Ted is the best, by far.. small town but huge talent!! He will do all our cars, now and in the future!

I recently met the owner, Ted Blood, at a drag race and was very impressed by his pleasant demeanor and friendly personality. His dad and uncle both live near me, and everyone in the Blood family is extremely nice to be around. I was even more impressed when I walked into this shop! Ted obviously knows his stuff! He tells me he learned a ton of his old school tricks and techniques from his dad, who is retired from the auto body industry. What Ted learned truly shows in his craftsmanship and the extremely high quality of his work. I haven't seen one car or truck roll out of this shop that wasn't smooth as glass, with seams and body lines so crisp and precise that you would never have any idea the car had been previously in an accident! I've seen a couple cars in his shop completely torn apart down to the bare frame, then saw that same car once it was back together and all I can say is this guy DOES know his stuff! He's a very honest guy, with strong Christian values and ethics. Ted will never think of ripping off a customer! And believe me, in my 40+ years around cars and many years working in the automotive industry, I've seen my share of crooked shops who were only out to make a buck. Some could care less if you ever come back once they get your money. Not Blood's! Ted feeds his family from his business, so customer satisfaction is obviously one of his biggest goals. He is fully aware that once you try his shop and are happy with the work performed on your vehicle, you will tell your friends and you will also be back when you need his services again. I've worked as an auto mechanic at many shops over the years, and I can spot an honest shop who cares about their customers. Blood's Old School Autoworks is one of those shops. You can rest easily knowing your vehicle, whether it be in for auto body repairs or custom modifications and paint, will be treated like Ted owns it himself. You WILL be happy with his work. i had the privledge of getting my truck backed into and needed to find a body shop to do the work. unfortunatly i came across bloods old school auto and fell for the owners (Ted Blood) hype and promises. He said that it would be a simple repair to replace the side of the bed and fix a small dent in the cab. While i was there I also mentioned that I would like to get my headlights replaced since they were getting discolored. He said " no problem" and that he wouldn't even charge me labor for them. He went on to say that he would make my truck shine like new all the way around by giving it a detail. I had a spray in bed liner that I was worried about matching the rest of the bed in color and texture and Ted assured me that it would be no problem, it may not be the exact shade when done but it would be "very close if not perfect". Ted took me inside the shop to look at a few cars he was working on and I liked what I seen and felt good about all the smoke he was blowing so I decided to have mt truck repaired there. I dropped my truck off and about a week later I picked it up. The first thing I noticed is that the back door did not open very easily. Since I don't use it a lot I didn't think much of it. A few days later I noticed that the tailgate was hard to open and close. It opened very easily and freely before I droped it off but again I didn't care to much since it still opened and closed. A few weeks later I went to open the back door and something popped inside it and I was unable to get the door open. When I called to let Ted know what had happened he told me that I broke it and that he would fix it but he would likely have to charge me for it since it is almost always something that breaks in the door. I let him know about it being difficult to open since I got it back but he still wanted to blame me. I took it bac to him and he ended up fixing it for free so he must have determined that it was indeed the fault of his shop but he still wanted to argue over it. When I got it home I had to open the tailgate and rememberd that it was hard to open as well so I looked it over and realized the the bushing in the hinge was missing, it was there prior to going to his shop when he removed it to work on it but I did not want to deal with his attitude and orded a replacement myself to install. I do not drive this truck much maybe one day a week if that, I had an electric moter that a friend of mine wanted so I told him I would drive it down to him about a week after I got this back from him for the second time. I would estimate that I had 500 to 750 miles on the truck since I originally had it in his shop the first time. When I was heading back home I noticed a cluncking noise coming from my truck, I got out and crawled under it to see if I could tell what was happening. I did not notice anything and though it may be a wheel bearing so I decided to ease it home to tear it apart and look for the problem. I didn't make it home. As I was driving through a construction zone my wheel and tire fell off. The brake drum nearly missed a worker and the tire almost went head on into an oncoming car. I nearly killed 2 people because the wheel came off. I have never had a wheel come off before and thought about how that could have happened. The next morning I remembered that Ted's Old School Auto had taken off my rear wheels to repair my bed. I then realized that their poor workmanship led to them not tightening the lug nuts when they put the wheels back on. The next day I stopped by to speak to Ted and let him know what happened. The first thing that came out of his mouth was a storm of denial. He said it wasn't his fault, they never took off the wheels, blah, blah, blah. After a few minutes of talking to him he still swore that the wheels were never removed and he took me out to the shop and asked the guy that worked on my truck if he removed the wheels. The worker answered "yes, I had to.". As soon as the worker said that Ted stated "but we torqued them". Well, Ted, if you were so sure that the wheels were never removed, that my back door broke after you worked on it and that was my fault, then how can you be so sure that your worker torqued the nuts??? I cannot fit the whole story in here, but will say Ted told me to fix it and he would pay me back. I took it to a shop and brought the bill to Ted and he flat out refused. Ted is the most untrustwothy person I have ever dealt with on a business level. I would never recomend his shop, and if you know anything about him and his family you can tell that the 1 posotive review was written by them. STAY AWAY!!! i now have to go to court, it is a waste of my time but it was a $1500 repair that he should have taken care of.
