Gorgeous property and great location. From the moment we arrived from our early red eye flight the front desk mgr took care of us! He already took note of our arrival and allowed us to check into our room so we can get a few hours of sleep before our Frida kahlo museum reservation later that morning. Even better they had prepared nice welcoming gifts for the girls and had a nice fruit & dessert tray set up for us when we came back to our room later in the day. There is a passport scavenger hunt for the kids & they were rewarded with stamps and treats from the cafe and special drinks from the restaurant bar. It was also a great way to explore the property and get stamps along the way. There is a small pool, 24 hr gym, and a spa on property. Loved the courtyard so much. It's so beautiful and perfect area to start your morning with a coffee or to unwind at the end of day with meal or drink. Staff and hostess at fifty mils went above & beyond for our family and was so sweet and attentive. They even brought out extra dessert and drinks for us on the house . The hotel is located in a great neighborhood. It's within walking distance of the chapultepec park & castle. Highly recommended! Would def stay here again when we return to cdmx. read more

Loved staying here. My only other reference for CDMX is the St. Regis. That hotel was great too, but it was your typical high rise hotel. Here, at the Four Seasons there are only 8 floors. Why is this a great feature? Well, there is a wonderful open courtyard in the middle of the hotel. It is a quiet sanctuary to come back to after spending time in one of the largest cities of the world. Service is outstanding. The restaurants are great. The Italian one (IL BECCO) was a wonderful detour to familiar food presented perfectly. FIFTY MILS is a unique casual break with the courtyard as a centerpiece for enjoying a light meal or drink. ZANAYA RESTAURANT is also courtyard side. They have a brunch to die for here and an amazing breakfast as well. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Room service worked well too. I needed the services of dry cleaning too and everything was back quicker than expected. Of course the location being on PASEO DE LA REFORMA is outstanding as well. read more

This was my first time at a Four Seasons. Decided to splurge on this trip and my first impression was underwhelming. Most of my luxury stays have been in exotic rural locations, so my comparison points were private pools, huge room area (not that this isn't big enough). I spent a lot of time outside and didn't have much to write home about. The second day onward, my partner got really sick. I called them for some hot water and thereafter, they called every few hours for the next couple days to check on her. We had to stay in quite a bit for the next two days, and every room service meal came with complimentary hot water, chamomile tea, and delicious desserts on two separate occasions (they knew it was my birthday). They also arranged for a doctor to come check her (it did cost around 200 USD but the convenience of it was everything). At a time when we needed it, their service and thoughtfulness really shined. First impressions aren't always the most indicative, and in this case it really wasn't. Also, their room service fare was delicious! Salmon was perfect, guacamole was out of the world, we even got a customized pasta which hit the craving (this is sick day food, don't worry we did eat enough local fare). Enjoyed a breakfast at Zanaya on our last day. A pity we couldn't check out their bar this time. 10/10 would come back here again. read more

Well, I guess I can never stay anywhere else when visiting CDMX. Four Seasons truly delivered on all aspects of our stay and I will definitely return. - the staff across the board were exceptional and have all clearly been trained to very high standards. I was very impressed with every single person I encountered and thought they were all so helpful and kind. - the hotel itself is like a calm away from the storm of the city. The courtyard is gorgeous and the spaces throughout are so beautifully designed. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and they were so quiet. - we were upgraded for our anniversary and they even left a treat in our room the first night--such a delightful surprise! - the food was all delicious. Zanaya and Pan Dulce were both excellent and we went multiple times to both. 50 Mils was ok; I would've preferred better mocktails. Overall, I think the hotel is worth the cost and would highly recommend it. read more

