From the moment we walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We both got a manicure and pedicure, and everything was wonderful. My manicure was done by Miss Elaine, and she did an incredible job! I showed her an inspiration photo, and she matched the color perfectly while making sure I loved the shape, length, and color throughout the entire appointment. They took me back a chair in the back of the room and offered me a drink menu which I wasn't expecting. I just got some green tea iced and ordered a water but that never came. The green tea was good and refreshing. Then another lady came and started on my pedicure but she never asked what I wanted or showed me a menu which is usually standard wherever I've gotten them in the past. As she was working on my toes, I finally pulled out my phone and showed her which one I wanted. Her English was not good and I am diabetic and needed to explain not to dig into my cuticles or pull any nails. She did not understand and did it anyway. Hopefully that will not cause me a problem going forward. Aside from that, the pedicure went well. She looked at my fingernails and said you need a manicure. I had not come for that. I had not requested that. But she did it anyway. I bite my nails, so I never need to have the manicure done and I never have that service done. I think she was just looking for an upcharge which I don't appreciate. After the pedicure and doing my fingernails, she had me go over to another place to do my neck and shoulder massage. I told her I had had recent shoulder surgery and not to do it very hard. It was still very hard and today my shoulders are very sore. I probably should not have had her do anything with massaging my shoulders. Because I don't know that she was trained in massage to do so. Then she looked at my ears while doing my shoulders and said that I had a lot of hair which I do and said she could take care of those. I didn't realize taking care of those meant waxing them and an added extra charge. My ears definitely feel smooth and I appreciate it but not telling me that there was an upcharge really ticked me off. I know how much it should have been for the pedicure but I wasn't expecting an extra $30 for those other two things that I did not come in for. I don't live in the area and came here solely to get a pre Cruise pedicure, and I could not see myself coming back due to these up charges that I did not come in for, not to mention she not speaking or understanding English which is necessary when you have a client with a medical condition that can't get cuticles messed with as much as she did.
