Located one block from the Insurgentes metro station, this is a great affordable hotel that is in and near a safe area with a bunch of restaurants. The street is busy (car-wise), but the windows are pretty soundproof so there is not much noise. It is basically the financial and downtown area, so a lot of high rises and weekday workers are a few blocks away. I never felt unsafe walking around during the day or late evening, but you should always take precaution.
I got a room with a king bed, it was spacious enough with a kitchenette, of which I did not use. The bathroom is sufficient, but the showerhead is overhead from above, so that may be something different. There's a coffeemaker, toaster, free bottled water, and plates can be asked for at the front desk. The AC was fine, security was good...there really isn't a lobby, just the front desk that leads to the elevator and stairs in 5 feet.
The view from the rooftop is great, there is also a jacuzzi, which I didn't use since someone was in there when I went. The free breakfast is okay, it's nothing special...eggs, sandwich items, cereal, pastries, cookies, juice, coffee, waffles....it's great to have the option, but I only had it once. read more
