The restaurant has 2 addresses. Check them on their website because the one in the 11th arrondissement is no longer what I can read on Yelp. It's now on avenue Parmentier (Metro Parmentier or Goncourt).
I went to the one avenue Parmentier for a Sunday Brunch.
PROS:
- The owner was very kind. All the food is made there with fresh ingredients. The week menu is diverse but always includes some vegetarian options (as well as non vegetarian). The brunch is vegetarian and really good (the only disappointing part, from 3 of us, was the homemade waffles). It includes a cocotte (imagine an egg with cream / cheese cooked in a small brioche) served with sautéed potatoes and a green salad, and then you can pick 4 items among a list including beverages, scones, yogurt, savory options... The jam was to die for.
- If you are a vegan, it's a little bit trickier but the owner was nice enough to prepare a plate with beans, potatoes or rice, and different veggies.
CONS:
- The place is probably a previous tiny shop, which they converted into a food place. It's really intimate (there are ONLY 2 TABLES, of 4 and 8 high stools, if I remember well). So if you're with a baby, it's a little tricky (they don't provide any baby chair. The tables are higher than standard sizes, and bringing your own baby chair will get your baby seated way lower than the rest of the table).
- For brunch, you need to make a reservation. During the week, the place is more a takeaway one.
- They have no bathroom in the restaurant. They share a bathroom with the building next door which will be helpful if you desperately need to relieve yourself, but expect a loo less fancy then what you'd expect if it were in the restaurant. The owner will accompany you there, give you a bag containing some toilet paper and then you'll come back to wash your hands in the kitchen sink. read more
