I asked some questions via email, this was a home we were really hoping to see (rental property). I got a short one line reply that it was leased. I replied back and asked if there were other properties in the same area. He never bothered to respond. So I contacted Lisa Biddy. We had met her when we originally searched for a rental property a year ago and had just moved to the area. She set up a search with our specific parameters and we began receiving emails. However, we had some specific needs for the home we rent, so there were not many available. We expanded our search expecting this to take some time. We were doing all of this while also traveling quite a bit. I received an extremely rude email from Lisa stating she did not believe we were serious about finding a home because we had not made any appointments to see one. Ummm, we are out of town!! She also stated we must be working with another realtor and no, we were not. The truth is, in the search of what was coming up, we had found 1 or 2 houses that might work, and I would have seen had we been in town. We weren't sure the price was right and didn't want to waste her time with viewing a home we weren't completely serious about renting. Frankly, it seemed this realtor was not on board for a search that might take some time and it ultimately would take some time due to our travel schedule and our specific area we were looking in. Not many were coming available that met our needs with hardwood floors and a yard in our price range/area. We were willing to wait for the right home but EBBY Realtors are just out to turn a buck. It's such a disappointment that this company has no clue how to treat a client who will ultimately be buying a home and the real estate agent we use now, will also be who we use when we buy in another year or so. There are too many agents out there to deal with this crappy company who needs a lesson in manners and customer service.

It took about 3 months, but we finally found that perfect place. Saw over 30 houses during that time. I'd been involved in plumbing and electrical repairs before, as the apprentice for my Dad and brother, but never really paid attention. To say it was a learning experience would not even come close to giving it justice. No doubt everyone learns a lot during the home buying process. The very cool part was I was getting info on what to look for at each place, ideas on how to manage things and overall real estate knowledge I wasn't expecting, based on my previous experiences with a realtor when renting. Course, renting means you're just happy you have a place for your stuff that you can afford, if something breaks, you don't care...it's the landlord's problem. Throughout the process, Russell's knowledge and dedication to assisting me in buying my first place were top notch. When family issues got in the way, and I temporarily put the search on hold, it didn't faze him and when I was available again, we hit the ground running. While I'm glad I finally own a home, and saved lots of money in the process, there is no doubt it wouldn't have happened as well if I had another agent. If/when I buy another house, or sell my new one....I'll be working with Russell again.

The unit is in poor condition and is severely overpriced. You can expect a rent increase of over 10% and little urgency and pushback when it comes to maintenance requests. I live next to one of their developments that is currently under construction. They are the worst…read moreneighbors to have by far, far beyond living next to even normal construction. None of their construction workers speak English, unless you count the derogatory comments they make towards me at all times of day. Taking my dog for a walk, bringing work materials to my car, pretty much any time I walk in or out I am sexually harassed. They are also incredibly dirty! There is a fence dividing the properties but you would never know it due to the amount of 8x10' pieces of ply wood, trash and nails that are constantly on this side of the fence. Last wk, my dog was chewing on a nail and this wk I have a nail in my tire that I now have to get replaced bc of them. They also leave trash from their lunches in the bushes, all over the street and on our stoop....which we then get emails about cleaning up from MY apt management company even though it is entirely out of our control. Management is unresponsive. I highly recommend not paying the $1Mil price point on Clark st. for the now certainly mold infested property that has been flooded for the last 6 months while all of the wood (internal and external) has been exposed the entire time. My fiancé and I will never purchase a property you develop now that we know all of the corners you cut.

This left me no choice but to reach out to her boss, Melanie. I did this because I did not want the seller to be "left in the dark" and sued due to Ellie's lack of responsiveness. After speaking with Melanie's manager, the situation was even worse. She was dismissive, rude, and defensive. She tried to claim that we should have all "communicated" about removing appliances which is completely ABSURD. The contract is clear: once funds are released and closing occurs, the seller has no right to enter the home or remove anything. This is not a matter of "he said, she said." This was a breech of contract. As buyers & sellers, we rely on professionals to guide us through this process. Ellie simply closed this deal and ghosted everyone. Melanie L.
