I had such a great experience Mobile Med!…read more Charity Manning, the owner, is a licensed phlebotomist and certified medical assistant who comes right to your home to do blood draws. This is an incredible service for anyone who is sick, homebound, or simply unable to get what they need done at a lab. In my case, the lab actually wouldn't do the bloodwork I needed to donate a kidney, so having someone come to me made the whole process possible. Charity was professional, very communicative, and incredibly gentle and kind during the draw. She made me feel at ease and took care of everything (she came to my house, drew my blood and even took my bloodwork to FedEx for dropoff) I plan on using her services in the future not only for myself, but also for my kids. Having someone trustworthy and skilled come to the house is such a relief! Highly recommended.

I can't take it anymore. As a long time patient I can honestly say that Dr. Limvarapuss is the…read moreworst. To start with, this guy refuses to use Epic or integrate with it in any way--the system that everybody else uses. This means that none of my other doctors can see anything about my history with him--no blood tests, no notes, no diagnoses and it makes it very hard on all my other providers and me. I had my primary care physician say to me that he hadn't seen a blood test for me for years and I have one every 6 months! Every time I need this data shared I have to call his office, talk to somebody in records and give them the information of the doctor to share records with and they don't often actually do it. I had to hand him my phone with the John Muir health app open so he could read notes from my cardiologist after I specifically called his office before my appointment and told them to give him the notes from the same cardiologist. Even more annoying, the in-house labs kept charging me copays then also sending me a paper bill for like $2 after the fact. I get the same tests every time, why can't you figure out what this costs and charge me all at once instead of wasting my time paying paper bills. I got fed up with that and went to a lab on the 2nd floor of the same building but because he doesn't play well with Epic I have to hand deliver paper orders--what is it 1985? Even worse, I was left for over an hour sitting in the exam room on 2 separate occasions because he was "busy". I only see this guy once every 6 months so the ratio of him being on time vs extremely late is pretty sad. The final straw was that he and his staff checked me into a virtual appointment and then I guess they forgot about me because 90 minutes later I call the office from my phone and its closed! I get the answering service to get him on the line and he acts like he had no idea why I was scheduled to see him--dude, you asked me to come to this appointment! I have never been so disrespected by a doctor.

I witnessed a nurse giving pre-op and post-op surgical instructions in the waiting room! He was more interested in chastising a patient in pain. If it didn't involve invasive procedures, he refers you back to your primary. I walked out angry and upset. Unprofessional office. The person who received my call was very pleasant and nice. I was able to schedule an appointment at my home for the blood draw the following morning. The person who I spoke with, Bernadeth, explained the blood draw procedure and told me she would be at my house at 8 AM the following day The following day I received a text from Bernadeth telling me that she was on her way. Bernadeth arrived at my house a little early and messaged me if it was OK to do the blood draw now. I told her it was fine. I opened the door and was met by Bernadeth who was dressed appropriately and in fresh scrubs. Bernadeth presented me with her business card and politely asked if she could come in. She entered my house and asked me if there was a place I felt comfortable for the blood draw. I directed her to my kitchen. Bernadeth was very professional, put on rubber gloves, laid out a sterile pad on my kitchen table, and explained the procedure to me. Bernadeth found a vein she liked and carefully cleansed the area where the needle was to enter my vein. Bernadeth's skill in placement of the needle was fantastic and I didn't even feel the poke nor any pain at all! After the draw, Bernadeth placed the needle in a sharps container, gathered all the equipment she had used for the blood draw, and put them into a plastic bag. Bernadeth explained the procedure for the results, thanked me, and left my house. I would like to pass on that the level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and sanitation and safety practices were greater than I expected. The in-home service was so convenient for me and the cost was extremely fair compared to if I had to travel to a clinic for a blood draw. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Lay Lab for any blood draw procedures you may need!

I like that all of the records are kept in the computer system, not on a piece of paper. Actually takes the time to talk to you and get to hear about your concerns, then gives proper advice. I was asked on my first visit what meds I was taking while standing at the receptionist desk, and thought that was a bit odd - there wasn't anyone else in the waiting room, but had there been, I would have been uncomfortable with that. Very minor, but just saying, ya know...?! Elana, the medical assistant, rocks and is very personable! With the exception of Dr. Lieb and Dr. Niufar, good doctors in Antioch are hard to come by.
