I was seriously craving a croissant: a ham and gruyere croissant, and of course, Bloom was the first place that came to mind. We stopped by after a Trader Joe's run, and as always, the place smelled amazing. I had my heart set on their cruffins but they were already sold out (no surprise there!). Bloom's only open Wednesday through Sunday, and their cruffins tend to disappear early in the day. I didn't pre-order this time since my schedule was up in the air, but honestly, their cruffins are always worth planning ahead for. It's my go-to spot when I'm craving something special and sweet.

Ordered the butter croissant, almond croissant, and monkey bread. The monkey bread was literally one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten!! The cappuccino was also delicious.

A neighborhood bakery across the street from Trader Joes worth stopping in! As you walk in, the smell of fresh baked breads and pastries will bring a smile to your face! Very cute interior with baked goods displayed nicely. I don't believe there is seating available so for take-away only. A line can form, but it moves quickly. The staff were all friendly and approachable. This visit I ordered their carrot cake slice and sweet potato donut. Both were delicious. The carrot cake was moist and flavorful and the donut was dense which I liked. I'm a fan of cake donuts and this was more dense than that. The sweet potato donuts are $3 each which I thought was a little steep, but worth it to try at least once. They also offer sandwiches, but I didn't try this time. Ask the staff for their rewards "punch" card which they punch each time you make a purchase and can be redeemed for discounted products. Only downside is parking in that area can be tough as there is only limited street parking. I will definitely return to satisfy my sweet tooth!

Biscuit breakfast sandwich also so good

We were in Madison for the weekend and promised to take our son to the zoo. We wanted to grab a quick bite somewhere close so we could avoid paying for overpriced concessions. A quick yelp search and we found Bloom and I'm beyond glad we did. Their croissant breakfast sandwich is easily in contention for the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my life. The buttery flaky croissant, with the aioli and hearty mustard. Quality bacon and eggs. It just doesn't get much better. Luckily we got in early before the line formed.

    Almond croissants

The almond croissant couldn't have been better, there was a line out the door when I got there but they still managed to serve me in less than 10 minutes and had everything boxed up in seconds, the iced coffee I ordered took them about 5-8 minutes to get to but they made 5 or 7 other drinks in that time so still outstanding and very good coffee

I think I just found my new favorite sandwich -Focaccia prosciutto at Bloom! Did not expect them to have such great sandwiches but I was blown away! Focaccia was so light and perfectly salty. Pesto was mellow and I'm glad it wasn't too much. The other bakery items we got were amazing of course. The winter sugar cookie is really cute, not super sweet and the perfect ratio of cookie / frosting. We also picked up a bag of dog treats / biscuits. They make a great Christmas gift for pet friends! Sometimes it can get a little cramped by the entrance if there are people waiting in line and others waiting for food orders to be called. Regardless I'm always impressed by how fast the ordering process goes, even when there's a line out the door.

Bloom does no wrong!! I've enjoyed treats from here before for my bestie's wedding, so coming back on a recent trip was an absolute must. As a GF girlie, I don't often find spots that knock it out of the park, but Bloom absolutely does. There's a line pretty much any time of day, it's that good. But the team is speedy and the line moves fast, so don't be scared off by it! Also note that they are maximizing their space inside so their is no indoor seating provided. Enjoy on a park bench outside or as you're walking around the shops. There's not a single bad thing on the menu. They have breads, pastries, cakes, a deli menu, coffee menu, and sweet and savory treats alike. I was drooling over the looks of the Japanese milk breads and the "beautiful messes" - leftover cake and frosting in a to-go container. Yum! If you're looking for guidance: - Their sweet potato doughnuts are famous for a reason - Vegan gluten-free banana chocolate chip coffee cake is the most heavenly thing - and you'd never know it's vegan and GF - Breakfast sammies from here are unreal! They offer a GF biscuit for their breakfast sandwiches, and it was divine. Buttery, salty, warm and delicious - I'm still dreaming about it. Service is friendly and efficient, and it makes me smile to see this local small business absolutely crushing it. Go check them out!

    Delicious!

This is an awesome place. My niece was getting married and we needed a cake to fit her dietary needs and they had it! Everything here is delicious and the staff was phenomenal! Another successful trip to Bloom. We tried their famous sweet potato donuts finally which were soft and spongy. Their chocolate chip cookie never disappoints either. We love their array of savory and sweet options. Whatever you're in the mood for, Bloom has it covered. Arguably the best bakery in town. I highly recommend Bloom for all the baked goods lovers like myself.

Ginger and molasses cookie (forgot about the picture until I was already mostly through it :-) )

Stopped by while in the area. Grabbed a mocha and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff was friendly and helpful. Both item were delicious it was a perfect mocha and the cookie had the distinct flavors of ginger and molasses with a wonderful texture. Excellent all around. The inside is a little cramped but they have a lot going on so it makes sense.

    Pain au chocolat

We popped into Bloom this Saturday around 1PM, and they were running low on their loaf offerings. But they had plenty of baked goods and desserts to go around. We ordered a pain au chocolat and an almond croissant filled with an almond spread. Both were flaky and phenomenal. We also bought a black pepper and Parmesan sourdough loaf and it was DIVINE. We made half of the loaf into a garlic bread, and the other half we ate with some butter as a breakfast bread. The inside of the bakery was already packed when we got there, and the line stretched to the door by the time we left. The bakery is bright and well decorated, reminding me of patisseries in Paris! The staff was super friendly, and asked customers in line if they had any questions prior to getting to the register. We can't wait to go attend and try other goodies! Get there as early as possible on the weekends to ensure you have the best selection of bakes!

The bakery had small but wonderful selection of baked items. We were able to try the croissants, sweet potato donuts and a cruffin.

Ask the Community - Bloom Bake Shop

This comes up in my search for a gluten free place, but is it really?

YES. They keep their GF stuff in a separate case so there's never any cross-contamination. And this is quite possibly the best GF bake shop I've ever enjoyed. :)…