I am a vegetarian and the staff knew that. I went to Il Becco for Christmas Eve dinner at $5000 Mexican pesos per person. I was served an amuse Bouche which contained beef. I was not told this until I ate it and could see it contained meat. They then served me another beef entree which they insisted was not meat. I could not eat it. We had a comfortable stay at FS Mexico City this week. The hotel is centrally located, quick walk to Chapultepec park, Polanco, Roma Norte, Condesa, etc. and even though the hotel is in the middle of the city, most of the rooms face inward, facing the courtyard , so it feels quiet. Service was not quite was I expected from a Four Seasons: - it's not clear what's included in the breakfast buffet & what's not. and which breakfast is included in the room rate. - we had a bunch of extra charges when we checked out: for the breakfasts that were included in our room rate, alcohol that we did not consume. this was later fixed. - a staff member who greeted us at the pool offered to bring us a menu, but never came back with a mani. I ended up ordering through the app. - booking transportation through the hotel is ridiculously expensive ($60 USD for airport drop off vs $10-15 with Uber), so I told them I didn't need transportation arranged. Transportation was accidentally arranged anyway and I had to cancel. - none of these issues were a huge deal, but just experienced more errors than I would expect I stayed at the St. Regis the last time I visited Mexico City, and would recommend Four Seasons over St. Regis. It's much quieter because my room didn't face the street. read more

The four seasons is a hidden jewel and oasis in such an enormous and amazing city. Their Sunday brunch is a highlight and they featured live music on the day I was visiting. Their food is amazing and staff are present and attending every station. Their cafe was one of my favorite places to go since it's not busy or overcrowded and they feature delicate pastries. Their bathrooms are impeccably clean and smell like fresh roses, also marble floors and marble countertops all Over the place. I guess we should not have stayed at the Sofitel on our first night because the Four Seasons definitely suffered by comparison. We could only book Four Seasons Saturday-Monday. We arrived for our reservation at 3:30pm Saturday, 1/2 hour after the stated check-in time. The lobby and garden were an absolute ZOO, as there was a local fashion event happening. Possibly as a result, we were told it would be 20 minutes before we could check in but we could have a drink -- on the hotel -- in the lobby. We happily agreed ... thinking of a nice Aperol Spritz ... but the man took us over to the coffee bar. But, whatever... right? We waited in the (busy) garden. And waited. And waited long past the 20 minutes mark. Finally went to the front desk again and made a small stink about it. We were able to check in 10 minutes later. So ... fine, right? Got to our room, which was nice. But kind of stodgy and small... compared to the newer and fancier Sofitel, at least. The location was really great (not far from Sofitel, actually!) However, the only amenity at the vaunted (and more pricey) Four Seasons that was better than Sofitel is that Four Seasons has a nice (but small) outdoor pool. (Just don't try to order a drink or food when the rest of the hotel is busy.) In any case, rating Four Seasons with 3 stars (just okay). We'll be staying at Sofitel or some other less expensive, but nicer, hotel next time. read more

Our room was immaculate with a wonderful view over the courtyard with beautiful lighting at night and a great place to decompress with your mojito. The service was ok - they may have had a few employees call in sick. The short walk to Chapultepec Park park and the Museo is simple. La Mansion is a must for a dinner or two. We stayed at the FS Mexico City for 3 nights and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil place to stay in a perfect location within the City. On arrival, our flight was delayed and we had a tight window to make our coveted window at Pujol. The FS arranged driver got us in ahead of schedule, the front desk checked us in lightning fast, the concierge called the restaurant on our behalf, and they had a car ready for us after check in. We made it due to the FS's top notch service. Our room was great with a beautiful courtyard view and it was sufficiently well insulated to never bother us with noise. The courtyard was decorated beautifully for Valentine's Day. We enjoyed brunch at Zanaya, the restaurant with a patio on the courtyard. The food quality wasn't quite up to par with other FS properties, but it was still very good and a fair value. Cars arranged through the hotel were often nicer than uber black, more reliable, and at least as affordable for the most part. The room was a generous size for entry level and consistent with FS quality. We did notice that the shower door & toilet seat wouldn't stay in place. I'm sure it could've been fixed expediently if we asked, but it wasn't worth the trouble. We were extremely satisfied with the quality of linens, products and service. Scheduling cleanings & turn down service through the app is incredible. We live that this place is a beautiful oasis in the heart of the city. If you're visiting Mexico City, I doubt there's a better place to stay. read more

