colors and materials. Vicky loves designing and it shows! We were very involved during the entire build process (I am retired and we have lived in Wylie for over 30 years. We also lived about a mile from our new home). Scott decided I was a curmudgeon since I was a pest, but a lovable one! Scott and Dean were both wonderful during the whole process. I come from a family of carpenters who have built multi-million dollar projects and several homes, including their own, and I know just enough to be dangerous. I had 2 of my brothers and my dad check out the Bloomfield homes under construction in various phases, they had nothing but praise for the quality of the construction. Scott and Dean always had wonderful attitudes during the difficult process of designing our home. No matter how many times we changed our minds they never acted like we were imposing on them. Our home turned out beautifully and we love it. Of course nothing is ever perfect on the first try and what minor things we found they immediately corrected.
