November 4, 2021 FIRST IMPRESSIONS... DONT SEE Liam It's been years since I've been here. I like to support local businesses so, I share the love and return; today that was a mistake. Appt at 1pm w/Mr Liam for full set and pedicure. Note: when I made appointment I said what I wanted then. I walked in at 1 and every tech had a customer...NO ONE acknowledged me; I just stood there. After a few minutes, I spoke to the only gentleman I saw working and asked if he was Liam? He smiled and said nothing. I stood there longer and since no one directed me to a chair, I went and used Walmart's RR. Came back...STILL NO acknowledgment or direction. Literally, not one staff member said anything to me, so I went to pick color for toes. I was kinda wondering what was wrong; I didn't look my best so did they think I was a bum or something?!! Anyways, I looked at the one area where the color was (not a big selection) and several of the bottle caps had caked on paint and couldn't be opened to test. After I found a toe color, I stood there again and STILL no one assisted or spoke to me. So, I asked the techs, where did they want me? (pedi chairs had no cup holders and the arms were dirty) A few minutes later, a young guy came out from the back area to do my pedicure. I relaxed but, I was just NOT feeling the love or appreciation as a (new) customer. I felt discriminated against, for lack of a better word. Before pedicure was done, Liam came over, smiled and started removing my old set. Told him I wanted acrylic color powder and a new set. He smiled. Pedicure guy told him what I said (I think??) When I got to Liam's station, I asked if he had a darker nail color from the one I had picked (mind you, I only had 1 pallet to choose from) I wanted a color to match my feet? He looked at feet and brought me 1 another polish that was basically the same color as I had. Soo, no color match for me today. (first time in 25 years that has happened) after Liam was filing, I noticed he wasn't putting a new set on, so, I asked if he was going to? He spoke to a tech and she said, you want overlay? I said, no mam I told him new set "color" acrylic powder. 2 very nice nail tech ladies had to translate more to him and it was all very awkward and uncomfortable. One of the ladies said, "you had gel before and that's what he do for you." So, now, it's too late to do "acrylic powder" so, I'm stuck with a gel color that doesn't match my toes. I was like, now, I'm just fed up but I keep my emotions in check and say, I'm sorry, no mam...I never once said, gel or overlay. Immediately after. , Liam got more aggressive with my hands. Still never speaking to me directly so, I stayed quiet until the next step was needed and then I had the ladies translate the shape I wanted AND to clean the paint off the sides when he was done. Well, because he seems to be in his feelings...instead of using the paint remover and brush to get paint off cuticles, he got the large emory board and filed the paint off the sides...which CUT a few cuticles and hurt. I'm just about to cry because...I want to leave. But, before he finished I told him, thank you. I don't know why I did that, I was just soo embarrassed to be there. When he was done w/me he abruptly got up and walked away. I went to counter to pay...every tech had a customer, so, he had to come back to check me out. He got the calculator and showed me $73; I said I think it's $68? (new set $40 and basic pedicure $28) See photo He said nothing. The lady heard and confirmed $68. I tipped $10 Other notable negatives: 1) the staff doesn't clean/wipe "nail" tables off after each customer. 2) pedicure chairs don't have drink holders and are not wiped down after each customer. I decided to go here based on the reviews, but it was a mistake for natural nails. They filed down my natural nails that took weeks to grow and didn't even get the shape right. It was clear when I showed them my picture that they weren't sure if they could execute or not - at that point I should have opted for something more simple or just left, but they said they could so I stayed. The polish was so sloppily put on that it is translucent in spots and it's all over skin. She was frustrated and started to hurry. When they were done she didn't allow the gel to cure long enough under the light and the edges are already chipping and pulling up less than an hour after I left. She took my hands out before the light had even gone through a single cycle. I paid $40 and left a tip..... I will never go back to this location. Love this nail salon! I take my 85 year old mother to get her mani/pedi's here, they are always friendly and accommodating! We usually go on a Sunday or Monday and we have never had to wait more than 5 mins. My mom is very rough with her nails and there have been a couple of times the nails haven't lasted very long .... But they suggested gel manicures and now her polish lasts 3 weeks! Depending on the person giving the service, the hand or leg massages are very nice and long. They always take the time to help her find the perfect color and I've watched them do more elaborate mani's on other customers and they do a very nice job with nail art, gel extensions & acrylic nails! I have seen customers bring in inspiration pics and they replicate them almost exactly! Plus their pricing is very affordable. Located inside Walmart on the sea wall in Galveston this is a hidden gym of a quality nail salon. read more

Crazy this amazing salon is located in Wally World. The exquisite job they did on my acrylics is bar none! My nails were getting really thick from past bad (and ridiculously expensive, $45 at Aqua Nails for a fill and repaint and it was horrible!) technicians. Didn't have to say a word at Regal, the gentleman simply corrected other's poor work and made my nails thin, elegant and I can actually scratch an itch with them they so fine. Went with the $32 deluxe pedi and it was fabulous, totally felt I got my money's worth (spent the same price at Aqua Nails and got literally a 1/3 of the treatment that I got at Regal). I got shellac for my acrylics (like I always do) and all together it was $62 well spent dollars, I simply couldn't be happier. read more

Went there yesterday for a mani and pedicure. .Left bleeding from my Ring finger and my nail cut not matching any of the others. The pedicure was ok but painful. Also had my eyebrows waxed and ended up having some wax on my pants!! All in all not a good experience and I will not be going back!!! read more

Im new to Galveston & was looking for a elite spa but i jus happened 2find their reviews on here&went...1of my best decisions I took my 12 year old daughter it was amazing they were so nice, polite, attentive, accommodating, i wanted some wine they didn't provide it but gave me the option to get it & bring it w/ me. My daughter laughed a lot w/ them...the only problem was they cut her nailsb4 asking if i wanted them cut..uugghh.