I have found my new favorite hotel! This hotel is more than a just a hotel - it is an entire experience. It is a beautiful, lush oasis in the heart of the bustling city, and it provides comfort, calm, and safety to make your stay everything you need. The architecture is also pleasing. It is aesthetically the most lovely hotel I've visited. From check-in to check-out, we were greeted with friendly smiles and attentive staff. Everyone was on hand to help, and while there was noticeable security throughout the stay, they were not intrusive or uncomfortable. The only place the staff dropped the ball was when a large portion of the hotel was closed for a special fashion week event. They told us at check-in (but not before) that the bar would be closed. Unfortunately, it was the bar AND the gardens in the courtyard, which was a disappointment, but it didn't detract from our stay too much. The rooms were very well-appointed and extremely comfortable. The beds were soft. The bathroom was large and offered a separate soaking tub in addition to a shower. Bottled water was plentiful and replaced daily. Perhaps my favorite feature was the window that opened wide, allowing fresh air and full views of the courtyard below. Location was superb, great for walking or taking an Uber to other parts of the city. Concierge was friendly and quick to offer assistance, including dinner recommendations and easy reservations. I did not stay here as a guest but came over to have some drinks at the bar. First of all the Four Seasons has an amazing reputation for good reason. Their hotel was incredible and their bar has some of the best craft cocktails in Mexico. The bartender was good at helping me narrow down the choices on the menu and I landed on two drinks that were both new to me but also delicious. For those who go to places just for those Instagram worthy pictures look no further. It was chic, gorgeous, and will be getting a visit from me next time I'm in Mexico! read more

I would ideally give the Four Seasons a 4.8, but we'll round up for this purpose. Was it safe for family of 5? With a question, absolutely. Breakfast & brunch & dinner at Zanaya? Finger licking' delicious! Dinner at the Italian restaurant? 5 stars Cleanliness? 5 stars Customer service? 4.8 stars Gym- 5 stars (clean, they provide water bottles, clean towels, small snacks, gatorade, and tea/coffee) Pool- 3.5 stars Room- 5 stars Proximity to all the spots we visited during this trip? 5 stars Our family of 5 stayed here for 5 nights, and we couldn't have been happier and more at ease here. My only gripe was that one morning we didn't have running water, which means no toilet, sink, or shower. They had initially told us a day in advance that it would be from 11 PM- 5 AM which spilled over until 7:30AM- 8AM. Although that night they did make up for it by sending us a bottle of Moet Chandon along with a cheese platter which was such an unexpected and thoughtful gift! This hotel is not just a hotel, you receive an experience here. From the lush green veranda, to the spectacular food... The hotel staff are VERY helpful, and always smiling which makes you feel comfortable as well. The staff really goes out of their way to ensure the people staying there are taken care of. While we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are very much looking forward to our next visit to MC because of the Four Seasons, no hotel will ever be "perfect". There will always be small hiccups here and there, but overall, spectacular hotel and beautiful city. While I would be interested in visiting the St. Regis next time, the Four Seasons gave us such a peaceful experience, I can't imagine what could be better than the FS Mexico City! We loved our stay at this hotel! It's probably my favorite of the urban Four Seasons hotels (versus resorts) that I've stayed at. It's a beautiful oasis and the courtyard that the hotel and rooms are built around is very unique. Great place for drinks and relaxing, and beautiful too with lights and landscaping. When we were there the fountain was even decorated for Valentine's Day and it was lovely. Our room was very spacious (including a sizable shower) and impeccably maintained. Bed was particularly comfortable. We arrived to a heart shaped dessert in our room for Valentine's Day which was a nice touch. L'Occitane amenities were great. House keeping service was perfect and we loved being able to schedule house keeping and turn down service through the app. Even though all the rooms faced the courtyard, and we overlooked the bar, we had no issues with noise whatsoever! Overall it was a really quiet atmosphere which I appreciated. Service for the most part was impeccable. Everyone was very friendly. It was very easy (and actually really affordable all things considered) to secure transportation around Mexico City through the Four Seasons. Our driver from the airport was particularly outstanding!! Our flight was delayed getting in and when he found out we would be rushing to make our reservation at Pujol, he did everything to help us get their fast and safely (which we did). He even assisted us in contacting Pujol to try to move our reservations back and he reached out to the concierge at the hotel to give them a heads up about our arrival so check in was expedited (which it was). The only issue we had was with one of the bellman/greeters who called my husband an "asshole" in Spanish (which he didn't think my husband spoke) because he didn't tip him for handing us some bottles of water. Definitely was really unprofessional and shocking for any hotel, let alone the Four Seasons. Other than this issue, we had a great stay. We even ate brunch (the buffet) on our final morning and the food was top quality as was service. I would stay here again! read more

Def one of my favorite hotels so far. A level service, cleanliness, and over all satisfaction. Conveniently located in the central of Mexico City, right by the Chapultepec park and the fact road of reforms closes on Sunday night make it more enjoyable. My favorite parts are the nice garden in the center of the hotel where I could hide away from the noisy city and that the hotel presents a pleasantly combined modern yet cultural look in its decorations and paintings. This was our second time back within a year. We decided to book something for NYE a week out. I wasn't that excited since I had just come back from a trip two days prior but hey- it's NYE, why not. The hotel was having a party for NYE with fireworks etc and decided to stay here again. I loved the Christmas decor. I also loved that on New Year's Day they had a champagne/Bloody Mary booth for all hotel guests to enjoy. Complimentary of course. I really love this place. Will def be back. read more

Booked a room for a wedding and they informed me after I already arrived from a separate hotel and waiting around for an entire hour that I in fact didn't have a room because of "plumbing issues" and telling me there was no way I could stay there and had to go back to the hotel I just came from (which is nice). They knew about the plumbing issues, if that is even true, before I ever arrived (for at least an entire day) but didn't inform me until after making me wait. When I asked them why they couldn't just tell me before I switched hotels they had no answer. And still haven't giving me one. Instead I wasted a half day going back and forth checking in and out of hotels and not at the hotel where all the wedding guests are. read more

Staying at the Four Seasons hotel in Mexico City was truly a five-star experience. From the moment we arrived we were provided with the finest service imaginable. Julio César Becerril is the best concierge I've ever had the joy of working with. He handled EVERYTHING. He helped us choose excellent restaurants based on our food and atmosphere selections. He was 100% right. He also arranged a terrific guide for us to explore the city every day. Fabricio Rivera was an extraordinary guide who took us on on adventures to the Pyramids, the shrine, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera sites and more. He was so knowledgable and fluent in English, he explained every detail. You couldn't find a better guide. In addition, I had become very interested in a particular artist in Mexico - and the concierge Julio spent the time to figure out how to contact him - and arranged for us to go to the artist's studio and meet him. A once in a lifetime experience. About the hotel and rooms - it is upscale, spacious, modern and chic, with a gorgeous courtyard brimming with greenery and flowers that incorporate the bar and restaurant. The front desk manager, Dolores Gutierrez, was so terrific she attended to every detail. And when we had to communicate with a medical facility in another town, Dolores took considerable time to make all the necessary arrangements. It was a huge relief for us. They were all super kind and professional. We were especially impressed with how they greeted us with champagne and balloons for our wedding anniversary. These people are awesome! read more

My friends I recently visited this location and were wrongfully accused of stealing and then were made promises that they even promised in writing in email that they never delivered on. It all started when we arrived to a really poor produced NYE event. We checked in and were given our wristbands for open bar which they obviously had on record that we paid for. We then were taken to our table that had an obstructed view of the band and mixing boards. We then went back to the front to try and get our seats changed since there appeared to be plenty of empty seats available, but the staff was unable to accommodate indicating seats were prearranged, and that certain individuals/groups were promised certain seats, even though they purchased the same tickets as us. Seating arrangements were never discussed with us when we purchased our tickets, and had we known ahead of time where we would be seated, we would not have elected to attend. This table was not fair to anyone seated at it, quite frankly should not existed, given its poor location. The gentleman checking us in said give me some time and let me see what I can do which I knew was just an excuse to get us to sit down. Not once did he come and check on us the whole night to see how we were doing. Once seated there was a great deal of confusion with our serving staff, who did not speak any English. I understand I am in another country but a hotel with the Four Seasons reputation and stature should know they will be getting guests from around the world and be prepared to accommodate them as best as possible. If not, a simple heads up would have been appreciated. The waiter made us feel like the whole meal was being rushed and twice tried to take someone's plate without even asking if they were finished. When we went to go watch the fireworks in the courtyard one of the staff members thought we were leaving and literally grabbed my friend and said you forgot to tip me. Another issue with our seats was the presence of dirty dishes cleared from tables located directly behind me and my date. Waiters were bumping us trying to squeeze by not to mention how disgusting that is to have that close to any table. This was not handicap accessible which could of been a huge liability for you. I eventually had to ask them to move it, which they did, but it should never have come to that. The evening as a whole was a huge disappointment for us, and certainly not the New Years' experience anyone would want anywhere, but especially not from the Four Seasons. It really felt like they hired a last-minute waiting staff that had no clue what they were doing. Moving on to the next day when we came back for brunch. Upon checking in at the restaurant, we were only offered three different buffet options which we were about to do until I noticed people ordering off an actual menu and I asked about that. She said that ends in 15 minutes which we still should have been given the option to order of off if it was still being served, which we did. Once seated we ordered coffee and drinks as well as our meal. We were served our drinks and croissants when a new young male waiter came to our table and told us word for word my manager said you guys have to pay before I bring you your food. We thought to ourselves that is weird but we paid for it. As we waited for our food we started making excuses for your staff like maybe it's because the brunch starts at noon and they want to close out other bills before then but noticed it was only us. When the waiter came back I asked him what the reason was and his response was honestly sir I do not know, it is strange, I have never seen this happen here before. I then asked him to send his manager (Sonia) over so she could explain. When she came over I asked her and her exact response was it was from the incident last night. We asked what incident? With a smirk on her face she said you guys left and never paid your bill. If this was really the issue they should have addressed this the moment we walked in and probably approached it in a manner that it was an honest mistake not blatantly accused us of stealing. They quickly realized the falsely accused us and tried to get us to not make a scene out of the issue since we were sitting in an open dining environment. They ended up comping our brunch and made promises both verbally and in writing till this day that they have still not made good on. All in all this hotel would be an embarrassment to any hotel chain but The Four Seasons of any we were shocked at how unprofessional things got handled from top to bottom. read more

Nice chain hotel, really nicely laid out. I could not criticize anything here except that perhaps the rooms are a little out of my budget range. But the place is really nice. I came here for a press conference on Economic issues, and the thing that was weird was that they put out food and coffee and about ten minutes later whisked it away, I suppose figuring that nobody would get thirst during the speakers (which lasted all day). Very peculiar. Might as well leave the coffee and snacks out until the show is over. read more

The hotel chains with the best and most globally-consistent service standards in the world are all Asian (Aman, Banyan Tree, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Shangri-La), except for Four Seasons, which on top of outstanding service, also offers chic, understated elegance. The México City property ranks up there, for both service and hardware quality (especially following a recent refurbishment). It's pricey, but occasionally they have special offers that make it competitive with other hotels, then I jump on the opportunity. The fitness facilities are a bit of a letdown (small gym, tiny pool, no steam room). read more
